I'm really hoping one of the two "top ranked" recivers falls to us. They have been saying that either or could be a major steal; I dont remember thier names but one was from Tulane and the other from a small school.

Seriously, they dont give you any coverage of whats going on. Just talk about the first round all over again and Clarett. We traded with Minnesota, I'm working on finding out what we recived in return since I dont expect ESPN to say anything about it.

Someone on another forum is saying that Washington gets Minns 4th round pick (120) plus a 5th round pick

I wonder if they were targeting Elton Brown, and when he was taken before Arizona they traded down

Washington traded the 112th pick to Minnesota for the 120th (4th) and 154th (5th) selections.

Strengths: Is an intriguing developmental FB prospect because of his unique blend of size, athleticism and speed. Has great experience as a ball carrier and receiver. Shows excellent initial burst and good speed for his size. Has some lateral movement quickness and does a decent job of planting and driving without losing much in transition. He has good vision and patience as a runner. Is a powerful runner with good body lean and lower body strength. Has soft hands for a bigger back out of the backfield and shows a good feel as a route runner in the short area. Has good size as a blocker. Is raw as a blocker but has some upside if he can improve his technique while getting bigger and tougher.

Weaknesses: Durability is a concern after missing four games with a leg injury in 2003 and suffering a knee injury during the 2005 Senior Bowl. He's a bit of a 'tweener who lacks the top-end speed and explosiveness of a fulltime NFL running back, but also lacks experience and strength as a blocker. His awareness and angles must improve as a blocker. He needs to also do a better job of sustaining and playing with leverage. Is big but must improve his lower body strength and overall power as a blocker. Also needs to become more physical and aggressive in that facet.

I think he is more of a pass catching FB like Larry Centers. He is also big enought that they could get his blocking up to par and have him play some TE/HB.

now, a lot of you guys have been begging for a guy with that size to be a short yardage back, and thats exactly what i think he is. sounds like a pick that fills a need to me. im thinking hes the goal line back and short yardage guy

If he is replacing Betts as the sort yardage guy and Betts is now there to spell Portis then this makes a little sense. If he is to be a FB then I have serious doubts about two projects with our first three picks.
