My dad worked on Joe Jacoby's car today!

Hey guys I just wanted to tell you my dad worked on Joe Jacoby's car today! My dad is a Ford Tech down at Malloy Ford in Winchester, VA. Joe Jacoby's car came in for an oil change and a tire rotation.

Super nice guy from all accounts I heard today, promised to bring back a signed football in the next few weeks for him because he's due back for a brake job.

My dad made some small talk with him while he was there paying, etc.. He is still coaching the OL at Shenendoah University, loves the Winchester area from what he said.

Just thought it was some cool local redskins news!

F150 or another one of the Ford trucks. Seems as though he may be a F-250 Diesel 4x4 type of guy to me.

I once did a dog training class with Joe Jacoby. Joe was there with his daughter. He walked into the pet store and his head skimmed the top of the door, just to give you an idea of how tall he was. He was a nice guy. Big guy! But very nice. Irony was that a guy of his size and with his whole family being tall (definitely not small) people, the family dog was one of those small girl purse dogs. Picture that one for a second with big Joe walking that little thing haha

I thought Jacoby had a car dealership in VA somewhere?

He sold it just before the economy turned South - so did Mike Nelms.

Yeah, JJ had a Jeep dealership in Warrenton from '94 until just a few years ago. When the dealership first opened up, he had a grand opening where you could enter to win a football signed by many (pretty much all) of the current players. I went in there with a friend and his dad (I was 11 at the time) and put my name in the hat. I ended up winning. My family went to collect the prize and we got to meet Joe. Real nice guy.

I met him when I was eight years old at what is now called the Charles Town Races and Slots facility. Back then it was just a horse track. Got a 10 x 6 signed by him that I still have. HUGE man. This was also in 1986 when he was still in his playing days.

Recently bought a custom jersey of his to wear to games this season. My brothers work at a specialty shop in Woodbridge, get's a lot of Redskins players, as well as other NFL players from the local area there too, pretty cool.

never met the man but I have met Thiesman a few times in fact and I have to say he was great everytime.Really is nice when you have a chance to meet these guys and they really are nice normal people....1986 after the Giants first SB I took the family up to Chatum NJ to see them practice and we met Simms and Carson both of them the nicest you would ever want to meet but LT was a total ass.

You used to live near Bryce? Very nice, I've only been there once but I can't wait until winter comes around to go back. Awesome story btw.

Just now getting home from work and seeing this post.

My dad said it was a very basic Ford SUV, nothing flashy. It was a newer car, not an explorer but the smaller escape i believe.

I thought too that he would have a big flashy car, and maybe he does at home, but this car was very basic and it could have belonged to anyone if you didn't know any better.

I have seen Joe Jacoby myself before, the old church that my wife and I used to attend (Fellowship Bible Church) I would often see him setting a few rows in front. I was always too afraid to talk to him, certainly in church, and certainly not about the Redskins in church, lol.

Thank you for that. A non-flashy car sounds about right for JJ.
