Fred Ex rips ESPN Analysts
I saw him make the comments twice, but for the life of me can't remember well enough to actually quote him. He said something to the effect of:
"(You hear these so called analysts come out and belittle players. Maybe you should spend more time just talking about the game and not belittling players. We would respect you more....They come out with their rings and try to tell people how to play the game)..."what they should do against the cover 2 (sarcasm) Yeah...Thanks...didn't know that. I guess they forgot that the farther you get from the game the slower it actually is. We're out there going a hunderd miles an hour." "(They know who I'm talking about)" Freddie Mitchell has a disease some people call "Foot In Mouth Syndrome." I'm so sick of this jackass. Some side show that makes an impact once in 3 seasons in the NFL and he shoots his mouth off for weeks after that. He had 1 TD catch against the Vikes and recovered a fumble for another. Then he thanked his hands for being so great. That's funny, they didn't look that great when that bitch was fumbling the ball out of the end zone on what looked like a sure TD in the 3rd Quarter. Touchback Freddie. Story of your wack ass career. This guy gets his 15 mins of fame off of one game, I really hope Rodney Harrison ends that this weekend. I mean really, when has this much hype surrounded such a worthless player? He's the WR equivalent of Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Ki Jana Carter, and every other first round bust you can think of. He's not even as good as Michael Westbrook at this point in his career. I hate Freddie Mitchell. I even think he has the tools to be a decent WR, but I've thought that for a while, so I like to say "No one does less with more than Freddie Mitchell." That said, if I were in the media, I would keep a mic in his face. He's going to cost Philly games if he doesn't shut his mouth. Stu Scott reported that one of the Pats defenders told him that Rodney Harrison will lay Freddie Mitchell out. On to my final point. Where does Freddie Mitchell get off questioning Michael Irvin. I don't care what we think of Irvin, he was a great receiver and I think he is a very good analyst. I find him particularly entertaining. That's beside the point. I'm willing to bet that any season Irvin was healthy he never had just 22 catches in one season. 22? He doesn't even rank in the top 82 pass catchers in the NFL. I only know the top 82 because that's all ESPN ranks. Troy Edwards (who? I know who, but come on...Troy Edwards) had 50 catches...that's better than twice that of Freddie Mitchell and you don't hear him refer to himself to as a "special player." What a jackass! When this clip was shown to Tom Jackson and Mark Schlereth, they had little to say. Tom Jackson said, "he's earned his right to an opinion." Schlereth: "I think he has earned his right, but I am certain I've earned mine." This shouldn't sit well with anyone at ESPN...hell...if you couldn't tell it doesn't sit well with me. |
This is a contract year for Freddie Mitchell. Though he sounds like a jackass, I wonder if all this exposure he's getting may raise his price a bit.
Fred Ex needs to shut the hell up. At first, I thought this was funny, but this is just annoying. He had 22 catches this year, he had one good game, now he thinks he should be in the hall of fame. Seriously, i hope Rodney Harrison lays him out badly on Sunday.

No way IMO. He's made himself look like a dumbass, a clown. And on top of that he hasn't done anything on the field to raise his price. |
I don't remember anyone calling Fred Mitchell's name all year until that championship game. This is one of the few things I agree with ESPN and Michael Irvins on, Fred just wants the attention! If he thinks this is some sort of way to psyche out the New England Patriots, he might want to think twice on this situation!
Mitchell is a joke, I hope someone knocks his block off on Sunday.
The guy has a huge mouth for someone who is such an underacheiver. Someone needs to tell Freddie that guys like Irvin have earned their right to voice their opinions, Irvin is a future Hall of Famer, a guy with rings on his hand and a guy who could back up his mouth with his play ON THE FIELD. Right now Mitchell is all talk, nobody respects a guy like that. |
I know I shouldn't say this, but I like Ervin as a commentator. I'm shocked how the Cowboys guys, besides that ass Moose, actually respect the Redskins a lot! Ervin says it how he sees it, you have to respect that.
I have no problems with Irvin either, he's kinda grown on me.
I actually gained a little more respect for Irvins this past year when he actually picked the Redskins to beat Dallas before their first meeting. As much as I hated the guy on the field, he was a great receiver!
When I don't think about Irvin's past, specifically the off-the-field parts, I don't mind him as much. I guess a lot of people have baggage.
On the whole Freddie Mitchell situation, I can't put into words to describe what an asshole he is. Who in the hell do you think you are? |
pretty sad that you have 2 receivers starting in the Super Bowl (TO has already been relegated to the #3 slot), 1 is a superficial moron of a jackass (Mitchell) and the other is deathly afraid to go over the middle (Pinkston)...and McNabb will still figure out how to keep them in the game. Go figure...
I want the Patriots to completely and totally blow out the Eagles. I don't even want it to be a game.
who is Fred Ex?
Dan Patrick had a pretty nice response to Mitchell's desire to be an ESPN analyst:
"We'd probably hire him. We've hired other guys who didn't have great NFL careers. We hired Sean Salisbury." |

haha great response by Patrick
I want to see Irvin throw a right hook into Mitchell's jaw. For some reason, I can see those two having the first ever annoucer's brawl.
Irvin reminds me of Magic when he was commentating NBA games. At first he seemed a little in over his head but as time when on, I really appreciated his passion and down to earth style. I really look forward to what Irvin has to say. :oink:
I really look forward to seeing Mitchell getting knocked out of the game Sunday.:)

...and instead, he is a tool:laughing2 |
http://www.freddiemitchell.com
This guy is unbelivable. |
how bad would it suck if we signed him to be our number two receiver....

Daseal........quick get the smelling salts........I'm SHOCKED you like Irvin as a commentator............. :smashfrea I think he likes to hear the sound of his own voice. I don't watch NFL Countdown on ESPN because of Irvin and Young can't abide either................ I think when Troy Boy and Moose interviewed Joe Gibbs that gave them a reason to be respectful of the Redskins........gotta respect a man that has accomplished all he has and yet remain humble .......A far cry from Troy's egotistical coach Jimmy "the hair" Johnson.............. |
Although McNabb appears humble and showed a lot of class during his controversey with Rush Limbaugh........I can't stand the OBNOXIOUS, SELF-PROMOTING LOUDMOUTHS like T.O, Fred..................I HATE THE EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!
So where was Freddie last night?
1 catch for 11 yards, way to back up your mouth Freddie! What a joke. |
The only thing worse than Freddy's wardrobe is his game. The guy is a joke.
I bet he avoids the press too so that no one can ask him about his "performance" last night.
You know whats really funny? He called Rodney Harrison out, and Rodney Harrison ended up with more catches than he did........good stuff.
HA! I didn't think about that.... hahaha, that's hilarious.
I would think the Eagles are going to get Greg Lewis more involved in their passing game next year. He seems like a good complement to TO
Yeah, the dude can catch!

Yeah, I dont know why he didnt get more PT this year, from what I've seen. The Eagles are gonna be nasty at WR if this kid keeps it up. |
Freddie Mitchell can do it all baby!!

"He mumbled and (receiver) Freddie Mitchell yelled out the play we were trying to bring in. He was puking at the same time, trying to hold it in." "It was my first time being the quarterback in the NFL," Mitchell said on a local television station. "It was hard. He kind of tried to get the hand signals to the team, but I knew what he was thinking. I just finished the play up."
