Redskins 31 Seahawks 20 |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Haven't done much predicting this year so I'm gonna stick with that. I just hope we don't let our fans don't at home. I'm much less nervous about this game than the Cowboys game. I heard for upper deck, ticket prices were on average $200, Lower deck, $250 and parking was around $75.
Man if I was dropping $300 for a ticket, they damn sure better win. |

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
This is gonna be another close game that will come down to who makes more mistakes. F-em. 40-31, WASHINGTON M-FKING REDSKINS!
|
I feel like the Skins are going to show the league that they are the real deal today. Not many people are giving the Skins a chance, and I think that's ridiculous, Griffin is going to be on his game, and MS will have this team in the right mindset to win. I feel pretty good about this game, although I am sure it will. be nerve racking like most of our games

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Hey guys,
The special teams of SEA scares me. Remember how we got our punts blocked early in the year (either 2 or 3 times)??? I'm so die hard B+G at this point, that it is hard for me to be objective about my prediction, so I will leave it like this: Let's go Skins and if we lose I won't be upset because we had an amazing year and our team is full of hope for the future!! HTTR |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Skins needs ..... OL to move hawks front 7 , ( 2 ) WR's catch the ball , (3) , DB's no blown coverages and we win a dog fight 23 - 16 . Oh , and a VERY LOUD CROWD !!!!!

1) I think the Seahawks are the best team in football. 2) I do not think the Redskins season will end today. |

We'll show them a home field advantage. |

Redskins 31 Seahawks 20[/quote] Exact score I had. Griffin throws for 275 and 2TDs Morris goes for 125 and a TD Crawford pick 6 to open game. We hold Lynch to 58 yards on 22 carries Hello Atlanta. |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Marshawn Lynch eats worms!
|
Skins win a tough hard faught game. 27-20
Griffin 2 td passes Morris 1 td run Wilson 1 td pass 1 int Lynch only 88 rush yards on 19 carries |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
I wonder how Griffin is taking the media stuff this week. I know, that in a perfect world he would set it aside and come out and play for the sake of playing the game. That said, it's got to hit him in the face that there are 3 rookie qb's playing today, and he is given the least chance out of all 3 to lead their team to a win. I just can't wait for this game!

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Redskins 26. Seattle 24
Forbath is 4 for 4 on FGs including a 47 yarder to win in the last two minutes, atoning for his miss last week AND earning him rookie of the week honors - yet the latest Redskin to do so. (I think he's still a rookie, technically). RGIII goes 17 of 26 for 208 yards and 1 td. Morris rushes for 95 hard earned yards. Cofield falls on a ball in the end zone for the other td after Kerrigan knocks it out of Wilson'a hand at the 5 yard line. Crawford has a pick, and Cedric Griffin has a game saving tackle on a screen to Rice, keeping him in bounds and killing the clock at the end. Carroll in typically classless fashion snubs Shanahan at the end of the game, and their loud mouthed CBs go on record complaining that the Redskins were "lucky" and at the better team didn't win. Thousands of Redskins fans retort "Scoreboard, mother f*ers." Bring it. |

Well he needs to come out and play better then he did last week because I don't think the Seahawks will give him too many second chances like Homo did last week. |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Some stats I put together.
Points allow by Seattle Defense at home and away, [Points scored by Seattle Offense at home and away], { Rushing Yards by Skittles Beast Mode} At home: 7 - Dallas -------[27]-----{122} 14 - GB ---------[24]------{98} 23 - NE ---------[24]------{41} 20 - Minnesota -[30]-----{124} 7 - NYJ ---------[28]------{124} 0 - Arizona -----[58]-----{128} 13- San Fran ---[42]-----{111} 13 - St. Louis --[20]-----{100} Away: 20 - Arizona (Loss) ----[16]-----{85} 19 - St. Louis (Loss) --[13]-----{118} 12- Carolina -----------[16]-----{85} 13 - San Fran (Loss) --[6]------{103} 28 Detroit (Loss) ------[24]-----{105} 24 - Miami (Loss) -----[21]-----{46} 17 - Chicago (OT Win) [23]-----{87} 17 - Buffalo ------------[50]----{113} 18.8 Points per game allowed away 12.1 Points per game allowed at home 21.1 Points per game scored away 31.6 Points per game scored at home 92.8 Rushing yards per game by Skittles Beast Mode away 106 Rushing yards per game by Skittles Beast Mode home Data Analysis Summary: 1) Seahawks allow approx. 7 points more per game on the road than at home. 2) Seahawks score approx. 10.5 less points on the road than at home. 3) Skittles Beast Mode has approx. 13 less rushing yards per game on the road than at home. 4) Seahawks points scored both home and away have trended up toward the end of the season. 5) Seahawks did not lose at home. All losses came on the road. 6) Redskins need to score in the mid 20's to have a good chance to beat the Seahawks. Game prediction: Redskins 24-Seahawks 17 |

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
- Seahawks special teams maybe the best ST's we've faced all year; Leon's going to the Pro Bowl.
- Seahawks secondary is the best in the league > I expect a lot of fights/flags today with our fiesty and physical WR's against their huge physical CBs > The negative to having a huge secondary which loves to press is the slot WRs get free easily (Welker, Bess, Titus Young all had HUGE days receiving when they beat the Seahawks). I expect Moss to have a big game. - Seattle has a rookie MLB named Bobby Wagner you should keep an eye on. He is in the discussion for DROY, and coming out of Utah St he was compared to none other than London Fletcher. -Chris Clemons (remember him?!) is a very good pass rusher. Bruce Irvin is a speed rusher with 4.5 speed. I expect them to be used to contain Robert in the pocket. >Their weakness however is that the can be ran over easily (just do some Morris off tackle runs) -Seattle has a pro bowl Center and a pro bowl LT. The LT Okung, gets injured often. I expect a lot of blitzes up the middle again, along with blitzes up the right side of the line, and rush containment with Kerrigan and Rob Jackson. I expect to see our fastest MLB (Riley) to spy Wilson. -Pete Carroll runs a 4-3 defense; but really its a hybrid 4-3, meaning lots of 3-4 alignments. Chris Clemons is really a DE/OLB. I expect Red Bryant to have a good game on the rookie LeRibeus. - Michael Robinson is a pro bowl caliber FB for Seattle, a converted college QB, so he can run, get open, and may do a surprise throw. >I expect a trick play today from Pete Carroll seeing that he will do fake punts no matter what the score is (see Buffalo game). -The key to beating Marshawn Lynch is tackling, but more specifically from our secondary. DHall and Wilson need to get physical and wrap up (none of that Gronkowski tackling DHall). -Teams have had lots of success running on Seattle with jumbo formations(3 TE sets), since their defense is on the small side in the front 7. -Josh Morgan, an Ex-49er has only played against Browner and Sherman once getting 2 catches for 28 yards on them. The last time Garcon played Seattle, they only had 1 starter that will be playing todays game on their defense (Brandon Mebane DT). Last time Moss played Sherman and Browner he had 4 catches for 29 yards, but Anthony Armstrong our speedster had a 50 yard TD catch. So in summary, Seattle hasn't played our WR core yet. -Doug Baldwin is Seattles Aldrick Robinson. You hear about him occasionally, and when you do you hear about him making big time catches. He's more dangerous than Rice and Tate IMO. - I would use a lot of Niles Paul today whether its lining him out wide or putting him on the line, he's fast and physical much like Seattles Secondary. -Kam Chancellor does the old LaRon Landry, bite on the pump fake pretty hard. I'd do an out and up or hitch and go on him. RG3 needs to look off Earl Thomas because he can cover and close fast than most FS's in the NFL. -Anthony McCoy their TE has come on of late. Put Cedric on him. |
22 picks for Seattle & 6 for Washington. Prove all of those 22 wrong today!

3-2 for the Seahawks on NFLN. I feel confident that we win today! |
It's pretty much 50-50 and it should be. Both teams are hot and both are very good
|
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Skins fact
The Skins have never played in a postseason game that went into overtime. |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
I bet Seattle saw that Griffin wasn't his usual self passing the ball against Dallas, and loads up against the run. If Griffin is back anywhere near his par, we win.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the game. Flip a coin. I will add that Seattle's defense probably has the edge if you compare them to ours (more so over the course of the season than of late). However, I think being on the road, and the fact that they haven't really played against an offense quite like this, cancels out that edge. It'll probably be closer than I'd like...and my only prediction is that I would not be surprised if we were playing another game next week.... |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Every game Seattle has played has been close. The same with the Redskins except against the Panthers and Steelers. I think this will be a exciting, close game. A Kai Forbath FG could win it for the Redskins.

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
Inactives: Banks, Briscoe, Compton, Gettis, Grossman, Muckelroy, So'oto

Huh? 27-7 over Dallas 28-7 over NYJ 58-0 over Arizona 50-17 over Buffalo 42-13 over San Fran Every one except those games I guess. |

Re: Skins hawks game day thread
I'm excitited yet nervous for this game...I think we can win especially since we are at home but it is gonna be a close game and I very well think it could come down to OT and a field goal to win it...like other have said RGIII has got to be on today can't have a performance throwing the ball like last week and win a playoff game, Morris needs to continue to do what he does, and ALL of our WRs and DBs gotta step up
It's winnable but it is gonna be a close nerve racking game and I probably won't enjoy it until its over |
Re: Skins hawks game day thread
4:30 is taking forever to get here. i just hope we don't go down like 21-0 in the first 10 minutes... that'd be a lot of waiting for an empty feeling.
