Re: Around the NFL Week 9
Eagles have a really concerning QB carousel going on. But Vick IS injured... I don't think they're giving up on Vick yet though. Wish he'd stay out until after our game against them.

Michael Huff, wouldn't mind bring in on the cheap. |

Actually, I hope he plays and re-establishes himself as Mr. Turnover. |

He's been heavily criticized but Im glad this guy was able to realize his own demons and get help. I would invite this guy with open arms to the team with a reasonable contract. ILB is a need. |

Soon to be a guy "Around the League"...Fred Davis sleeps in meetings.

Great deep threat on Madden though. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
mike wallace is a terrible fit for miami, and everyone said that at the time. it's like taking aldrick robinson and asking him to play garcon's role... obviously wallace is better in the talent dept, but that's the general idea.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9
Geno Atkins of the Bengals tore his ACL in last nights game. Thats going to be a huge loss for the Bengals. He was turning into one of the best DL in the league. He wasnt even rolled onto. Just planted his foot while an OL was pushing against him and he went down.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
there are a lot of times where acl injuries look like turf gremlins. dude just collapses -> ACL. like when jansen just stopped in the open field and fell down.
|

I think I recall Pierson Prioleau on opening kickoff of 1st game of a season his knee gave way on our turf. Sucks for Atkins and the bengals Defense losing teir CB too. Sucks for the fans who want to see January football. |

Cincy blown 2 double digits leads of late, they got more problems than just losing Atkins. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
I don't think Dalton is a franchise QB
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
Finally a good NFLN game, although I ran out of gas and missed the ending.

Decent player, but I dont want this guy on my squad. Sorry
This league is so soft nowadays. What is he going to develop an eating disorder? Still, probably would be an upgrade over Tyler. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
I don't think Dalton is a franchise QB
Dalton is a good QB, but I agree that he isnt a franchise QB. He has most of the tools necessary except the strong arm. I think Green makes him better than he is since he has won quite a few jump balls for him, but he cant throw deep that well and he doesnt throw the out patterns well. Easy to jump those from him due to arm strength. He makes good reads and good decisions, but I think he will end up like Hasselbeck, an above average QB but not a great one. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 9
The thing I like about Dalton is he's not afraid to keep slinging it even when he's having an off game. That 3rd INT wasn't on him but the pick 6 was definitely bad ball placement.

Yeah Hasselbeck is a good comparison. Gutsy and heady guy, but doesn't necessarily have the greatest physical tools. |

Please don't tell me you don't want him on the team, just because he couldn't take the bullying? I think this says lot about Miami team, no one tried to stand up for him and stop the bullying? Come on, it's just as if they all are teenagers  |

A lot of you that say Dalton isn't a franchise QB have to high expectations. Hes been really good for the Bengals outside a few games.

I don't get the comments downplaying his arm-strength in particular, he seems to be able to make all the throws and have no problem gunning for the deep receiver. |
