I dont post on here much at all.......just read alot. However, watching this years Pro-Bowl is almost as bad as watching the NBA All-Star games. I have no idea why defenders are even out there. Which brings me to my sole reason for posting this........

That hit is probably the best highlight to come out of the Pro Bowl ever. Years later and people still remember it. I love the fact that he played that PB at full speed, so refreshing in today's mentality of half assing it the entire game.

That gives me a great laugh every time i see it and it gets better as it ages!! There were a whole bunch of AFC play (mainly receivers) that didnt want any part of ST that day. They dodged him like he had leprosy.

I beleive this to be the greatest hit ever by a Safety, and for the record Okoye probably was equal to 4 punters at the time.

To me, this is by far the best hit I've ever seen in the NFL. People would have to know about the Nigerian Nightmare's running style and how he used to truck over people to grasp how great of a hit this really was. One game I'm glad to have seen live on TV, and the play has always stuck in my head.

Atwater was known as a great hitter though so I dont think it was luck as much as great body position by atwater. Now he did not wrap up but he got nice and low and exploded through the ball carrier. On a side note I had totally forgotten about the nickname the nigerian nightmare! That made me smile!

You know you're badass when you take on Okoye straight up and knock him on his ass. But there's a few out there of Ronnie Lott. One comes to mind when he destroyed Gerald Riggs or William Andrews.
