Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Hopkins. But all kickers suck except Bailey. He is not the worst and far from the best.
D just lacks talent in a big big way. McVay is a moron inside the 20 and a genius outside of it. Kirk and Reed and Crowder have the potential to do big things here. Hopefully we get some playmakers on the other side of the ball for next year. This team will make a deep run this year I guarantee it. If we had a normal week we beat these guys. They aint much better. Just more rested. Fuck u Dallas. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
No way you can't pin this loss on Hopkins and the Defense as a whole. It all comes back to how we felt at the beginning of the season, with the defense allowing 30 points, Kirk and the offense every single game needs to score 31 pts or more to win. Not going to win many games this way.
Punch is right - The defense doesn't have talent. Offense is good enough to win many games if the defense didn't suck so hard |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
The first half red zone execution and playcalling is inexcusable at this point in the season. It shows when going for 2 as well. There is no excuse for putting up 500 yard of offense but can't put it together for 7 vs 3.
The defense is what it is...quite honestly it's been great in the second half for most the season. Giving them a short field was a tough call, but I didn't mind the gamble there. Fuck fuck fuck. Dustin Hopkins get your shit together on the field goals, too inconsistent these last 3-4 games |

Say what you want but the organization is not sold on Cousins.....SAY WHAT!! ..well the head coach just said Cousins was "pretty good".....pretty good?? the guy was 41/53 450 yds 3 td's .no int....and all the head coach can say is "pretty good"..something is wrong about this..COUSINS PLAYED GREAT!!! ..its the stupid redzone play calling that sucks..its the Questionable coaching calls that hurt this team..If they win the game GRUDEN gives all the praise to Cousins..and yet Cousins does everything that one could ask and he was Pretty good. I would have rather Gruden said Kirk did everything he could played lights out the loss is not because of Him..truth is the loss is on GRUDEN and the D that can't stop many teams. 3 games in 11 days we go 2-1 ..Dak was pretty good..Cousins was VERY GOOD!! sounds like GRUDEN is covering his own butt..

I wouldn't read too far into "pretty good". He isnt the type to gush. Honestly as it stands right now Cousins may be the hottest qb on the planet. We are a few playmakers on D from being world beaters. This season is far from over. Httr. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
I'm sorry but it seems this team is trying to put a wedge between them and Cousins..Please somebody tell me ..is there anybody out there we could get that could play like him the last 20 games?? He is the highest rated QB in the league in the last 20 games..I guess they got a plan..but i got a plan to! IF they let Cousins walk I'm done with this mess..they need to shore up the Def..can you imagine this Offense with a good D?? Super Bowl bound!

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
I can't even be mad at our team right now, I'm just sitting here like "is this the start of another 10 year streak of dominance from Dallas?" WTF man, like how is it that we become a better team yet Dallas finds 2 fucking players and it looks like they're set for years to come? God damn. Why can't we ever get that fucking lucky?
|
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Not too mad. We played them to the end. Kirk is a good QB, we have a lot of weapons. Need some defense but we'll be fine. Still make the playoffs.

We all thought the same in 2012.. We'll see in a few years if they are that good. |

I am going to say it again. Short week. Traveled. Night game on Sunday. We were at a disadvantage coming in. We are missing TW which certainly does not help. Not that Ty hasn't been solid but still. We out-gained them by a lot. They are not the next big thing. No way. That will all come out in the wash by the end of the post season. We will go deeper into the mother lovin playoffs than those cork socking pieces of sheet. |

He doesn't make mistakes, doesn't make bad throws, has great pocket presence, he's got the best line in the NFL in front of him and a stud rb behind him. They just need to find another TE once Witten retires and they will still be set for years. Yes their D is not that good but with an offense like that it doesn't have to be great, just solid. |

Im certainly not taking anything away from Dak or that team. Just saying they are extremely beatable for a 10-1 . Thats all.

There isn't anyone they could get that will play as well as Cousins but i think they are damn sure going to try this off-season. One of the telling things i heard today during the pre-game, i believe it was Troy Aikman who was breaking down both QB's and he said "The redskins are not expected to be keeping Cousins this off-season", and i felt for sure i heard him wrong, but then i wondered if maybe he heard something internal somehow from someone that he might still know / talk to, etc... |

You absolutely positively with out a shadow of a doubt heard him wrong. |

I just watched the pregame again and heard nothing of the sort. I also checked Twitter because no doubt someone would have mentioned it.

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Defense just needs a few more guys, we are really close. They can't hold up if the offense isn't perfect. The cowboys are really hot right now. They also don't make mistakes, which is really a great way to win. We definately made mistakes, 55 yard field goal attempt was a bad idea. The whole team was holding their hands up because of the sun. We also kept struggling to block on run plays, probably because people are banged up and short week.
|
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
With how the Cowboys are doing this year, its better to go 0-2 against them and 4-0 against everyone else in our division. We can still do that.
Next week is definitely a hot pink code red game. Need to get to 7-4-1. |

Certainly florio would have jizzed himself and put that up on pro football talk. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Against good teams our offense has to play just about perfect to win. They were merely good today so we lost.
Need more players on D. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
I saw Jackson tugged by the jersey no call, Whitner penalty shouldn't have. Personal foul called as his momentum had him moving and could not stop, many other bullshit non calls by their DB's holding in the endzone.

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
P Smith is slow as fuck, He's probably better off a run guy because he just doesn't get off the edge..
Also here is y I think QBR is a flat joke, Cousins had 300 more yards than dak passing damn near and 2 more TDS. No TO's and he had a lower QBR? LOL thats a joke |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Keim agrees:
Gruden rolled the dice. But coaching decisions gave Dallas two shorter fields to drive. They converted both into TDs. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Joe Bare and his below average scheme has to take most of the blame. This defense is totally unreliable. Will Compton is not a starting inside middle linebacker. The offense was "pretty good." Kirk had a huge game. But the offense couldn't punch it in. That made the difference in the game.

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
We finish 11-4-1. Nobody left on the schedule scares me at all. This is a damn good team.

Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
The 10 days off will help the team get healthy. One more game and we will get Trent Williams back.
The final game of the season will determine the wild card. If we will, we will be in. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
Still can't get the over McVays direct snap to Fat Rob. I mean, what is this, amateur hour?
For some reason his brain goes to mush inside of the 10. I don't know why we never lineup under center in the red zone. It always seems to be all shotgun, sometimes even with no running back. I hate it. I want Cousins under QB and using the run or threat of the run to create gaps in the defense. Stop being so damn cute. |

To me it clearly was a penalty, QB sliding down, Whitner late and leading with his helmet... Overall, considering how bad refereeing is this season, I won't complain about the refs on this game, some missed calls but nothing game changing IMO. We made enough mistakes on our side to lose this one. I may sound monomaniac, but I really don't see what Whitner is bringing to the table... Missed tackles, slow, gets beaten on coverage, doesn't ever break out from his blocks... I know you may say he's not the one costing us the game but I really don't see why you would play him over Ihenacho. I'm fine with Duke and Blackmon. |
Re: Cowpukes postgame finger pointing thread
I'm excited to see what the defense will look like next year with another signing period and draft. Next year we win at least 10.
