Heads up folks, it was still a good season. Proud of this team and the way they fought down the stretch.

This Game left a foul taste in my mouth......very sad that the coach didn't have the balls to make a change....
Ruined a beautiful season......:(

Seven wins in a row was awesome! Now we have a core to build around and we should be good for years to come. It was a very good year, indeed!

Shanahan is gonna hear it after this one. I don't think we win without RG3, but they should have pulled him no later then halftime.

Helluva season. That being said, the last team I want to win the Super Bowl is the Seahawks. What a bunch of ****ing assholes.

DONT PUT THE FRANCHISE AT RISK LISTEN TO THE DOCTOR

Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread

Very few people predicted the success we had this season. I think we are well on our way with a good draft class and free agency period this offseason to help our secondary.

We would have most definitely won that game had Bobby been at full strength and we could have utilized our pistol formation and read-option offense properly, since that's what got us the #1 rushing offense in the league and a division championship.

To all of you who $#!& on Shanny for not pulling RGIII and putting Cousins in, Cousins didn't exactly light it up. You play your best players, Griffin was holding his own until Montgomery forgot how to snap the ball.

Looking forward to a great season next year. HTTR!!!

Must be tough to be you.

This season we found a franchise QB, a franchise RB, an offensive line, a defense with heart, and an OC that's probably a genius. And oh yeah, we're NFL East Champions until somebody beats us.

If you had us winning the Superbowl this season you can be disappointed. But "ruined a beautiful season"? No. Not even close

Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread

The past 7 weeks and the 1st quarter of this game have been awesome. Lets get RGIII healthy and I think now he will understand that getting the extra yard isn't more important than taking hits. Great season, our team has changed its mindset into that of a winning franchise. Now that all the wild card games are over, where will we be picking in the draft?

Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread

To go from 3-6 to 10-6 NFC East Champs and to be in the playoffs was incredible. The loss today hurt, but for the team it is a learning experience one they will grow from and will be motivated by. There is a lot of young talent that just got its first taste of what the playoffs are all about and the intensity involved. HTTR

Gtothearry 01-06-2013 07:51 PM

How can people say we don't win without RGIII? It's 14-13 and he doesn't complete a pass after. We lost 24-14 with a 1 legged QB.

If we move the ball a little we win. It's just a terrible coaching decision. I think we win that game if he was pullled @ the half.

redskins5044 01-06-2013 07:52 PM

GD, I can't take this whining anymore. Shanny should have pulled him last game too, he was ineffective last week. We won because of Morris and Defense last week and this week we just face a better all around team and RG3 could hide his injury as good as the previous weeks.

punch it in 01-06-2013 07:52 PM

I think we would have had a great chance to win with Cousins. We were up one at the point and our offense with Griff was doing nothing. For whatever reason he didnt get in the game. Questionable to say the least. Oh well.
We won the division with a very young team, and i hope RG-3 is 100 % next year. Httr.

Great season . Most of our offense has under 50 NFL starts . We should have a healthy RG111 , Davis and Helu . Carriker , Orakpo , Jackson & Merriweather ( Minnifield ) . With a strong draft we could be in the hunt for the next few years .

Cousins came in down by ten with little time left. Might have been a different story up by one and not needing to do as much. Would you agree?

In his rookie season, rg3 left 3 games due to injury and missed another entirely. Which gives me 2 thoughts:

1) maybe we shouldn't have drafted such an injury prone quarterback
2) cousins isn't going anywhere

I really thought that Cousins would come in on the series where RG3 left the game. If he had, RG3 wouldn't have gotten hurt and there more than likely would not have been a turnover fumble to give Seattle first and goal. I understand Mike Shanahan going with the options that give the Redskins the best chance to win, but he should have taken RG3 out of the goddamn game.
I have to question Mike Shanahan's collective wisdom in allowing Griffin III to continue to play.

Didn't know that having one injury in college is considered to be injury prone.

Its not whining man. Its common sense. When your stud qb is at MAYBE 50 percent you put in your other rookie qb who has come up huge when called on previously. Nobody is saying fire shanny or anything crazy but its ok to say wtf?

With RGIII healthy skins win, great season. Shanahan runs the team and he should have pulled RGIII in the 2nd Quarter, he did the same thing as the Baltimore game. What pisses me off is the report before the game and he shit on that. I hope RGIII is not hurt seriously.

Whatever fine he might get, the Skins should refund it with a bonus in his next contract.
