Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Very interested to see what Balt. looks like. I'm still in shock they won it all last year after how poorly they played to end the season and how distinctly uninspiring Flacco is as a QB.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Also even if we weren't playing Philly I'd be really interested in them. They're a great unknown.
|
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
I still believe it's about 4 or 5 games before you can tell how a team jells and plays together .

Looks like ESPN is riding the Seattle bandwagon.
I don't get it. They're being really over-hyped. Wilson is going to have a down year, I predict. Their WRs are not impressive and if they lose Lynch, their offense takes a huge step backwards. I hope their whole secondary gets nailed for PEDs. At least Dick Sherman. 16? How?
They need to start drug testing the media! |

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
I hope that every ranking has SF, Seattle, and Atlanta at the top and us at #32.

So who will win the Fax Bowl on Thursday?

I agree, flying under the radar and kicking ass while other teams get the glory. See you all in NY on Feb. 2nd for the Danny mooning Mara at the SB. |
A football life - Ladainian Tomlinson was fantastic, he was always one of my favorite players. Guy was a monster

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Pretty curious to see how the Saints look in week 1. I have a feeling that offense is going to take it to whole new level. Sean Peyton has been scheming for a whole year and the weapons there are ridiculous. Defense is still highly suspect, though an average D is probably enough to make the saints contenders.

That was a phenomenal piece on LT last night. |
Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Some of the allegations seem like there should have been charges brought against a bunch of people if some of this stuff is true.

Their defense is just terrible though. They're constantly going to have to score 30 + a game. Rob Ryan has his hands full. |

I used to pull for the Saints mainly b/c of Brees. Now they have a Ryan in their midst ... blech. I hope the average score against them is 35 - just so I can listen to Ryan tell us how brilliant his schemes were. |

Some good stuff on his AMA so far. doggiedolphie: Hi Ross, since you played for both... Redskins or Cowboys? RossTucker:Skins for sure. I wasn't with the Boys that long and didn't have a lot in common with those guys when I was there. A lot of them would go right to the strip club after practice and that wasn't my thing. It was cool to start for the Boys and wear that star on the side of my helmet but I started and finished my career with Washington so I'll go Skins sighronic: Browns or..... Broadcasting... RossTucker:Nice! Broadcasting. The Browns screwed me two years in a row. Broadcasting is pretty awesome. :laughing2 |

I couldn't think of a better thread to put this in and it's not thread worthy on its own..
Anyone wondering what Clinton Portis is up to these days? Wonder no more...except what the hell the producers were thinking.. Y! SPORTS |

I used to work with Clinton's co-host and trust me, he was cringing as well.. That was painful. All it was missing was a canned rim-shot sound effect to push the cheese factor to the limit. |

Calton Banks hasn't been the same since he left the Fresh Prince show...just can't find a role that great any more.

Maybe 40 + lol. I think NO could be the most imbalanced team in league history i.e. record breaking offense and record breaking defense (again) but the defense for sucking donkey balls. |

Saints fans are overly excited about having Sean Payton back; it's like they think they're automatically NFC South champions again. In my opinion, Atlanta is still much better. New Orleans' defense is just too bad, and their running game is nothing to write home about. I think the opener between NO and Atlanta is a shootout, with Atlanta winning 48-41, or something like that. It'll be an exciting game. |

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Richard Sherman wasn't lying when he said he's better at life than Skip Bayless. Not only is he better at life, he's better at being a journalist too. Amazing article by Richard Sherman.

I agree with that. The fan/non-fan is a idiot if he doesn't think being in the NFL is work. That said, Roddy knows better. I'm sure he's heard a lot worse on the road and during games. |
