Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Nothing to see here folks...move on....
I guess I will be watching Captain Kirk to see how he does. Otherwise I don't have much interest in this game. |
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I want to see a lot of kick offs and field goal attempts.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
This is the only day of the year where all 32 teams play on the same day (and basically at the same time). The biggest thing to watch today is how well the new central command of replay works. It's what they call a stress test. Especially because they won't have network feeds at most games, and only local TV views. I hope ESPN or Fox gets a crew in to central command, and lets us see under the hood so to say.
I also wonder if they will put extra eyes up there? or simply plan to defer the decisions more than in regular season. |

McCoy is starting so we can rest our starting QB....... Kirk Cousins! |
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I'm only rooting for no injuries tonight.
|
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I hope Byner and Riggs each get at least 80 yards tonight.
|
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
I agree with the note above re: competition at a few spots -- RB, WR, K, CB all seem interesting. Although I have always been a Forbath fan, I am kind of pulling for Hocker because of kickoffs; the short ones have been killing us.

Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Didn't even know the game is tonight. I never watch the fourth preseason game.
|
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Bashaud Breeland, Lache Seastrunk, Ryan Grant, Zach Hoker, that is who I will be watching tonight.
Breeland has shown thus far that he deserves to be on the field for the season opener in one shape or another. |

Personally prefer Jurgensen over Kilmer, and sitting the 3rd string CFL refugee Theisman (rhymes with Heisman). But I don't want Jurgy starting this evening! |
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
We must contain Gary Anderson and be careful with Lee Roy Selmon, he can wreck shop!!
|
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread

I'm more worried about how many yards Williams will throw for against us. |
Re: Bucs Vs. Skins Gameday Thread
Why is Cap'n Kirk not playing? Is it because we have a trade lurking and we don't want him to get hurt?

Is it because he's secretly the starter on opening day?! :smashfreak: |

If RG3 plays the second half, we will know you are on to something. |

I had a feeling he was going to be a pretty safe bet, barring injury, to make the team. Virtually every scouting report I read on him going in was he had very good hands and route running ability. Though scouts love imposing size and sub 4.4 speed, there will always be a place in this league for guys who can catch and run routes. Per ESPN: Ryan Grant 2014 NFL Draft Profile - ESPN
Ball skills rank among elite in 2014 class. Excellent body control. Does a great job timing jumps and contorting body in air. Consistently makes tough catch on jump ball. Soft hands. Extends and snatches ball out of air. Consistently does a good job tracking deep ball. Will struggle to catch low ball on occasion.

Good initial acceleration off the line. Savvy route runner with quick feet and flexibility. Trusts his eyes and does a consistently good job of finding soft spots to settle. Sets up defenders effectively. Smooth transition but lacks acceleration out of breaks to consistently separate. Does not have speed to strike fear, so struggles to drive man-to-man defenders off the line. Lacks good strength and rerouted too easily.
|
