Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Need to get Kory done as well.
Getting Will done is good for the club. |
Geez not a good sign already surgery and on the hip.. hope hank can shake it and come around for us
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
We can look at the bright side out of things and at least take some comfort in the fact that he is getting it done now instead of waiting to hope it heals it self. (like another Redskin)
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Good news on Monty. He's a good one.

Hey. The roids are going to help his Achilles. It's gonna be super jacked. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
That twitter S*it gonna get Hank kicked of the team LOL, good for Monty.
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Not good on Hank. Obvious setback. Interesting to see how he responds and how the hip may impact his speed.
Pencil in Monty at center, not bad to be set there. Lets see how the rest of the Oline falls in. |
I was under the impression that Hank needed surgery all long....no?
|

I didn't think it needed surgery |
I don't care what Hank needed as long as it heals properly.
and I'm glad they got Montgomery locked up, starter or backup he can still contribute to the team. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Now if they would sign Fletcher and Fred Davis.
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
^ exactly. we need both those guys, as well as carriker and lichtensteiger before we go out and get other FAs
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
I googled "hip surgery recovery NFL", and came up with below. Not sure if they had torn labrums..
1) Aaron Hernandez hip surgery 2/2011 - 79 catches 910yds in 2011 2) Eddie Royal hip surgery 2/2011 - was fine in 2011, numbers down from Tebowmania Hope Hank recovers well for a good sophomore season, we need good WRs and haven't had a good tall one in years. |

Should be done soon from what I hear. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
I am a big fan of Hankerson hes going to be good next year.

I thought that was why Paul and Robertson was brought in, for speed. Hank was the big possession WR we needed. The big question will be how will it effect him off the LOS and the jam? My question is why wasn't this done a month after he got the injury? I'm thinking all along he did and that he was almost done with recovery and would be ready 100% come camp. |

I wouldn't want him anyway. Isn't he like 46 by now? Young FA, not decrepit ones... |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
thanks for the info DC.

Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Not a big fan of Montgomery. Was hoping we'd get someone a little bigger and stronger to hold things down in the middle.

That's why you get RG3. He can make'em miss with just the time it takes for the giants D line to run over montgomery. Just kidding, kind of. Also, what are we paying montgomery? He did ok but he certainly isn't an elite center. |

That's what I thought too. And if that is in fact the case, strange that they waited so long. Anyways, sounds like he'll be good to go for camp. |

I think they thought it could heal itself naturally, but I guess it didn't. |

It was better to retain Montgomery than to let him depart via free agency since he can play either guard or center. Will Montgomery played a lot better in 2011 at center than Casey Rabach played in 2010. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Re-signing him doesn't necessarily mean he'll be our starting C
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Monty has value as a backup at the very least. I doubt his deal was anything crazy.
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
hank will be fine

Shanny likes smaller, inside swing linemen that are a little shorter and more athletic. Montgomery fits the bill. |

You both could play center better than Rabach did in 2010? |

Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Is there a reason Hankerson waited until late Feb to get surgery on his hip? I understand thse players want to rehab it to avoid the knife, but I feel like he would have known earlier than this... I am admitedly ignorant about this type of stuff -- can anyone set me straight?

If I recall correctly, he was told to see if it would heal first before opting for surgery. |

That's what I saw in reports. That he's just been doing what he's been told to do by team Doctors, and they apparently thought he could just rehab it. |
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
Does anyone know how much they gave Montgomery. I want them to sign Carricker.
|
Re: Montgomery signs 4 year deal, Hankerson has hip surgery
we resigned darrion scott

Why?

I guess now that he is thirty, he has become a hot commodity and they were afraid he would sign somewhere else, or just leave football for another two years. |
