Rambo waived

I don't think this is all that surprising. |
Re: Rambo waived
redskins draw first blood, cut rambo.
|
Re: Rambo waived
A shame -- I was hoping that his second year would show the kind of growth that Amerson has exhibited.

Re: Rambo waived
It's over Baccari.

^^^ lmfao ..
I think this speaks more about robinsons play on sunday than anything else. Beside BM returning |

I think this speaks more about robinsons play on sunday than anything else. Beside BM returning
Wrong! It's all about Rambo. You can't do what Rambo did and survive. I'll grant you that Robinson playing well may have helped push Rambo out the door sooner. |
Re: Rambo waived
Yea rambo has been underwhelming to say the least
|
Re: Rambo waived
Gave up two big plays in back to back weeks. Not surprising.
|
Re: Rambo waived
hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah hallleeeelujaaah....

Re: Rambo waived
I wanted to wait until I felt our other backups were to speed, but if the coaches trust them I will too. Thank goodness Meriweather is back, but I think he's a time bomb, because his next hit will probably get him suspended again.

I feel like you have been waiting years to say that. |
Re: Rambo waived
A little surprised, but just can't miss those tackles two weeks in a row. I am a bit curious now about our salary cap. We were pretty tight once it went to counting all 53. Can't believe we have much space at all.
here is an interesting look from overthecap.com at all the teams IR and dead cap moneys Lost Salary Cap Dollars in the 2014 NFL Season | Over the Cap we are either 4th or 5th highest, depending on if their chart includes Rambo (I assume it doesn't) Redskins IR $10,802,475 Dead Money $11,289,773 Total $22,092,248 |
Re: Rambo waived
Rambo was a 6th rounder, right? I can't imagine he had much of a cap hit.

true, but bringing Ihenacho in did, and we were tight before, according to overthecap.com, we and the Rams are actually over, but since that is not allowed, I assume there are some minor moves with dollars that will allow us to be back below the cap. also according to overthecap.com he will be about 77K for dead money, and Seastrunk is costing us 27K. |

Meriweather is so happy to be back he probably can't wait to knock somebody's head off. |

Didn't think I'd ever hear that in my lifetime. But I gotta agree, lesser of two evils. |
Re: Rambo waived
Last year we would not have had the talent to cut him....

Re: Rambo waived

we could add him to the 53 since Rambo has been cut. |

Sorry, Meriweather took that spot. |
Re: Rambo waived

Then we would have to cut someone else. |
Re: Rambo waived
Then we would have to cut someone else.
Who was added to the roster when Rambo was cut? |
Re: Rambo waived
Who was added to the roster when Rambo was cut?
Brandon Meriweather. If on the suspended list, that doesnt count as one of the 53. Once Meriweather was reinstated, we either had to cut him or someone else to fit him on the roster. Rambo was the one who got the axe. |
Re: Rambo waived
oh ok
|
Re: Rambo waived
Looks like we will draft another DB next year!

Re: Rambo waived

Well...you do bring a valid point. If he would smoke dope like the rest of the league...... |
Re: Rambo waived
Rambo couldn't cover although his tackling had improved......down the road Rambo would have gotten beaten badly in coverage again and again like the the past two games showed......he was so talented in college....I hope he catches on with another team.....
