2012 uniform changes thread
 

Not that anybody really cares about the Carolina Panthers, but I just thought I'd share their new logo with you guys. Not sure if the helmets will change or not, but it's always neat seeing teams change their logos/uniforms. I suppose sometimes teams need a fresh new look to go with a fresh new coaching staff.

I have to admit, I have never "hated" them. I guess because they have always been sort of the "home team". When I move to NC this year, they will literally be the home team then. I've always said if the Redskins got banished from the NFL, I'd have to support the Panthers.

I guess selling a ridiculous amount of Cam Newton wasn't enough...got to love a "fresh new look" that can "inspire fans" and bring in more merchandising business.

there are a ton of skins fans in nc, before they had the panthers a lot of them were skins fans.

as for the logo it's kind of like the lions logo change a year or two ago, it's cool. but i would have honestly never noticed the change without someone telling me.

I think its an improvement however subtle.

I live in Charlotte, and thought this was kinda....silly. They said they wanted a more aggressive looking panther, i personally dont see how its more aggressive.

As far as the Cam Jerserys, ridiculous!! My kid is a Redskins fan, but loves Cam so I got him a jersey for his Bday in Jan. I was charged $75 for a freaking replica jersey. I couldn't find one anywhere, they were sold out online, and if you did find one it was jacked up in price to something ridiculous.

I'll have to find a link, but there is a site online where the jerseys are like $18 a piece, and they are excellent quality! I didn't look for a Cam Newton jersey though.

They really should do something with uni's to go with the logo. They have the same logo on the helmet, sleeves and pants, way too many if you ask me.

I think it's time for us to change something Up aswell, I understand traditional but I'd like a updated logo

Sure, let's change it to a modern indian. Honestly I don't think we'll ever see an update to the 'Skins uni's, and that's fine by me.

Having to watch their sorry asses on TV every week is not a good thing for those of us who have to live down here! Trust me, Sonny and Sam on the radio are much better than watching the Panthers every freakin' week. I rate them right up there with Dallas as a must win game for the Redskins in 2012. Glad the game is in DC; we should have a better chance to shut them up for this season.

I could've gone more in depth but I didn't for a reason. ;). Let's just say i don't think we'll be seeing a uni or logo change anytime soon for good reason.

I like it! Updated but not to drastic. Panthers will look improved regardless to their new logo net year.

Its not some company trying to see what the fans like or trying to pass it off as what we might be wearing. All it was, was a board member wanting to get other fans to design their idea of an uni then possibly have it posted for a competition. I was just posting the pictures here cause I thought they looked nice. I too like the 1st and 3rd better. But I like the black also if they took away the white socks and used burgundy or gold.
