The good ol days!

I vaguely remember the Last game that Gibbs coached during his first tenure, and the irony is that it was a wild card playoff game against the Vikings. A game in which Brian Mitchell rushed for over 200 yards. This past season we beat the Vikings again in the last game of the season under Gibbs. AAHH, the power of cold frosty, adult beverages! Does anyone else remember this?

wait, wasnt the final game of the 92 season a wild card game against the 49ers?
i remember mitchell having alot of yards but also a few fumbles.

what i remember is the sports illustraded for the following week, it had a picture of darrell green laying out to get an interception.

Re: The good ol days!

What if Gibbs's second tenure mirrors his first and over the next decade the skins have 9 SB appearances with 6 SB wins?

We all know that it happened, but please do not bash Daryll Green on this thread. His is still one of the greatest to ever play the position.

shouldn't be surprised though... timmy smith... hmm... didnt he totally bust after having a record 214yds in the super bowl for gibbs?

Re: The good ol days!

i cant find the stats, but off the top of my head i think he ran for around 180 yards with 30+ carries.

but like i said, he fumbled a few times.
he had an amazing day. i remember reading that the field was in the worst condition gibbs'sesss''eesssss has ever seen.

I found Mitchells stats for that game
1992 min W,24-7 | 16 109 1 | 3 16 0
109 yds rushing,16 recieving,by far is biggest postseason rushing game, this is not to cut him down,we just didnt use him that much as a rusher, his best season as a skin was 94,311 yds rushing
