Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
I was reading this article today, and it was talking about Jordan Reed and the changes he's made to try and stay healthy. Do you believe it? Do you think it will work? If he can still healthy our offense could really take off.

Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
By bringing this up you probably gave him the kiss of death. It would be nice for him to stay healthy for a whole season.

Never hurts to eat and train right. Unfortunately injuries are shit luck a lot of the time.

Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
If Reed can stay healthy, this offense indeed has some weapons.....
|
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
I do believe we will be very competitive this season. I hope he's beaten the injury bug.

Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
he has to prove it. i'd like him to play in 16+ games this year, but I don't really expect it to happen.
|
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
Whens his contract up?
If he doesnt play all 16 this year, well then..... |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
If there was a pool about how long he will go before getting injured, im sure most people will choose a preseason game. No one will put up money on the expectation that he plays all 16 games.
Im hoping the extra stuff he is doing will help, but I dont expect him to go from always injured to never injured. Helluva talent when it comes to receiving, but that doesnt matter when he is in on the sidelines all bandaged up and not in the game. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
Interesting that Jordan's number 2 behind Niles Paul on the recent depth chart release.

I noticed that today as well. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
Paul is on the field 16 games and is willing to block. Nothing to see here.
Hope we draft a good TE next year.. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
I like the Paul/Reed combo actually.
The guy I don't like is Paulsen. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
I think there is a difference btw being injured and being sore.
Football players have to play through pain. No one is 100%. Its hard to tell with quad and hammy strains. You dont want to push it and make things worse but at the end of the day, you cant miss 8-10 games bc of tight or sore hammy. Reed just takes forever like he doesnt want to play until he is 100%. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
No doubt Reed is talented receiving TE when healthy.
Reed is not the greatest blocker, not very physical, does not seem like he likes to fight. I think that and not staying healthy is why Niles Paul is rewarded with the start at this time. It will be interesting to see what happens. I hope one of the young guys really surprises...that would be great. Devin Pahina? |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
These initial depth charts are unofficial. Not much to take away from them right now.

Smh[/quote] I often wonder how many of these guys take stretching seriously. Probably not enough. This isn't to say this is the cause, but good stretching can prevent pulls and other injuries. |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
Guess we know how long he lasted... One week of training camp, and out before the first preseason game. Sure, things can turn around, but id put the chances around zero he goes 16 games. And not being available is the kiss of death for being on the team.
Cant help us if he's not on the field. We def need to draft a toung durable well rounded TE next year... |
Re: Jordan Reed to finally stay healthy?
Dang son. Reed could be a monster TE with multiple pro bowls but he can never stay healthy. :(
