Fletcher telling the truth, Haslett is CLUELESS, has been.

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett

I respect Fletcher for saying something, but come on man, you snitchin' after the fact. You know damn well you were probably an anonymous leak while you were still on the team. Nobody has the balls to criticize management while they're still raking in that dough.

That being said, Fletch is probably right. I've said there are some plays Haz has called where I feel like he closes his eyes and just waves his finger around and lays his finger on a random play and says, "Eh. I guess that'll work. I'll run this play."

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett

I wasn't as high on Fletcher as others were but he is completely right. I was listening to the radio and someone was talking about how on third and long the redskins are either last place or close to it giving up conversions. This team can't cover tight ends at all.

This teams a joke obviously. One of the worst franchises of the past 20 years.

I can't remember a former NFL player ripping a coach as Fletch did Haslett. Holy smokes.

Can we get someone to slam the offensive coaches as well?

I wish Fletcher would STFU. He may be right about Haz, but the Redskins kept your sorry ass around when NO ONE else would have. Fletcher played like a dead dog last year and he comes out and rips Haz? Look in the mirror bud.

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett

I think the awkward thing with Fletcher, is that keeping him around and depending on him was one of Haslett's mistake. Well I don't know if Haslett "kept" him but having Fletcher was a highlight of Haslett's terrible defense.

Your post tells the story of how bad Haz is and this team as a whole. No one else would have had Fletch starting at MLB yet we did for the whole season. Kind of like Clark at safety this year. This team and the upper management is what needs a look in the mirror. While self serving Fletch is doing nothing but speaking the truth.

Some serious low blows by Fletcher. I thought he was classier than that, apparently not.

Exactly.

Fletcher is a huge reason that defense was garbage. London ranked as one of the worst LBs in the league according to PFF, and yet he was raking in big time money. Never heard one peep from Haslett about benching his ass or cutting him (which they should have done both).

Very classless from London, and to say something to Haz's son is even worse.

I'm sorry and I think haslet is bad but this is a disgrace. I'm disgusted how a grown man would attack a coach through his sons Twitter account.

Fletch should apologize immediately for this classless act

Fletcher's always been an honest guy, why stop now? Because it's uncomfortable for Hasletts son? Pssshhh fuck off PC police. Haslett is the disgrace.

I know this is an all time low for Redskins football, but it's always darkest before dawn. Bring in the right coaches and we'll get back on track in a season. I don't know who the people are but a hardass defensive minded HC and offensive guru to work with RG, winning combo in my mind.

That's his opinion, just because you may not agree doesn't mean it was classless.

Video with film breakdown by London.

Why didn't London break down film when he was being burned over and over and over, and missing tackles over and over and over while collecting a HUGE check?

Most of that film breakdown shows the players didn't do their job, not that they were out-schemed. That said, Haslett should have never been hired to begin with.

If he wanted to show bad schemes, he should have showed the one where Perry Riley was covering a WR. THAT was a bad scheme.

LOL I can't say I didn't think that Fletch was just bitter because he got beaten like he stole something by WRs and TEs his last year.

If London spoke up back in the day he would be label "disgruntled" and "disruptive" and a "distraction." He speaks up now and we're still labeling negatively. I have tremendous respect for London and I for one am happy he called out the shit show that is Jim Haslett we have all been watching the past 4-5 years

I feel like Fletcher could end up the next McNabb. A guy who had a clean image as a player who outs himself as being an asshole now that he's in the media.

saden1 12-07-2014 09:10 PM

Re: Fletcher slams Haslett

Well I don't know how you can view him as an asshole if he is speaking the truth? To me it sounds like he is tried of how the players are to blame and he is showing you evidence why it's not their fault. And he is nothing kike McNabb...London has no ax to grind...he left on his own and would have retired earlier had the Skins not begged him to return.

I think he is going to be a perfect example of why it is often a bad idea to like certain NFL players because of the great person they are/appear to be.

Speaking the truth doesn't absolve someone of being an asshole.

You can be honest but there is a fine line between being honest and being disrespectful. I think he crossed it.

I think what he said was correct... He just said it in an extremely disrespectful way.

He also came back for the money more than anything else in my opinion.

The truth is self-evident and can seem ugly. Perhaps you want him to be more "constructive" in his criticism?
The truth is self-evident and can seem ugly. Perhaps you want him to be more "constructive" in his criticism?
What's wrong with being constructive, or simply more professional?

Considering how Haz always had his back even when it was obvious he had no business being on the field, you would think a more constructive tone wouldn't have been too much to ask.

He can speak all he wants, it's his opinion. And my opinion is he's an asshole for the way he went about it.

Opinion? Opinion is "a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge." The film doesn't lie neither does Jim's tenure.

For me it feels like London had a very valid point, but expressed it in poor manner. I ain't no fan of Haslett either but there are better ways for Fletch to say how he feels.
