Dream Seat Experience
Had Dream Seats behind the Redskins bench on about the 40 yard line to todays game. Got the tickets from a guy on Craigslist and got got a pretty good deal on the tix below face value ($285 per ticket). I will say this, the view is great right there behind the players but you miss some action and it's hard to tell how many yard folks are picking up sometimes because of the depth perception.
I will also say that i don't think these "Dream" Seats(at least where i was) is worth the premium. You could probably get a better view of the action a little higher up in the 100's section and pay considerably less. The included "food" is free hot dogs, soda, peanuts and cookies. Really? I could have found better hot dogs at 7 Eleven. How about including real food? (barbeque/meals etc.?). Also, I'm sure they will never do unlimited included free alcohol due to potential drunks, but how about giving everyone in the dream seats a voucher for a free beer per half or something like that? To me, the premium and what you get is not justifiable for the cost. Snyder could do much better. |
Wow, that's a good deal though for 285 bucks!

Re: Dream Seat Experience
I guess there's no pleasing some people. I'd cut off my arm just for regular tickets to a game.
|
Why am I not surprised?

Re: Dream Seat Experience
285 bucks for dream seats and you're complaining? Lol. There were 400 level seats going for that much when I checked earlier this week, maybe you should've bought those instead.

Section 428. My old seats - going for 400 a pop against Dallas. I love it up there. Great view of the action. |
Re: Dream Seat Experience
I'm starting to think you should be given a voucher on starting threads milellie111. Nothing personal but.....really?

Re: Dream Seat Experience
I apologize to Alfred Morris for the dream seats.

Re: Dream Seat Experience
OMFG I cant ****ing believe someone is complaining about Dream Seats to a playoff game. and then blames Snyder...just wow

Re: Dream Seat Experience
I hate to say it, but I kinda think this is delusional fiction. If any dream seat ticket for the first redskins home game in 13 years sold below face value, well let's just say I'll believe it when pigs fly.

Re: Dream Seat Experience
I think many of you misunderstood me. I am not complaining about the dream seats themselves, neither am i complaining about the price i got them for. I understand that $285 per ticket was an excellent deal. I did say this though "i don't think these "Dream" Seats are worth the premium." For the so called included "amenities", i'm just saying that it isn't worth hundreds more what i should have paid and not worth hundreds more than seats right behind it in the lower section 100's.

RIGHT! - i didn't get to go at all this year due to re-location and increased need for $$ .. i usually go to 2 games a season ugh... and i normally sit in the 400's and am just fine with that... i wouldn't, and couldn't, pay 285 for behind the bench because of the issues mentioned, depth perception limited view at some points... good to know though if the situation ever arose i wouldnt sit here. |
Re: Dream Seat Experience
the only reason i got to sit there for the chiefs game was because my dad was given tickets. as a plumber, he volunteered his time for "heat's on - water's off". i'm not sure exactly where the tickets came from, but he was thrilled to accept them.
we were able to kick it w the chief in the parking lot before the game, the seats were amazing, you can see everything just fine. i also sat 2nd row behind the redskins bench closer to the 45, those tickets were gifts as well. that was vs the saints in 2003. |

That you complained about anything is what's wrong with this thread |
Re: Dream Seat Experience
I had a chance to sit in the Dream Seats for the Sep 11 home opener last year when we beat the Giants and loved EVERY second of it. I was in the endzone, left side. The action when someone is about to score is so amazing, but it has hard to follow action at opposite end zone as you'd expect. You also get a few additional perks like club access (including the much much shorter line to get in stadium) which is a really nice benefit over cheap seats. I actually think they are priced about right -- they aren't the best seats in the stadium but the whole experience is pretty darn cool.
Of course there was one MAJOR disappointment: Kerrigan's pick 6 happened on the right side of the endzone, not where I was :( :( :( |
Re: Dream Seat Experience
I could only dream of those seats.
|
Re: Dream Seat Experience
Again, i was never complaining about the actual experience. Worth the $285 per ticket i paid? Sure. Worth over $700-$1,000 per seat? Probably not.
Here's some shots I took with my phone. milellie, I can't believe that you had to eat hot dogs instead of barbeque...it is hard to imagine the barbarousness of your experience. How can Snyder and the Fedex people sleep at night after committing such crimes against humanity?!

Re: Dream Seat Experience
Not knowing what a 7-11 hot dog tastes like makes me feel somewhat pedestrian.
Oh and by the way, the best place to get a hot dog is from the sidewalk vendors at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. Fact! |

Just think how awesome this thread could have been had you led off with the pic's and the description of being by the field, maybe at the end throwing out a line like "the only bad part was ... " (no Pam Oliver jokes with that line please) But instead, you went hogwild complaining, after getting the tickets at an apparent steal of a price. Remember: in otherwords what I am trying to say is: |

Seems like he's mistaking dream seats amenities with box seats amenities.
You want luxury, you pay for the boxes. |

So what's it about, that you didn't get a free beer? Seems like you had an awesome view and the tickets were a steal for the price. |
