NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

This is...huge.

Only a few of us (honestly, I think maybe just one or two other people here besides me) have ever had any access to this footage. But starting next year anyone can see every angle from every play of every game...for a relatively small fee.

Trust me, you've never seen football like this before. It's remarkable to see.

Now I can't get mad at people when they say they are watching 'film' when in fact they are just re-watching a game on their dvr.

Re: NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

I think this will help us understand the game better, and will certainly serve guys like Gtripp and SS33 break the game down better, but it will also have the potential to hurt players and open those in the NFL up to a new level of critique from fans.

Re: NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

I'm shocked.
This is a great day for the hardcore football aficionado.

I wonder what this is gonna do to the level of football discussion in this forum?
I thought the NFL would never give fans access to all 22.
I bet far more will watch it then will actually understand it.
I predict the number one most heard statement fans will say when the refer to all 22:

Receiver (insert name) was open on given play X or QB (insert name) should have thrown it to receiver (insert name)instead because the receiver was open
But if you don't understand what you're looking at on all 22 most receivers look open on most of the time

or we'll hear stuff like the RB missed the cutback lane etc...

It seems like its implying 69 a game

Pretty sure it's for the whole season. All on demand.

You won't know the play call, or what audibles may have been called. But there are too many people across the interwerbs who make assumptions in their game analysis without having been able to truly see the whole play. Hopefully this puts and end to that

That Guy 06-16-2012 06:00 PM

So this means we'll be seeing more Gtripp posts??

**** YOU NFL!!! :censored:

Just kidding. This is nice for people who care about reviewing film and such, but nothing I will be buying. The NFL continues squeezing people out of coin, and damn if they aren't doing a good job at it as well. I think most of their stuff is overpriced as is.

Re: NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

I think this is a smart decision by the NFL. They were facing something of a credibility issue for trying to keep the game film in limited distribution. With that said, they opened this up for public availability a lot sooner than I was honestly expecting.

Re: NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

My fear is that the "all 22" can be easily abused or misunderstood when used improperly.

I hope that people understand that even with "all 22" there are things that we don't know which still limit the conclusions/assumptions that can be made about a given play.

Awhile back on a Titans forum I broke down some "all 22" of Jake Locker and it was crazy some of the conclusions people were making based on the plays we watched.

$69 a game would be absurd, especially when considering the Sunday Ticket is $199

30gut 06-19-2012 09:13 AM

Re: NFL To Give Fans Access to "All 22"

69 is a great number and its a hellavu cheap price for what you get

the NFL's "all 22" package gives what imo is the crown jewel of the NFL ticket, condensed games, at less then half the cost

I am fan of football and therefore the NFL as a whole, I admittedly follow and root for some non-B&G players and am a member of a couple other teams forums.
But make no mistake I bleed burgandy and gold.

There was an OL from Washington Ben Ossai #79 who posted a bunch of games 2010 Huskie games on youtube (I assume with permission from their athletic department).
I believe they're still available but I'm at work and can't see youtube.

I don't disagree with you.

But my understanding of human nature tells me that such is already happening. To me the all 22 will simply change what is talked about, not how people talk about it. IMO.

I hope that now people will finally realize how little information some armchair analysts actually have, and that those same analysts will be more forthcoming in what they have access to. No more misleading the reader, just be honest about what you see

I could see a lot of people here becoming obsessed with posting their telestrator screens.

I tried it out...works great!

but no "All 22" package

I purchased it from nfl.com , it's for people who live outside the USA. Cost 199 dollars (but it's 159 euros so it seems a bit cheaper ˆˆ).

Too bad All In isn't available internationally, I would certainly have bought a game or two.

I just checked, actually "the coaches film" is the game, play by play, filmed from far enough so you can see all the players. I wouldn't watch a whole game like that because there is no sound but it's really great to understand some plays, like TDs or INTs.
