Already explained why in a previous post in another thread, but basically don't underestimate how big and important Carriker was at getting double teams and pushing the pocket and Orakpo was at everything (maybe not pass defense). It'll take some adjusting and time, but not this week. Although I do think we play a much better game than we did last week.

I don't even have a "gut" of what to predict besides my typical pain. The Redskins have proven over the years to be totally unpredictable and while I'd like to say we win another shoot-out, I wouldn't be shocked to see a defensive battle too.

I'll say this, I think Kerrigan gets 2+ sacks as he's going to be WAY too fast for Smith.

First post on the Warpath!!!!!! I have been viewing/reading your forums for several years now. I work a lot on Sundays and the only way I really am able to follow games is checking this site "gameday threads" which are awesome! Looking forward to sharing football insights with fellow Skins fans! (Need a breath of fresh air living in the Carolinas with all of the Panther fans) With that said, hate to start negatively, but...I see us losing a close one in our home debut as I don't think we've quite turned the corner yet when it comes to beating and equal/lesser opponent handily on our "turf"...we always play down to our competition, especially at home.

I think the Bengals will try to be aggressive and blitz. I can see the Redskins target Fred Davis a bunch of times this game to offset that somewhat and also to reduce the hits on RGIII.

This past week was abnormally bad for some guys that normally show up on game day: Perry Riley, LBF, Kerrigan. I don't think we should expect the same type of defense showing up, particularly at home.

Agreed why do the majority of folks who know what to post have to punished for the actions of the few. Seemed silly to close the picture thread why not hand out suspicions vs. closing that thread. I don't think a banned is fair either.

Back on topic. For mildly suggestive stats on how both teams have done so far. (Though with different opponents, it's apples vs. oranges).

The redskins stump all conventional logic (most experts are predicting a close game) and RG3 shows that he is the master of his domain (Fedex Field). The skins reound after suffering a rather embarrassing loss to the lowly Rams. No touchdowns allowed on defense.
