2013 Redskins Schedule
 

Tonight at 8 p.m. the schedule is being released but Adam Carriker has spilled the beans that we're opening Week 1 on Monday Night Football vs. the Eagles!

I noticed that Carriker's page "doesn't exist" any more.

He'll probably get a 4-game suspension for this shenanigan.

Thats a loss. Us playing Philly game 1. First team to see their new offense; not good. I know they have a new defense, but we may or may not have RG3.

First time they're using their new offense too. If they're anything like us last year, they won't show much in the preseason.

We can take them with Cousins. Our D will be much better than last season, at least until the injuries pile up like they always do for us.

No way we lose an opener to Philly. They don't have an RG3, heck they don't even have a Captain Kirk, and you won't convince me a novice NFL coach is going to have his team ready versus a MS coached team.


Now of course if they draft Geno, and we have to play a rookie qb, all bets are off. [/sarcasm]

Well, this tells me the NFL believes RG3 will be ready opening day. And no this wont be a loss, they havent played a game under Chip Kelly or even had a practice and they are already a formidable offense? Umm ok.

At home, opening weekend after an improbably playoff run, in front of thousands of the best fans in the country, against a team with a rookie coach, questionable offense and defense, and we are already calling this a loss?

I couldn't find anything on it, so take it with a grain of salt...

I think it's great that we open with Philly. It'll be great to be 1-0 in the division going into week 2. Take the lead and never look back.

I'm not holding it against u, our past(before Griffin) years would make anyone think a L. But.... This is a new team now and a winning culture has been set in place with Griffin. Get used to winning my friend.

Some of you are also forgetting that along with the new offensive system, Philly is also getting a new defensive scheme this season. They're converting from a 4-3 to a 3-4 most likely.

It takes a couple of years for ANY team, not just us, to make that switch. Their defense was a mess last season, so they have very little talent carrying over as it is.


They might be a mess on BOTH sides of the ball, at least for the fist half of the season until they figure out what that "innovative" college coach is doing.

They have a child coach and dont really know who/what their QB is.

I think our offense will be sick next year. A juggernaut. I don't see Philly keeping up, especially not in their first game.
