2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Hard to believe Amobi Okoye is going to his third team already and he's only 24/25
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Dude really tore it up his first season, then he kind of dropped off...
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Yeah I remember when he came out he was like 19/20 and they were talking about him as a steal for Houston. And now he's just another average defensive tackle.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Bengals just released Safety Chris Crocker.
I say we bring him in on the cheap. We need bodies at the position. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
He's been decent at times in his career. Better than Doughty!
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
i traded for okoye his rookie or sophomore season because of his cap-friendly contract and his upside. he'll always hold a special place in my heart for that reason
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Hard to imagine there's any team in the league that could bring in Chris Crocker to improve its safety situation, but the Redskins are that team.

any interest in yaramiah bell? i would take him over crocker or madeau williams
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
That Crocker kid reminds me of late teen Macauley Culkin, high on whatever tickles his fancy.

This is the guy we need to get to before the our cap arbitration case. "Bitch, please" defense is second to none. |

We'd get more oomph if we brought in his sister Betty. |

It would suck for us if Giants gets Keith Rivers. He is pretty good player, barring injuries of course. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
I think this is relevant because I think the Giants were a possible destination for London Fletcher. If NY finalizes this deal with the Bengalns, that'd be one less option for Fletch...
Ralph Vacchiano @TheBlueScreen The Giants and Bengals have all but completed the deal for LB Keith Rivers, according to a source. Should be finalized shortly. #NYG |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
The Giants trade for Kieth Rivers and gave up a fith. Sounds like a steal to me.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
how much of our scouting staff had been turned over since allen came to town? whatever factors contributed to last year's draft, they deserve credit. i'd like to see another one like that, trades netting picks
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
well. Rivers has played as many snaps as Lance Briggs played last year in his first four in the league.

Yeah that's a win for the Giants. They are too good. |

first round DTs are pretty safe. QBs and DEs are the 50%ers... |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Trevor Laws to the Rams, Antuan Molden to the Giants, Alice to the Moon

Ah, I see they're trying the old "place turnstile at tackle" theory. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
So I just read that the Falcons are being considered for Hard Knocks. I don't know how to feel about that. They don't seem to be that much interesting.

I'll second that. It'd be like putting the Jags on Hard Knocks. Coming up on our Hard Knocks preview: "Watch Blaine Gabbert throw the ball to WR #1! See which no-name linebacker easily catches the horrible thrown ball! And after practice is over, guess which rookie has to sing his alma maters' song!" |

Think the Falcons have officially been offered the show. Jaguars wanted it but HBO wasn't interested. Broncos, Ravens, and I think 49ers weren't interested |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
So Peyton Manning is individually calling all the Colts' beat writers and columnists over his career to thank them for their hard work while he was in Indy...that's pretty cool

That's very classy on his part, I'm sure that's a rare treat when an athlete goes out of his way to thank the local media after his departure from the place where he spent his entire career. |

he calls, he tips, he holds your bag without asking what's inside, perfect airport buddy

Bill Simmons @sportsguy33 Excited for the episode when Mike Smith unveils his new 4th-and-1 strategies. MT @AdamSchefter: Falcons have been offered Hard Knocks. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Funny that most forget the Jags have already been on Hard Knocks. Yeah, I don't remember much of it either.

Well technically it wasn't Hard Knocks. It was another show similar to Hard Knocks. Think it might have been on NFL Network |

Only 3 more and he'll have a bakers dozen. He must have the best family reunions.
