I'm over this team and Rg3, nothing else to be said but to start over.

I wish it was that easy. This team will be bad for at least another 2 seasons. Too many holes. There is no answer at QB in the draft or free agency. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
How in the fuck do you get blown out by a hapless 1-8 team on your own homefield??? How does that happen?
|
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
: Griffin III: "To lay an egg in front of our own home fans, that's tough. Nobody's going to feel sorry for us.""
Got that right. Team was embarrassing and awful to watch |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
We will never be any good under Snyder, unless he has some kind of epiphany and hires pros to run the team.
|
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
I say you make some of the hard changes now. 1. Evaluate Talent. Put in Back Ups in positions where it is clear the starters shouldn't be starting. 2. Fire Haslett. Give whoever is on the defensive staff that you want to have a chance to try it a chance. That way you know if you need to go in a completely new direction in the off season.

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Are any of us honestly surprised? If so....get away from the punch bowl. After the first play it was a wrap. Griff looks totally lost from my uneducated perspective. I saw Moses give up totally a few times. Tom Compton looked terrible.
On the upside tres show me the way, amo, and djax (limited for some reason) looked great when the ball was thrown somewhere in his vicinity. Aside from that it looked like the bucs were playing a f*#;ing high school team. I've asked before...but how long is everyone supposed to wait for a player to develop? That's an honest question....there's no time frame for development. If they say 2 years...I'll wait and see where the chips fall...but as a fan it's really frustrating watching this year in and out.... |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
As I mentioned in the other thread...it is clear that Dan Snyder is the problem...Honestly, the team has had some good players, and some decent coaches over the years, and the team still sux. The only constant during the Redskins misery has been Dan Snyder.
|
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Snyder is the problem if he's still involved in picking players. The first thing that needs to be done is bring in a talent evaluator and give him total control over player personnel. Second, take a long hard look at either drafting a QB or finding one in free agency. Yeah I said it. Time to move on from RG3. He's never going to be a great QB. He doesn't have the instincts to play the position at a high level. Next, I'm going to try and find more pass rushers. Kerrigan and company, again...no where to be found. And last, or first, let's get rid of some of these bum o linemen we have. Play the young guys now. Long needs to be on the field. And also can we just cut our losses with Ryan Clark right now?

This is a crappy week for football only interesting looking game was Philly-GB and it looks like a boat race. How did Tenn-Pitt end up on MNF?

Snyder is a bonafide dipshit and if their was something I could do to make him sell the team I would. But he's never gonna sell. I honestly hope he makes some changes in the front office, he needs to go to a successful organization and get some honest opinions. But I got a feeling their are 2-3 people in the front office who need to fucking go. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
How does Haslett keep his job? Does he have video of Snyder in a chicken suit riding a prostitute around a hotel room like a horse? In back to back weeks the defense has let a struggling rookie QB lead two length of the field 4th quarter TD drives and now career D grade at best Josh McCowan smokes you for a 137.5 rating getting most of his yards throwing to one guy.
I realize Griffin was awful also, but even if Griffin plays better you aren't going to win that many games with a defense that makes scrub QBs look like Hall of Famers. |

Really depends on what happens in cincy. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Dan is the obvious problem as I said in the gruden thread, dude has hired Gibbs and shanny and made them both look bad. As long as Snyder owns the team we will never have a winner sorry but it's just that real, Bruce allen sucks and needs to be replaced as well. We never draft OL high (tw was the last one) and our defense is god awful with no talent what so ever. Breeland is a rook but he got owned today , we bring in clark and he has done nothing for us. Djax was a great pick up and so was garçon don't get me wrong but nothing else has been real effective. Once Haslett was kept after that pathetic showing last yr I knew we were gonna suck again and that's y I really don't even care anymore, as long as Dan is there I won't be high on us anymore, I say it every season but I'm officially done now. Httr forever but fuck Dan Snyder.

This. Made the same comment last year, and was called a one trick pony.. Until Synder is done playing with his toy, this franchise will never win. |

Like the Shanahans? I mean that's what we said when they got here, and that blew up on us. I have no answers, it's very frustrating. Getting the right personnel guy in here will be a start, and whoever said it would take at least 2 years to get better is an optimist... |

Time to start wearing bags over are heads, and time to pull out those Synder must go signs. At least we can embarrass him on tv..

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Lack of talent, lack of being able to identifying guys that aren't narcissists like him. How many injuries has RG3 had? I hope Gruden gets a lot of support, he has a lot of tough decisions to make.

Well I just hope jay has the ability to make those decisions with dipshits in the front office saying no. |

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
I think the time has come to let LeRib, Morgan, and long play. Let's see what we have in the young guys. Robert lost all confidence and its sad because he has so much talent. the play calling on offense is repetitive.
On defense I would also like to see Robinson, Davis and Phillip Thomas playing. Ryan Clark looks bad... he may have the knowledge, but his body is done. Haz is done in DC as well. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Time to make some changes since this season is over, play the young guys and let them gain experience. The young guys can't be any worse than what is on the field right now.
OL Bench Lauvau, play LeRebius Bench Chester, play Long If Williams comes back next week then bench Compton and start Moses LB Bench Riley, start Compton S Bench Clark, start Thomas. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Yep, that Lauvau signing and contract was crap.

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Moses was garbage when filling in for Williams today. If it's any indication of what the future holds for him, he reminded me of haynesworth on offense and without an exorbitant contract. Dude made one block, backed off and stood like a statue watching defense run past him and sack griff. He was a waste of a pick. Williams goes down and we have no o line. And when griff did have more than 2 seconds....he wouldn't get rid of the ball anyway.
I'm not even gonna get into how griff, apparently, totally forgot how to slide. What was with leaping over defense and slamming on his back AFTER already getting the first down? Seems to me he isn't doing a wonderful job of learning from his mistakes. |

That's a good analogy. Worse yet boat races are equally as boring attending them in person. Probably because of insurance regulations the faster boats are so far from shore or the grandstands you can't even tell they are going fast. Went to some hydroplane races in San Diego, dozens of heat races all day and a half dozen finals in different classes. All of them were over after the first lap, shortest margin of victory probably was 1/4 mile. |

These backups may or may not be worse, but at least we'd get a look at them for next year. Only problem is that RG3 needs at least 5 seconds to make a pass, so by doing above we'd rack up 6-10 sacks per game.. |

Under Snyder's ownership: 15 2/3 seasons: 109-146 (42.75% win rate) including 2-4 in playoffs never further than Divisional playoffs 8 head coaches Previous 15 2/3 seasons: 151-114(56.98% win rate) including 12-5 in playoffs 1 SB win, 1 SB loss, 4 Conference Championship appearances 3 head coaches That guy bought a Ferrari and wrecked it, but still makes money because people like us still buy crap from the team and go to games. So I guess in some small way I am at fault for today's loss because I still buy jerseys and stuff. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
I haven't given Snyder or the Redskins any of my money since 2007. I don't understand why so many people still go to games, buy crap and whatnot.

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
OnceWeWereKings
Moses has only played in spot duty this season and he doesn't practice with the ones. He also was playing the toughest position on the line in LT. You don't go from off the bench to superstar in the NFL unless your Tom Brady. |

Ya that game didn't turn out so good either. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Despite what everyone is saying, I think this is mostly all on Grffin. Better QB play would make EVERYTHING better. Griffin is why we've lost the past two winnable games, and I'm confident both McCoy and Cousins would have won them both.
Our offense looked potent with both Cousins and McCoy in there, but looks completely lost with Griffin. Quick releases would fix the O-line issues, and just getting the ball to our talented receivers leads to great things. Our D needs competent safety and D-line play, but defenses always look better when they play with leads and can blitz more. |
Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Daniel Snyder picked RG3 against the Vikings. Anyone who thinks different is delusional at this point. That was a winnable game, and say what you will but I think coming off a two game win streak, Colt McCoy could have lead our team to victory, and repeated it against the Buccaneers.
This team has given up under RG3. Who can blame them? They're frustrated. Imagine you come off a win at Dallas in only to hear the prima dona who was what, 0-9 for starting prior to that game, is going to come in and bench McCoy. The guy was connecting that entire second half against a very good team, some of his passes were down right surgical. He was reading the defense well and got our offense into a rhythm we haven't seen in some time. Everyone was on all cylinders in Dallas, and it had a huge part with having a humble, skilled quarter back at the helm. We could be 5-5 right now and we should be 5-5 right now. At this point, I almost don't fault the players for giving up. Should they play their hearts out anyways? I'd damn well hope so, we pay them too much not to. But they see the clear favoritism and dysfunction of our franchise. They see it as they can contribute as much as they want, but the broke johnson behind center isn't the best guy to have there, but will still be there anyways because it's Snyder's favorite toy. |

He also would've had some production on punt returns. The problem is coaching. when a team comes back from a bye and plays this bad, it's on the HC. Gruden needs to fix it and have his team prepared. RG3 is our best QB option so get over it. Brady or Manning is not coming to town. Deal with it and fix the team! Good teams win and bad teams lose. It's not on one player. |
