i think its long overdue, would be cooler if the chick refs would wear something like the girls us beach volleyball team.

I get that sense too. At first I thought it would be a good thing, now I'm thinking we're probably all going to get extremely frustrated at some point this season when these replacement refs blow some calls.

As far as female refs go, I mean what is the big deal? Are they somehow going to ruin the upstanding reputations of all the male refs that have preceded them? (I keep saying them when I should be saying her lol). It's not like refs have a stellar reputation anyways, so I highly doubt this one scab female ref is going to do any better or worse than the rest of these scabs.

Whatever happened to the female refs in the NBA? Bet they were better than those frauds that had been refing before.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but as long as they weren't betting on games and then directly calling penalties that impacted the outcome of said games, than they were automatically better than guys like Donaghy.

Maybe the "fake " refs will actually see 98 getting tackled to the ground

From Fox's booth ref Mike Pereria a couple days ago:


“They’ve tried to say that Craig Ochoa, who worked the (Hall of Fame) game, was a BCS official, that he worked in the Big Ten,” Pereira told The McNeil and Spiegel Show.

“He didn’t work in the Big Ten. He’s not been a major college official. Ive stated this here before. The LFL is legit. And not because there are a lot of hot girls running around but because the play is legit. The amount of pads they wear may reveal more skin but it makes for a type of football you cant see anywhere else.

Honestly after the NFL and college i would say its easily the next best. Its the only indoor leauge worth watching, imho.

I think this will be just a preseason experiment. I'm not saying women are incapable of this job, but we'll see if they can physically handle it...plus the added scrutiny and backlash when they blow calls like their male counterparts.

For the most part, the refs today are terrible. Week in and week out we see awful ticky tack calls. I don't care if females are calling games cause they can't be any worse then what we're currently seeing.
