All things off season 2015.
Alright it's over thank god. What's next? Can it be fixed ever? Seriously I don't know if Dan will ever have a winner. I'm good with cleaning house.
Coaching staff Qb Defense All of it |
Re: All things off season 2015.
first thing is we need to do is divert the Potomac river and run it through fed ex stadium in an attempt to finally put out the largest, continuously burning dumpster fire in the nfl.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Replace
owner Gm dc qb ol except lt d except lbs dts bree hall st except p an k |
Re: All things off season 2015.
Haz and Morris need to go. Point blank period.
Griff I think needs one, and I mean ONLY one more chance to show what he's got. With that said, I think we need to seriously consider drafting a pure pocket QB and letting him sit behind Griff and Cousins/McCoy and study next season. Defense is a mess. I just hope we sign a FA DB and draft a safety in the off-season because they look like a bunch of idiots back there. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
Hire a solid GM who will fire Gruden, hire Bowles and let Bowles select his own staff. I really want Bowles aggressive defense scheme, tired of pussy football.
|
Re: All things off season 2015.
Fixing this team is like finding your favorite lego pieces to build a home, except your mom just dumped out a box with 4,000+ crappy pieces you don't need.
Time to sift through the garbage.. Find those 5-10 pieces we need and start replacing all others. BTW, No matter what we do this off season, I DON'T see us contending next year. Keep expectations low everybody, it's a long road to rebuild. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
Jets won today, nice, up to #5 in the draft. If Raiders win, we're up to #4. C'mon Raiders.

One more chance then. 2 years is an awfully long commitment to someone who hasn't proven to be reliable at all. Hence why I wish we'd draft a QB and let him sit. That way if Griff stinks it up next year, we'll already have a QB ready to start in 2016. |

Yep, we get the 5th pick. Better be a good one or trade down for more picks. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
I say let griffin stay on roster but draft a qb especially if mariotta is there

So say Mariotta IS there (I think the Bucs are going to pick him, but anyway) do the Skins pick him up? I say no, since they have other pressing needs, but they definitely do need to pick up a QB in the later rounds. Are there even any QB's worth looking at in later rounds? I don't follow college kids that much so other than the big names, I don't know much. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
I would if we can add a RT in free agency but honestly tb will draft him. Also is it a sure thing gruden returns?

From all accounts I've heard, yes. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
How about we trade RGIII, Jarvis Jenkins, Roy Helu, throw in LeRibeus for their #1 pick? Yeah right!! Then draft The USC DT, followed by Mariotta, then I wake up.

Re: All things off season 2015.
This is the offseason that I want vintage Dan Snyder circa 2000. React emotionally, get pissed off and CLEAN HOUSE! I know it won't happen but there is literally nothing other than a complete reboot of the football operations that will give me any reason to be hopeful of this team approaching .500 any time soon. If Allen, Campbell, Gruden or any of his assistants other than Banks and Olivadotti return I'm out on this team.
I've been diehard since 1981 but it's at a point where I have no emotion other than apathy towards the team. With who we have in power I don't care about free agency, the draft, OTAs, none of it. I have zero confidence that we will pick the right players or develop the ones we have or acquire. Right now, I don't even think it's just a Snyder problem. We need 3 years to remove the stench (most players, coaches, front office, training staff, support staff) from this organization. I would be more encouraged by a complete rebuild like what Jacksonville is doing (don't laugh, they are our peers) than our current and immediate future course. I can guarantee TODAY that next year at this time we will again be a double digit loss team. If you think firing Haslett, starting Cousins or drafting a RT in the first round is anything other than a squirt of Febreeze on a heaping pile of rotting whale carcass you are fooling yourself. What we saw last year, what we saw this year will be a crystal ball for what the next few years will look like unless we clean house, which of course we will not. |

Re: All things off season 2015.
Start with a new GM, the personnel decisions have been horrible
clear at least $10 million in cap space by cutting Chester, Porter, Bowen or Coefield, and Riley. this would leave $30+ million for free agents Trade down in every round, and add 5 -10 draft picks that can contribute next year |

Re: All things off season 2015.
Thought Bowen, Riley, Hall, Paulsen, Moss, and Roberts at least bring good depth and can still help on special teams.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Allen--- moves out of the GM spot and stays strictly to the President role
New scout head needs to addressed HC--Gruden 2 years to get us fixed and if not look for Harbaugh to leave Ann Arbor for DC Haslett--OUT O-line----everybody goes except Trent Williams D-Line----blow it up but keep Hatch(a lot a good free-agents out there) Secondary----draft or sign a starter bc Amerson is a safety and NOT a CB QB-----RGIII and Kirk stay one more year but note there are a ton of good F/As in 2016 |
Re: All things off season 2015.
I think Snyder wants Gruden to be our Jason Garrett. In order to make this happen patience is key. We have to bring in a Strong DC. I would advocate for Ken Norton Jr. He has been the Seahawks LB coach for 3 years, before that he was at USC with Pete Carroll for 6 years obtaining the title of Assistant HC Defense at USC. If not him I am okay with Mike Singletary or Wade Phillips. If Wade came in I don't see a lot of changes to the defensive staff.
I would hire Brian Billick to be a senior offensive consultant. Having a veteran coach like Brian to help both Sean and Jay could help greatly. I would also fire Chris Forester, he has worked here for four years with little to no success. Pay Russ Grimm to come out of retirement and become assistant head coach offensive Line. |

Re: All things off season 2015.
As for the front office we know Bruce Allen should become President, AJ Smith as VP/GM and fire Scott Campbell. Bring in Jimmy Raye III to take Scott's place or Dan Morgan. I would rather have Dan but I know Jimmy worked with AJ in San Diego

No, no, anything Jimmy Raye doesn't sound good (even if it's his son). |
Re: All things off season 2015.
^ Was he terrible in San Diego? I am more for Dan Morgan but I assume that AJ is gonna want some of his own guys...

Man, what strikes me even more than Dallas having just 1 (and that might end this season, sadly), is how many crap franchises are doing better than we are -- Raiders, Titans, etc. We really don't have anything to brag about. The Patriots are at 19! Gah, we're sooooo far off. |

Damn we need to let the 80's die. Grimm has done nothing recently to indicate he's what we need as an OL coach for the future. No other team digs up old alumni like our fanbase tries to do. Well us and the Raiders, how has that worked for them? |

And who do you have in mind to coach the OL? Grimm did a decent job in Arizona, I believe they played in a SB. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
Got the number 5 pick: Leonard Williams DT, USC
2nd round: La'ell Collins OT, LSU |
Re: All things off season 2015.
Amerson to safety. Always seemed obvious to me. Clearer after yesterday.
|
Re: All things off season 2015.
And there does seriously need to be a change in whoever evaluates talent in both free agency and the draft on this football team. That much is glaringly obvious and has been for years. Without change there then we are going to be waiting a long time for any success on the field.
Firing Haslett and Raheem are necessary too but any new defensive coaches need decent pieces to shift around. |

Re: All things off season 2015.
Jets ,it's official Rex and the GM are gone .
New York Jets @nyjets · 3m 3 minutes ago This morning Woody Johnson informed John Idzik and Rex Ryan that they will not be returning to the team in 2015. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 16s16 seconds ago Jets announced GM John Idzik and HC Rex Ryan have been fired. |
Got the number 5 pick: Leonard Williams DT, USA
2nd round: La'ell Collins OT, LSU
This would be wonderful. |
Re: All things off season 2015.
What teams do you think will be making coaching changes ,
Jets , Raiders ,Bears ,Titian ,Falcons,...maybe Miami ,49's ,anyone else we don't see coming ? |

I don't think you know who is on the staff of NFL teams. Dophins tried and currently maintain a relationship with Dan Marino. Remind me who is Denver's GM? I wonder what Deuce Staley is doing right now... oh yeah, he coaches for the Eagles. Mike Munchchak went from player up over time to head coach for the same franchise in the Titans. Look up what Joey Porter is doing right now. As pointed out by SF, Russ Grimm has gotten to the Superbowl with the Cardinals and won a Superbowl with the Steelers. He developed Chris Samuels and Jon Jansen as a coach on the Redskins staff. (the last time we had a decent line). Please do your research before you make off base statements. |
