Nfl week 5

Last nights game sucked, another bad tNF showing... The league should really get rid of it...

That was too quality teams versus each other.

Normally it's JAX vs NYJ

Half the time I forget there is a game on TNF.

I know I posted this in the "Bye week" thread, but this is not good news for Josh Norman and the Redskins:

Josh Norman to miss four weeks due to rib, lung issues.

At least one week is a bye and the following week is against a very beatable team. But, we're going to need Norman's services down the road.

Talking heads said after Norman left, we had to go to a soft cover 2, couldnt be aggressive. As long as we have him fully healthy for the last 4 games I think we will be okay. Just gotta go 6-6 then win 3-1 to finish.

Eagles Cox is out for game against the Cards.

How is the product different on Thursday versus Sunday? Not being a dick, but when I watch the games, they look the same to me. Sometimes it's just a crap match-up.

Teams don’t seemed prepared or rested.

Bad games stick out more on Thursdays because you can't turn it to another game. There are plenty of bad games on Sundays too, we just don't watch them.

And we don't need football on Thursdays so it starts off behind the 8 ball.

Football teams need more that three days for recuperation, game planing and travel.

Here's your Brandon Banks update. Glad to see he's still playing football, even if it's in the CFL.

Glad we have a bye, because after that FSU loss I just took, I couldn't handle any more football stress. Go Packers.

But they're definitely useless.

I'm in the former Chargers hometown, that was epic. Chargers always fuck up in the 4th quarter. Giants are so bad, they broke the Chargers curse. Awesome.

Yeah I just saw the highlights its going to be tough to win without ODB. Damn that injury looked nasty.

sdskinsfan2001 10-08-2017 04:39 PM

Re: Nfl week 5

Thee worst personal foul call I've ever seen. If the refs will be this bad, you should be able to challenge every play. That was epically bad.

I think I just saw the worst call in the history of the NFL against Green Bay in the end zone, basically giving the Cowboys a TD. That ref that made that call is a Cowboy fan and should have been fired on the spot. That was just awful.

Yep, my post #21 was about that play. What a damn joke. You should be able to challenge that call. That's no less important than a PI call. Thlat call was worth 4 points. That's huge.

The Elliot first down on 4th down was bs to. The NFL loves the cowpukes

Damn, I think the Giants could be vying for a top 5 pick in the draft. Even though I think odb jr is wildly overrated as a player and is a horrible teammate, which I’m right on both, it sux to see him get injuried like that. Hopefully he gets some good news from the medical test tomorrow.

I’m really amazed by the Cowboys...they blow huge leads time and time again. I think it’s coaching and the defense just seems to wear down especially at lb and secondary as the game goes on.

Yup. How crazy was that final drive. Breaking 2 tackles on third down, going back to Devante Adams for the td catch. Every time the camera panned to them, it looked like Arod and Co. just had that old "we're going to score, period" mentality. Like it was a foregone conclusion.

Happy that it happened to the Cowboys too :). Is it time to start panicking yet that year 2 of the Dak Dreamboat might not be as good as year 1? lol.

Chico23231 10-08-2017 08:52 PM

Re: Nfl week 5

And something else loss in the Rodgers heroics is Dallas is so soft up the middle of that defense especially with Sean lee out. Dallas allowed a rookie rb with a below avg oline to shred them for like 120 yards on the ground. That’s after Todd Gurley effing shredded them the week before. Just getting out physical at the los...just love to see them get punched in the mouth over and over.

skinsfaninok 10-08-2017 10:15 PM

Re: Nfl week 5

Dallas is an avg team, last yr was a fluke with the rookies.. Both are good but not great players. THeir D sucks

So I sees this and my first reaction is that Jerry is being a damn fool and I love it...

But then I sees this and I'm like, nooo don't do it Danny! How are you gonna link arms with the players and then pull a Jerry! Yes, I know we like reliable sources around here, but that source is based off Shaun King, who apparently called this happening with Jerry like two weeks ago.

Predictably this protest has become a media sensation which in turn has drowned the meaning of it. Kinda ironic...but it kinda funny that most don’t see it which speaks to the incompetence.

Further evidence of the media sensationalism:CBS clarifies after saying Kaepernick would stand for anthem - Chicago Tribune

And seeing Chiefs receiver Chris Conley snap his achilles was fricking knarly,I thought worse looking then OBJ injury

Yeah he's a good QB. He actually throws the deep ball and does it well.

Goff
Wentz
Carr
Watson

are the best young QBs in the NFL.
