Just a question: how should Victor Cruz comments about the Redskins not being a legitimate contender be taken? Is it disrespect? Should it be perceived that he was running his mouth? Or was he telling the truth that the Redskins are just a few pieces away from actually contending? The Redskins have the team to contend NOW and make a run at the post season. I for one feels he should stfu and play football.

I guess he's partially right, we won't know if the Redskins are legitimate until they kick some Giant ass on Monday night. Right? If we lose are the Redskins a legitimate playoff team?

I've always found that when a player from another team makes derogatory remarks about your team...the best remedy is to go out and thoroughly kick their ass. Hopefully that's the way we handle it and Mr. Salsa will think twice about what he chooses to say about us in the future.

I think his comments were true but also inappropriate. Regardless of what thinks of the Redskins he should have never publically degrade them weather it's true or not. One thing that he should have learned from his teammate Andrell Rolle is that you do not give your opposing team bulletin board material.

When it comes to our team I don't think they should care one way or the other. If they need Cruz to motive them then they aren't ready to play this game. The Giants are going to come in here at their best. They will not underestimate RG3 or this Redskin team. Our guys have to focus on the the task at hand and not what Victor Cruz is saying about them. If he's wrong go out on the field and prove it. I'm not just talking about this game. Go out there for the next 5 games and prove it.

He was asked a question, he answered it. If the Redskins players needed THIS to motivate them then they're more than a few pieces from contending. Seriously, this is ridiculous. Stop being so damn sensitive. Too many times people throw around the word "respect" but I've found that less and less people actually know what that word even means. The ones who scream for it the most typically are those who show the least to others anyway. Victor Cruz thinks we're a few pieces from contending...it's his opinion, but not one he offered up on his own, he was answering a question. I apologize for my tirade here, but now I'm disrespecting my last Corona and that's worse than anything Victor Cruz could possibly say. LOL.

He's absolutely right. And who cares? So childish to get worked up over an honest assessment. If bulletin board material is needed, over just the sheer importance of the game, that's just sad.

No big deal; in fact Cruz's comments were more complimentary than anything. And even if the Skins do try to make it bulletin board material, it won't be enough to offset DHall's comments from after the first match-up.

I don't think the Redskins need bulletin board material or that anyone has implied they do. I just don't like what he said and that's just the way it is. We've beat them 2 out of the last 3. We're obviously legitimate enough to kick their ass and that's all Cruz needs to worry about. I'm sure not gonna waste my time defending him...he can go screw hisself for all I care. Fair enough. But in the end rings are what define legitimate to me. The transitive property is really just a way skins fans justify our inconsistencies.

It definitely has, but I still think its quite juvenile and a bit lame professionals feel they need that sort of spark to get going.

I'm not usually the type to blame the "media" but maybe a story is being made out of nothing. I don't really know who is to blame, just that I don't like it. I feel it takes away from the actual game on the field.

The fact people treat sports as news is a good start. I'm sorry a player talking about another team is not breaking news and we don't need alerts. Its almost scary how people follow these stars and they're every word like thay are something special. They are just people with a really cool job.
