Redskins players, and fans, hope the burgundy pants are here to stay
 

Redskins fans’ prayers were answered last Sunday. Not only did Washington come up with its first victory of the season against the New York Giants, but it ditched the gold pants, as well. The players were just as shocked to arrive to MetLife Stadium with burgundy pants hanging in their lockers to pair up with their white road jerseys.

The change reminded players and fans of franchise’s success during the 1980s and early 1990s wearing the burgundy pants.

I thought the gold pants were a nice change a few years ago, but after seeing the burgundy pants again I'd like to see them switch back to those especially at home. Use the gold as an alternate here and there.

Sorry los, those gold pants are horrible, I'd be happy to never see them again. Go with the white/burgundy and burgundy/white combos, with white on white uni below as an alternate.

This would be a good compromise for me. I love the b&g look, but felt like the white on gold look was just ok. I don't want them to totally get rid of the gold pants though.

all whites are awesome, too.

i'd like all 3 pant colors in rotation w burgundy and white jerseys.

i hate the white jerseys at home, feels weak.

those all whites are awful. They look like practice stuff. It was good seeing the old championship uniforms last week. I don't mind the gold pants though..

Personally I completely hate White Pants!

I especially hate White Pants with White Jerseys and I won't even discuss the ugly Burgundy Jerseys and Burgundy Pants combo.

"Gold" pants aren't really gold are they? Looks more like yellow and reminds me of something Ronald McDonald would wear. Not a fan of the gold/yellow and hope the burgandy makes a comeback like UT did against UGA yesterday!!

is thanksgiving a color rush game. I remember there was discussion that the Skins wouldn't have a color rush uniform, is that still the case? The only one I thought wasn't to bad so far was the Ravens purple on purple.

I like their alternative uniform with like the dark gold and dark burgandy jerseys.

I pretty much like all of them, but I'm old school about uniforms in general, so the more classic the look the more I like them. That goes for just about any team.

The gold pants hearken to the days of
Sonny, etc. To be honest they have grown on me. The current uniform has elements of two old school eras that make a uniform for a new one.

At the beginning of the year, it was reported that they were not wearing color rush unis on Thanksgiving b/c they aren't playing in the TNF game.

Didn't see any links about the actual game unis for Thursday. I am betting burgundy jerseys and gold pants. Would not mind them going with the burgundy jerseys and white pants to hearken back to the glory days.

... regardless, so long as they kick them in the balls and gut them like the worthless frontrunners they are, I don't particularly care what iteration of B&G they beat them senseless with.

I seem to remember during 2005, and the "five in a row, or we don't go" situation, that the players grew fond of the white on white, and almost superstitiously wore them as their winning streak continued. Was there anything behind this, or was it just coincidental?

All teams have color rush uniforms but the Skins won't be wearing them this year, maybe that's a good thing...

I think some players went to Gibbs initially and suggested wearing all whites, Gibbs gave the ok and they just kept wearing them since they kept winning.
