I hope they can pick-up a veteran FS who doesn't make it through the last round of cuts. There will several good players that get cut because of contracts etc., and the Redskins are 2nd in line to get them.

I can't understand why we would have signed a guy like that. It seems to me his whole entire adult life has been marred with issues and problems. Repeated drug arrests, etc..

Why does anyone in the NFL sign these players when they are coming into the NFL and already have all these issues??

Strange thing is I've known my share of folks who smoke pot but I never known someone this stupid. Is this pot or something more addictive like h or meth?

He's never even played a regular season game for us! Was anyone really counting on Jackson? Whatever he's doing it must be very hard for him to stop. My guess is it's cocaine. He needs to call Darryl Strawberry. If he can stop doing drugs then anyone can.

I feel badly for Tanard... Obviously he's got an addiction problem. Sad that the NFL does everything in their power to protect and support organized criminals and wife beaters, but kicks addicts to the curb. Sigh.

I don't know enough about the situation to comment. But from what I know and have heard, it seems like Tanard should have known better than to put himself in a position where he'd have to count on getting the benefit of the doubt.

If it's addiction, it's not as simple as not being stupid. It's a chemical dependence. Any of y'all had trouble quitting smoking? Same thing.

Everyone who smokes is stupid, yet most people don't worry. They know full well what it's doing to them, yet they keep puffing away. Most are not losing millions of dollars, but years off your life is just as bad, if not worse.

I think it's stupid if one doesn't seek help to kick the chemical dependence. Obviously when you lose your job over it, you've got a problem.

They clearly stated the suspension is for violating the substance abuse policy, which would denote a recreational drug. They have a PED policy as well, which has it's own guidelines/restrictions/punishments.
