Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Everyone's been so caught up with Cousins starting, there was no pre-game thread. But I mean, we're going lose, so whatever. This franchise is balls.
Jordan Reed didn't practice today either, might as well throw him on the inactive list with RG3, with his 3 week concussed ass. Falcons - 100000 Skins - -2 |

Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Lmao this thread will be pure comedy, then the game day thread next. Post game thread will get ugly though.

Serious? Every year, after the skins are out of the hunt, I root for the saints to win it all. |

There are no off-field distractions and team morale is high.
Skins 285 Falcons 1 |

The only team I have 2 allegiances to are the Orioles and the Nats. Grew up an O's fans then I had to be a Nats fan cuz they're the home team. Otherwise I've always been a one teamer. |

I hear you. I'll be moving out to Kansas City mid-2014 and my girlfriend was like, 'Great! We can both become Chiefs fans.' We had to have a curt conversation about how being a fan of a team actually worked lol. |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
I have 2 favorite teams, The Skins and whoever is facing the Cowturds.

U ever been to KC? Big town pretty nice, and many people dont realize it actually is split in 2 states lol |

The two things aren't mutually exclusive. Always like New Orleans and watching the Saints rally after Katrina was pretty awesome. And G Williams winning a bs with them was pretty cool. All those things. I wish the Skins offense was modeled after the Saints. |

Yeah man, I've been there a few times. My girlfriend is in her first year of medical school there, so I went there a couple times helping her make a decision as to which school she'd settle on, and a few times after that (was there for Thanksgiving week most recently). It is cool though, her townhouse is close to arrowhead, so I already plan to purchase tickets in four years when the skins play there lol. What's also neat is she's got a few chiefs players close by--J. Houston literally lives across the street. |

That's pretty cool, it's what I like about it here in OKC, guys like Kevin Durant can come out in public and not have to worry about getting mobbed by fans or paparazzi etc. |

Lol. I think RG will come out balling next year. Hopefully he's paired with an offensive guru on the sideline. I'm far from losing hope here. |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Stupid optimism...
Cousins leads Skins to a 13-12 loss. Kai is a perfect 4-4 on FGs...then has the game-winner BLOCKED because the snap sucked. I never pick the Skins to lose but we're in Swinging Gate territory now, again. |

I've been to the stadium before for a game. Nice fans, very down to earth. I'm hoping they're able to make the playoffs and do well. I'm not the biggest Cam Newton fan, but he's playing pretty well this year. |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Cousins goes down in the 4th with a busted pinky after Chester trips into him. With the score tied at 13, Rex Grossman comes in and promptly throws 3 TD passes. The next day Kyle resigns, Cousins and Griff are both cut and Rex is named OC/QB and Sexiest Man Alive

Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Rex Grossman sideline shots make me happy. Just a periodic reminder that Rex is still on this team.

Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Kirt goes down in the 1st qtr, then sexy Rex pulls a hammy throwing a pass and our third string QB wins the game on a last minute drive. Anyone know who will be our 3rd string QB?
Do we know if RGIII will make the trip and be on the sidelines? |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Rex looked like he was a cool dude to hang out with back in the day. Well I mean the guy's name is Rex, doesn't get much cooler than that.
|
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
Rex is good for one great game...er...half. I could see him tearing it up if Cousins goes down, and then we're all like...Rex stays at as backup!

If he's inactive too I say just put Helu and Morris both in the backfield and direct snap to one of them. That would be fun to watch. These are the times we'll miss Lorenzo Alexander. |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
I can't believe that we are going to attempt to play a game this week despite all of the off-field drama. Talk about a flat team. Even more, I can't believe that we will do so with RGIII inactive for no good reason.
WTF Shanahans. |
Re: Skins vs. Falcons Pre-game Thread
The emergency QB has been Darrel Young the past two seasons, but with him out I don't know.
Shanahan had to make RG3 inactive, otherwise it would be too obvious it wasn't just for health reasons he was being benched |
