Boy we're avoiding next game's like the plague. Not that I blame y'all. Well... Perhaps there's some light at the end of the tunnel. Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Dammit Rave! Lol. I just checked about an hour ago, but just couldnt bring myself to start one. I dont think they deserve one but....
Us 42 Them 10 Its only the Titans, but we are taking our aggressions out on them. The fact that we are going to beat them like we beat the Jags says so much about the culture and coaching in DC. I mean - it is apparent to me that these guys can win but they just dont believe it. The preparation and gameplanning and lack of in game adjustments also kills us. However against the jags and titans I just dont think it matters too much. You can throw the Rams in there. Sadly thats about the only three teams imo that our talent is enough to win without the coaches helping us. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
At this point I am looking for a reason just to watch game..A little background..I am 55 years old and since 1969 I have watched EVERY REDSKIN GAME ..either on TV,Radio,live..To say I am diehard..well put it this way I have family who think I lost my mind over this team!..for some reason this year has really got to me..Im not sure if its finally my realization that we may be the east coast version of the raiders or what but I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel..heck i can't find the tunnel…My guess is we get beat 28-21 ..why would any redskin fan believe we will win..until RGIII makes a healthy and prolonged comeback ..I just don't see the skins winning ..

I agree, I'm really throwing my hands in the air because everything that could go wrong, has...especially with the injury bug. I'm perplexed by the front office, for the first time since vinny has left I'm starting to doubt upper management. Also think our scouting department may need a change. Compton, leribust, mo hurt, gettis,...why are these guys not panned out? Coaching, scouting, stupidity? Guys like Bowen, Chester, and polumbus need to fuckin go now. Fuck them. Why did we keep Santana and not a young guy? |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
U guys are rite but we beat the titans regardless or my name isnt Fletcher Redenbokker.
|
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Well, we've beaten one bad team, hopefully we'll beat another.
|
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
If we cant beat the Titans at home I have no hope in us winning another game this year

Can't wait until Jason Reid makes a big drama out of the gold pants.

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Not only do we win we blow them out, now that the pressure is off Kirk he makes everyone ask the question, what can we get for him. 42-7. Skins

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Just hoping for another Sunday where I don't have to hang my head in defeat. Win this fucking game.

Gruden is not using him correctly. My question is why keep Robinson. |

has santana even been active for a game yet? i do hope they activate him for a final home game. i have no clue what the skins might do. we havent given up a kickoff return for a TD yet. i could see us doing that . |

If we don't win this one, I'll finally start questioning Gruden's coaching ability. I've been saying all along we're a better team than last year, and if that's true we win this game at home against a 2-4 team who barely beat the Jaguars. No excuses. I think we win, 27-21. Gruden needs to trust Alfred Morris and give him the ball no less than 25 times. My theory is that Gruden hasn't found out yet that the more you give the ball to #46, the better he gets. This would be a great game to discover that. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
honestly I hope they activate Long, Lerib, and Mosses. Put in the young pups, let them get their bumps and bruises. By next season they can be starting quality players.

Titans 24 Jordan Reed -- 110 yards and 2 TDs DJax -- 140 yards and 1 TD Garcon -- 85 yards and 1 TD Alfmo -- 140 yards (finally) and 1 TD Skins win this one convincingly. Not sure why I have a lot of confidence in this result, but it's probably because a loss to the lowly Titans would mean that we're going to finish no better and potentially worse than last year, and then there will be a house cleaning that is effectively a complete re-boot (and making any prospect of getting back to a winning franchise even farther down the road) So no pressure, folks. Seriously, I don't see the Skins blowing this, although it will be closer than it ought to be. |

Here it comes. Everyone thinks the Titans are a walk over and don't realize we are just as bad

Home field means nothing to the Redskins. There is a permanent dark cloud over Fedex Field. The Titans' pass rush will be all over Cousins who will, once again, panic in the 4th quarter. Gruden will finally turn to McCoy but he will do it too late to save the game. After the game we will go over all of the same glaring weaknesses that we've known about since last season. Later in the week, Bruce Allen will refuse to allow Gruden to make any personnel changes. Gruden will say FU and do it anyway, thus initiating a feud with Allen. The losing and feuding will continue throughout the season until Gruden is fired after just one year as HC. On the day Gruden is fired, there will be another earthquake in D.C. Titans - 27 Redskins - 17 |

I was critical of Morris' lack of play making ability but if he runs the ball 30+ times he really shines. If he only gets 13 carries a game he will get you 40-50 yards and not threaten the defense at all. he isn't going to flip field position with a long run and just doesn't strike fear in the defense. They need to use him for what he is great at and thats being a battering ram. let him wear down the D and give the ball to the other guys for explosive plays. |

I think there's an easy solution however -- just start Cousins for quarters 1-3, and then trot out Colt (or really anyone -- Jordan Reed can be our 4th Q QB -- I really don't care) for the 4th quarter. |

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
If Whitehurst plays our only hope is to beg for mercy.

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
We can talk about running the ball more as much as we want, but we HAVE GOT TO RUN MORE THAN THE SAME DAMN STRETCH RUN 80% of time we run it smfh...

Im basing my opinion on head to head against the Jags. We would beat the Jags 16 times if we played them every week. We are bad but not as bad. (As the Titans). |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
i feel good if we don't abandon alfred and the running game.
i just realized he hasn't gone over 100 yards yet. we haven't given him more than 13 carries since the eagles game. feed him and everyone is better for it. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
If the Redskins lose this game, then the Redskins are officially (well non-officially, but still) sunk. However, I've written a nice twist to the storyline of this season. The Redskins somehow beat the Titans and go into Dallas with a 2-5 record. Robert Griffin III makes his comeback, and somehow is able to pull out a victory in Dallas. Suddenly, the Redskins are just two games below .500, on a two game winning streak, and suddenly they're 5-5 setting up a big game against the 49ers.
I don't expect the Redskins to beat the 49ers at that point, but I could see the Redskins being 8-8 if this is how it goes down in the next few weeks. They'll get swept by either the Giants or the Eagles - I'm pretty sure of that. But, they'll somehow pull off a victory against either the Colts of the Cowboys toward the end of the season. Things change dramatically when RGIII is playing - and playing his best. Of course this is probably the last gasp of optimism I could muster. 6-10 still looks more accurate than 8-8, and I fully expect the Redskins to lose games they shouldn't be losing. |

...and add on to the fact that Alfmo isn't performing like he used to. Helu has actually performed much better when given the opportunities. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
I'd love to see the Skins win, obviously. Heck, I'd love to just SEE them. I live just over the line in PA, so it get to see 8-12 games per year. If they play the same time on Fox as the Eagles play, then I get the Eagles game. Shitheads.
Hoping for good things this Sunday either way. |
