2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
What are looking for tonight outside of the Skins pick?
Things I'm gonna watch: Who is gonna fall? My thoughts are Myles Jack What are the Chargers gonna do...we know the QBs will be 1 and 2? Trades....could be a couple more. My thoughts with the Skins...a run on WR is being mocked right after our pick at 21 with Houston, Minnesota and Cincy all interested in receivers. Could one of those want to jump up to get their choice between Coleman, Fuller, Doctson or Treadwell? Hopefully so. Thoughts on tonight? |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Oh...will be watching how many QBs go in the first round...Im thinking at least 3, probably 4.
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
I'm ready for the blue balls that will come with the very real possibility of us trading down and not picking until tomorrow... :(
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Looking out for what our enemies do with their picks.
I want Jerrah to ruin the Cowboys draft and well...eff Mara. Looking to see what the Browns do b/c of Griffin and b/c I'm rooting for their unabashed adoption of analytics. Where will Mac Alexander go imo one of the best CBs in the draft Outside of the 1st Looking to where my to favorite sleeper QBS get drafted Brandon Allen and Trevone Boykin Also looking where these sleeper/underrated prospects go: BJ Goodson, Stephen Daniels, Brandon Chubb, KJ Dillon....and not so much a sleeper Kevin Byard and Tyvis Powell |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Aside from thinking the Redskins won't pick tonight, the main things I want to see are:
1) Make damn sure Zeke doesn't go anywhere in the NFCE. 2) See big names who fall to us tomorrow. 3) See who gets drafted too high. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
We need to take the best DT in the first round.
Make trades later. I'd rather Dallas takes Zeke than a blue chip offensive lineman, knowing how fragile Romo is. Looks like Jack is falling already. How many times will Mayock say "twitchy"? |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
No way Dallas takes a lineman. They're pretty much set across the board.
I think Zeke is a real possibility, but many people are saying Bosa. I think if they go Bosa/Ramsey, they are boom/bust, no in between. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
I'm hoping Bradford doesnt get traded today. Or they make a really shitty trade.
He can stay in Philly and fester a while and infect the whole team. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
I think I'd be happy either way. I think if Bradford goes, they can throw the rookie to the wolves and maybe he'll get Carr-ed.

Dallas, Cleveland, San Fran, Baltimore, Giants, Chicago and Miami all love him. I think San Diego could make a trade with anyone of those cats. I don't think Dallas can pass on their choice of best defensive player in the draft and I feel no way in hell Zeke makes it past the Giants. |

I feel you, although my main focus will be watching the Caps game tonight I'd hate to watch just to see us trade down. But I'll take one night of watching everyone else draft if it means we end up with a draft class to remember for the next 10 years. |

Agreed. I think Bradford is a solid backup, but if he stays and is a malcontent that's great for us. And if he goes then the Eagles only have Chase Daniel to back up the rookie (while i think Daniel is a solid backup as well better for them to only have 1 instead of 2). |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Not likely, but I'm hoping we stay put and Ryan Kelly falls to us.
If he's not there, I'm good with drafting WR, LB, DT or S if they deem one is worthy of that pick. Otherwise, a trade would be ok too - pick up a couple more picks. It's gonna be an interesting couple of days across the NFL. |

Connor Cook to the skins at 21? If Scot goes true BPA ... |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Cook? If he is chosen in the first round, it's because of his position not b/c he is the BPA.
If he or Lynch is available at 21, I can see SM squeezing picks out of one of the QB desperate teams and wish them well while he loads up on the guys who fall because teams over pay for QB's. Seriously, doe anyone think Goff or Wentz are the best players in the draft - guys who can come in, start and possibly star from day 1? Nope ... but, because of their position, San Diego gets a shot at the real No. 1 college player. Very simply, the more QB's go before 21, the better for us. Either (1) we get a guy who has fallen not because of question marks but b/c other teams over value college QB's; (2) we trade out and get multiple picks b/c some non-QB who should've been drafted earlier falls to us and teams start bidding for him; or (3) the last QB who can throw more than 10 yards is on the board when we draft. |

I think no matter what the Eagles QB situation is going to be garbage. They're going to have to live off defense alone. As long as they take Wentz, I think they'll be shit for years to come. I read somewhere they only have a couple picks left in the draft now. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Remember not so long ago when we didn't even tune in for the first round. Forgetting the Griff trade, but Vinny always trading it away. Its so nice to be relevant again. HTTR. I really want someone who gets after the qb tonight. But a run stuffer would be great too. I do like Karl Joseph too.

The Eagles still have seven picks this draft: A first, a third, two fifths, a sixth, and two sevenths. So they only have two premium picks (1st & 3rd) but they get to take their shots at the back end of a loaded draft. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Ahhh, thanks! Hopefully that does NOT work out for them. :D

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Just thought about this: I'd love Kelly, but unless he's a once-in-a-lifetime center prospect, shouldn't we be in position next year to also draft the best (or next best) center available? Typically centers don't go in the first round, so even if we're picking in the teens next year, we could possibly even trade back and get the best one next year. I think we need an upgrade there, but the more I think about it, the more I want to wait.
That being said, if we pick Kelly, I won't be mad at it. :D |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Wentz looks like a clown
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
WTF... the first pick should have 30 seconds
|
2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Defense. Defense. Defense.
Thee best defensive player on the board. No trading down. We need an immediate injection of impact on that side of the ball. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Who is the idiot next to berman who just said goff was Montana? What a fuckin idiot. And then kiper said no way goff should start day one! Lol
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Still can't believe the Rams and Eagles pissed away all those draft picks.

Seriously, did he catch a few of the ESPN bosses with hookers or something? He's just so fucking annoying. |
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Deion is a fucking douche nozzle for trying to stir up shit. Let the guy have his moment, not smear it with drama. Wentz should have given him the "That's a clown question bro" treatment.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
At some point they need to work in who has the hottest girlfriend in the green room.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
With bosa off the board...think the boys go zeke now
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
Wow. Didnt see that coming. Great pick though.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
From Andrew Brandt: Eagles QB signings this year: Chase Daniel, $12M guaranteed, Sam Bradford $22M guaranteed; Carson Wentz, $27M guaranteed. $61M guaranteed.

So happy the cowboys didn't take Ramsey. Awesome.
|
Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round
