UDFA Thread

Eain Smith, S, WVU
Michael Shaw, RB, Michigan
Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia

Have all agreed so far.

Minnifield is a 1st/2nd round talent who had micro fracture surgery.

Still laughing this clown didn't get drafted. The fact he left early is all the more funnier. I imagine he was in the locker room and around campus talking big and bad about he was going to get drafted high. Jokes on him.

I think it's fitting the Bengals want him.

Minnifield (#13) is a great signing; could win the nickel spot.

So CB is still looking like Hall and Wilson for 1 and 2. If Minnifield ends up Nickel, and we just signed Torrence back.. Does that make Barnes the odd man out?

NYCSkin 04-28-2012 09:40 PM

Frank Minnifield was a beast...know nothing about his son

Shaw has potential but most likely will be practice squad fodder. If you want a Michigan back, Tousissant was the man at U of M this past year.

Perfect fit for him.

I say he's out of the NFL in 2 years.

Kiper and McShay actually had some pretty good insight into Captain insaneo. Aside from the personal foul penalties and refusing to come out of the game when told, he was simply very VERY selfish. Always wanted to go for the big hit. Refused to wrap up on tackles (sup Landry). As a person simply brought everyone down alluding to the possibility that he was not well liked at all as a human being.

And most importantly his production went from 90 tackles as a Sophmore to 60 something tackles as a junior. I mean Spikes had his own problems but above all else he was productive at Florida.

Basically a terrible human being and pretty bad at football.

Wow, why didn't they draft him over those other two random corners? Thats the type of corner I like. Good all around, doesn't cost a high draft pick.

Why would you want Burfict in camp? Seems like a disruptive force in the locker room.

Chase Minnefield can make this team. The competition at Corner and both Safety positions is gonna be fun to watch.

Eh not really. I mean it's more then likely that CB and S are going to stink this year and we'll be lucky if they're average which is fine with me. I'm more worried about the front 7 on both sides of the ball and QB play. Plenty of teams have done well with weak secondaries. The Steelers and Giants come to mind.

Still if this Minnefield kid heals he will be a steal. Still don't get why they didn't draft him over the two camp fodder db's they got in round 7.

what's the harm in not drafting him if he ended up being undrafted? lol

or did you want a diff target?

Well I mean he's clearly more promising then the other 2 guys we drafted in round 7. Just makes no sense to me to risk not getting him as an UDFA.

So I take it micro fracture surgery is pretty serious considering Minniefield went from 1-2 round prospect to undrafted? What's the deal with micro fracture surgery? Part of the body? Recovery time? Dirt, help me out so I can relax, I know you're a doctor.
