NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
Here is a good article on what to make (or not make) of Griffin's travel to New Orleans for the award show tonight.
Need to Know: Don't read too much into RG3 in New Orleans - Rich Tandler's Real Redskins Who do you think will get: MVP(OPOY) DPOY OROY DROY Comeback Player of the year Coach of the year I agree with this article,NFL Honors Award Show 2013: Preview, TV Info, Predictions and More | Bleacher Report, on all their predictions and approve of their rationale for Griffin getting OROY. Also, will you be watching the award show or just read the results later? There should be no mention of carrots (other than this one) in this thread!!! |
re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I'm probably not going to watch the show, I'd rather just read the results afterward. There are better things to do on Saturday night than watch an NFL awards show.

re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
MVP- Peyton Manning
DPOY- JJ Watt DROY- Luke Keuchly OROY- Russell Wilson Comeback player - Adrian Peterson Coach of the year- Pete Carroll Still debating putting Luck as OROY instead of Wilson. |
re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I seriously hope Carroll does not get coach of the year. I would think Arians has to be in the running for that, right?
|
MVP - AD
ROY - GRIFFIN DROY - KEAKLY OR HOWEVER U SPELL IT DPOY - WATT COMEBACK player - Manning COY - ARIANS |

Arians should get COY, the Seahawks were already a good team, the colts came out of no where with a bunch of no name players |

I just can't see Luck getting it. I think early on, when Griffin was shining but we were losing, Luck got a lot of attention for his winning, and comebacks, but as the Seahawks and Skins both started winning, more attention was put on Luck's mistakes, and out of all the stats and records put up by these 3 rookie qbs, I think total yards is the least impressive stat. Wilson had as many TD's as PManning did his rookie year, with I think less than half the turnovers, that is amazing. Griffin only had 5 ints all year. Grossman threw that in one game!!! Cousins, who we all like, had 3. Griffin and Wilson were 3 and 4 in the league in passer rating. and on and on and on... So with all that said, personally, and with full awareness of my bias, I want Griffin to get it, but I would absolutely agree with it if Wilson got it. |

Well said. |
re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I still think RG3 wins ROY. I know some say don't read into him being there, but I have to think given his situation someone would have tipped him off to stay in Florida if he wasn't going to win it.

Well of course the critical question is --What if he trips walking up the stairs, Should Shanahan have let him go? |

re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
MVP - Adrian Peterson
Defensive Player of the Year - JJ Watt Offensive Rookie - RG3 or Wilson Defensive Rookie - Kuechly Comeback - Manning Coach - Arians GM - Schneider |
re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
Gang, MVP and Offensive Player of the Year are two different awards.
MVP Peyton Manning Offensive Player of the Year Adrian Peterson Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III Defensive Rookie of the Year Luke Keuchly Comeback Player of the Year Adrian Peterson (close call with Peyton but the speed of the recovery tips the scales) Coach of the Year John Harbaugh |

RG3: "My goal is Week 1. That’s all I’m really worried about.”

RG3: “I think you will see a different version of me. ...you wont see the same Robert Griffin. You’ll see a better Robert Griffin.”

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I have heard nothing about R Griffen . Does anyone have news on RG111 , or even , Orakpo , Carriker , F Davis , Merriweather or C. Minnifield ?

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
Jesus, Seahawks fans are the biggest cry babies. The Colts fans are handling this much better and more respectfully.

Re: NFL Awards Show (RGIII is offensive ROY)
I'm hearing he's moving around quite well. And yes, without crutches.

See this is wrong,I understand it ,a player wanting to play ,fans know his potential and wanting him to play but you have a very good back up ,hell a starter anywhere else.Even if RGII can run and cut it will still be a year to get back to the norm.Sit him for next year ,it's the right thing to do for the team in the long run. |
