It was a reasonable comparison. Sadly the silver lining is two victims instead of 50+ but the point remains the same. A violent shooting incident on VT's campus.

Not sure how you got what I said is comparing it to the 07 incident but whatever. My statement was meant to merely point out a public shooting and vigilante within a few years in the same area.


Either way, I think this should be about what's going on at VaTech, not squabbling about any other irrelevant crap.

Regardless of the details, a shooting at V. Tech will always draw comparisons to what happened in '07. It sounds like it was related to a traffic stop. Whatever happens, I am sure this is going to shake this community that went through a lot in '07 and the results from that tragedy.

CPayne why is the comparisons to the 07 shooting bothering you? And I mean that as a genuine question. I mean you jumped on NC but he pretty much said what we all were thinking, he just happened to be the first one to type it. Someone got shot at Virginia Tech, of course it's going to conjure up memories of what happened in 07.

I have family who works for VA Tech. Back in '07, he was one of the professors who barely made it out of one of the classrooms during that shooting.

Isn't this the third or fourth incident to happen at Tech in the last few years?

There was a temporary lockdown last year I recall because of reports of someone with a gun

They were on lockdown back in August too.

There was an incident not too long ago where a student was be-headed in one of the dining halls I believe. I think that happened maybe a year after the big shooting. My heart goes out to VT. They have really been through it.

Not sure. He could have easily changed clothes I guess. They didn't really say what vehicle the shooter at tech was driving at the time of the incident.

Seems like it. I guess they exchanged gunfire (I'm totally speculating) and he made it as far as the parking lot? That or it was self inflicted.
