u ever see that pick of Reed on the ground as Andre Johnson celebrated in the end zone with the game winning td catch over him? I just did the samething at work when i read the thread title. its like get kicked in the nuts over and over again when it comes to our secondary.

I hated seeing the TJax suspension but I'm comfortable with Madiu Williams stepping in BUT Doughty??? he's a great special teams player that's it he's always a step behind and too slow at safety this scares me if he starts. Toasted secondary

Dude, Doughty is not that bad. Johnson is on of the best recievers in football. How many safeties are going to win that jump ball.

Reed is the only back up expected to play at an All Pro level by the fans.

I hate to see him start Chico but he keeps making the team no matter who the coach is. Hopefully he shows us why against the Saints.

As Drew B salivates, i bet even before this injury he was thinking about 325/4. Its ok boys he cant throw from his back. Kerrakpo will take care of the secondary.

its become the redskins version of the Tebow, "Reed fall to the Knees", everytime our secondary gets beat for a TD. Everyone knows who is a skins fan, knees more scuffed up than a DC prostitute

I saw this when the news broke and had to read it like four times because I was like, are they talking about another Meriweather from another team? Between him, Jamaal Brown, and Malcolm a few years ago. Some guys just never see the field as Redskins.

All I know is, we'll need to put up at least 28 points if we think we have a shot at beating the Saints.

I dunno who was rubbing my nose in the whole, Doughty issue last week. But remember when I said Reed stinks as a starter and because God hates us, there's going to be an injury and Doughty will be a starter at least some of the games this season even though he's just an average backup?

Yeah. This.

I'm not chicken littling or anything. I just feel really vulnerable on the deep balls when he's back there. Maybe he's gotten better. I wanna see the guy do well, he's a really great man outside of football, but I just don't feel comfortable with him as a starter.

Williams is already the starting free safety anyways is he not? It's just a case of going with Gomes or Reed in the SS spot. It seems Gomes got a few snaps with the starters according to reports.

I think Gomes will surprise, he's a scrappy player. Honestly, I think he'll be better than Meriweather who is always hurt.

Gomes can't be any worse than Barnes. Remember Barnes played safety back in 2010. Actually Barnes wasn't too shabby at safety. Hm.
