Season Ticket Renewals
Has anyone renewed their seats yet or plan on doing so this season?
|
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
I plan to renew my tickets but always wait until around the due date. They send it out so early that there is no reason to give them the money months in advance.
I don't think a lot of the members on this site are season ticket holders or if they are they don't really mention it. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
They notified me last year that I had season tickets and took the money in Jan, Feb and March. Talk about bad timing after Christmas, but this year I'm doing the same, probably won't pay till the end of March.
Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll throw something in considering paying early last year didn't work out like it did for those who waited late. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Not a STH and probably never will. Hell, I wouldn't go to every home game if the tickets were for free. Main issues I have is:
1) Having to pay full price for pre-season games 2) Time involved getting to/from game I'll stick to going to the ECU home games here. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Got to add that the one bright spot about ES is Mark the Homer's detailed info on jersey's, season tickets, and the stadium. Guy is a wealth of knowledge in those areas. I found it funny that as a STH himself, he advocates not being a STH because you can get better seats for cheaper on the side market.

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
i'm holding out for the dream seats. i've been on the list for over half my life. i figure if/when they become available, i'll be able to afford them by that point in time.

Save your money. It's not worth it, in my opinion. They are filled with nothing but a bunch of snobs who are there for nothing more than to be seen. Not everybody in those seats fits that stereotype, but a lot of them do. It's hard to see anything from them, too, unless the action is right where you are on the field. I've sat in them a few times. If I had a pick of any general admission seat in the house, it would be 50 yard line, 200s, under cover. Great view, protected from the rain, and surrounded by real fans. |

I agree with this. Only time I ever really look at that awful website anymore is if I have a question involving my season tickets. There are a lot of season ticket holders on that site and chances are any ticket or stadium question you have has already been answered there. |

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
how much does a single ticket in section 1 or 42 go for?
|
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
I've sat in Row 1, which is behind the dream seats and you can't see a thing unless it's directly in front of you. Don't think I'd ever own LL seats for that fact. I know the last rows of the LL aren't as bad, but call me crazy, I enjoy watching the plays form in the upper level.
As far as getting in and out NC, have you tried parking in the B3 Green Lot? I park there for games. Being I tailgate, it takes no time to get in because I'm there when the lots open. I'd say it takes me about 20-40min to get home if I leave from the B3 Lot and I live in Alexandria. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
i've been down there twice. i really like being able to talk to the players. i remember getting a thumbs up and a wink from chad morton after he ran a kickoff back for a td. otherwise i would stay home and watch it on tv.

Didn't see this early, what do you mean exactly? |

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
They keep begging me to purchase season tickets, but I live five hours away currently, and getting ready to move south into NC. I don't see me attending very many Redskins games like that. Actually, if they ever bring the Panthers into the NFC East, that would be the easiest way for me to see a game live. I'll only be about an hour and some change from Charlotte.

You got a parking lot I can get into that'll cut my travel time from the 5 hours it takes me to get to DC? :laughing- I'm much more into going to college football games than pro. I enjoy the atmosphere more. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
I drive 4 hours each way from North Jersey. Actually takes about 5 hours after the game. I go to about 6 games a year and love it. Football on TV is great to but there's nothing like being there live for me.

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
i'm a tv guy... it's hard to get to the stadium when you end up in kyrgyzstan, but slingbox + wifi is love.

I don't believe the Redskins make the dream seat prices known, only the people who buy them have that amount. I really couldn't tell you to be honest, but I know they are expensive. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
How much are season tickets for first time buyers? I know you have I sit in the nose bleeds to start, so how much would it be for a pair? Also what/ how are the payments done? Monthly? How much a month?
|
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
It all depends on where you sit at. I believe how the pricing works is endzone rows 16-29 are $44 each/game, 1-15 $64 each/game. Then sidelines 16-29 are $64 each/game, with 1-15 as $79 each/game.
I own four seats and green parking, which comes out to $3,864.00 for a season. If you buy season tickets before March 1st, you have a three-month plan, you pay March 1st, April 1st and May 1st. I think it came out to like $1,287.00, $1,284.00, $1,283.00, or something along that line for me. So just divide your total price into three. I don't think first time buyers will pay anything different than a life long member. So it depends on where you want to sit, endzone / sideline as well as what row. |

Lol that's a lot of loot, I think if they didn't make us buy preseason games then I could do it |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
My father, brother and I split it all up. Lets just say we don't buy anything unless we absolutely need it so we can keep anything saved for the tickets.
|
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Yea I guess if I really want them I could make some sacrifices, ugh I want them so bad lol
|
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
It's tough sometimes, especially after seeing what the $$$ turns into, but I guess that's why we're fans.

Re: Season Ticket Renewals

I have 2 lower level seats and green parking and it's $2500 and change. Not sure what the heck they quoted you... |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Being he's not a season ticket holder / his name hasn't come up, I'm assuming they're offering him club level. They use to call me periodically to offer them before my name came up on the wait-list.

Probably...they try and sell them to anyone who calls them. |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Yeah it's crazy. It would match up, he wanted a pair, $3,000 each is probably about right or at least in the general area.

Don't get to excited he was giving the wink and thumbs up to the girl behind you. |

there was only bacon behind me, i doubt he would have wanted any of it in his pan.

Re: Season Ticket Renewals

For me, it's about value vs cost. I think the tickets are overpriced, and have been for a good amount of years. Up until a few years ago, the Redskins had some of the highest ticket prices in the NFL, yet were one of the worst teams in the NFL. Now that other teams have new stadiums and expansions, our ticket prices have gone to around middle of the pack. Hell, the only reason he hasn't raised prices is due to the team not winning. NFL 2011-12 Season Average Ticket Prices | SeatGeek Blog The money I would have to spend to get to DC, stay in a hotel, parking, concessions (or tailgate food) is simply not worth it to me. I personally think the NFL is probably going to price themselves out before it's all said and done. The sad thing is, I'm quite sure many of these fans really can't afford to be paying for tickets but they still do. Hard to ask Congress to be fiscally responsible when our own people can't do it. Time. To me, that's more valuable than anything. At home (or a bar), I don't have to fight lines for drinks/food/bathrooms. Don't have to wait in lines to get in. Don't worry about having to ignore drunk obnoxious assholes. Don't have to worry about missing a play and able to see reviews on a whim. Trust me, I know all about live game days. I live about 1/2 mile from the stadium here in town and walk to a many of the games here. Love it, but then again, I get special access where I don't have to wait in lines and get free food. :cheeky-sm |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
I go see a couple games a year, but when the team's not winning I see no point in shelling out big money just to watch an average to mediocre team lose. I would never pay 6 grand to get season tickets for the Redskins unless I had plenty of money to blow and the team had the pieces to play good to great football that year. Read; a good starting quarterback.

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Was lurking on ES and read that the Gray Lot is no more. Does anybody have Gray Lot parking and confirm they were upgraded to either the Green or Green B-3 Lot(s)?
Apparently the Gray Lot is going to become the new staff lot? Not sure why that is. Isn't that yellow lot right by the South Gate Tunnel the current staff/players lot? Not sure why they'd make the staff walk so much further away. Wouldn't that apply to the camera people as well? Can't see them hauling all that equipment over that way, but I'm just not sure either. |

My guess is any type of "equipment" they are carrying will be dropped off near the stadium. It could apply to the staff working the game. Vendors/security/ticket scanners/etc... |
Re: Season Ticket Renewals
Yeah I can understand that aspect, as far as moving the fans into the Green lots, but still the staff part confuses me.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have staff park in the RV Lot, then make the Gray Lot the RV lot? I believe the Gray Lot was one of the largest lots correct? |
