Now whose gonna jump on the pile after the tackle has been made? |
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Run DMC may be on the trade block. I really don't see Oakland getting much from any team.

And yes I am aware it was the Raiders that gave up that much. Just sayin' though, I wouldn't be surprised if some team thought they needed a back that badly that they'd give up good picks for him. |

I think the issue is McFadden's health, the guy can't stay healthy. I just don't see a team giving up a lot for him. Maybe a mid/late round pick. Although, if I am the Packers, I'd take him for that price. |
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
McFadden also is an injury prone running back, which is what a lot of teams do not want. Plus running backs are not that high in demand because there are a couple of good ones in almost every draft, Morris, Martin, even Ballard from Indy, there are just so many serviceable running backs that trading for one really does not seem to make sense.
Ray Lewis's play has been lackluster in recent years, always has a few good games but has obviously lost a step. Still one of the greatest leaders, linebackers, and studiers of the game. Obvious Hall of famer. |
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Nobody trades high picks for RBs anymore. Especially ones that can't stay healthy.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Predictions for the weekend? I still haven't decided myself
Leaning Bengals, Ravens, Vikings |
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
I know Shanny is Shanny, but Morris was a 6th round pick. There are good RB's out there without trading for a frequently injured player
Predictions for the weekend? I still haven't decided myself
Leaning Bengals, Ravens, Vikings
Agreed, only disagreement may be Vikings but the Packers held Adrian Peterson to a matchup low of 199 yards last time they played so at least they improved. But Aaron is still a top 3 QB so that is the game I am the least sure about. |

Leaning Bengals, Ravens, Vikings
Bengal, Ravens, and Packers. I am hoping that the Packers win, as I much rather play against Atlanta (after getting the W against the Seahawks of course) than San Francisco. |

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Bengals - Houston is a shell of who they were, and I don't get why
Colts - Ravens are a shell of who they were, but we do know why. Their defense won't stop the Colts, and Flacco will end up doing something bad, take a sack at the wrong time or throw a pick. Packers - AP wanted that record, and played lights out, Ponder was good Ponder last game. Packers are ticked they are playing this week, and will light up the Vikings in an uncompetitive game. |
I'm going with Houston over Cincinnati
Ravens over colts in a Blowout. Skins beat Seattle by 7 GB wins at home by 10 |
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
My lock of the week is Bengals covering against the Houston
|
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Houston wins by 13, they're pissed everyone is jumping off their bandwagon.
Ravens win by 11, make Luck look like a rookie with pressure left and right, and are fired up for Ray. Green Bay makes Minnesota pass with Samantha Ponder at QB, after 3 picks 1 for a TD and AP only getting 80 yards rushing, Green Bay wins by 17. |

The question is, will they wake up? I think they will, at least for one week. |

So you are thinking all the Home teams win? On paper that would seem to be the case, but it never happens that way. I see at least one visitor winning this weekend and I hope its not the Redskin's visitor. I am going to take the Colts as the visitor that wins this weekend. All the other Home teams win. The Ravens just don't impress me and I would be really surprised no matter how the AFC Wildcard games turn out if we don't see a Patriots @ Broncos AFC Championship game. The NFC is more up in the air I think. |

Defense wasn't the same without Cushing and having a banged up Johnathan Joseph. |

Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Speaking of which, anyone know how LeRibeus rated out last game?
|
Re: Around the NFL-Wild Card Weekend
Don't know how LeRibeus graded out; I thought he did good; was knocked around a little but held his own and made a couple of nice blocks; offense didn't skip a beat with Kory out and him in so thats a plus.

DeAngelo Hall joined 106.7 the Fan in Washington D.C. with LaVar and Dukes to talk about how the team turned things around after a 3-6 start to the season, how much better it is for the Redskins to play on Sunday as opposed to Saturday, whether he did anything special to get in the head of Dez Bryant the other night, if he thinks Washington can go on a Giants-like run this season and whether they feel like they have an advantage when it comes to playing Russell Wilson and the Seahawks because they get to practice against Robert Griffin III. |

"It’s tough for me to say this because we play in the same division as them, but I think Washington is having a good year," the Giants receiver said on WFAN Radio yesterday. "They’re having a year similar to us last year where they’re kicking up at the right time. They’re playing some good football. Typically the team that is playing the best towards the end of the year is the team that is going to potentially win it all." |

His description of playing Bryant was by far the first time where he sounded respectful, not mouthy. And watching the game again last night, it just seemed like he was intent on playing his position, not being the limelight guy. I could even take it all the way back to the one interception where he didn't take it in for the TD(right/wrong choice - it was not the glory hog of old). If he can keep his attitude and tone focused, then he may be worth keeping around. |

I've always said, give Hall a good team and something to be excited about and his talent will emerge. As far as his maturity, he has no choice but to mature if he wants to be a Redskin next season. |
