Packers pregame thread
OK -- time to stop whining about the Colts game. Predictions for this Sunday?
I am hoping (really, praying) it will be a bounce back game, and the Skins win a close one 33-31 with Hopkins sealing it with a last minute field goal. The Packers D -- particularly the secondary -- isn't scary, and but for extraordinary heroics from Rodgers in week 1, they'd be 0-1-1. Their run game is weak. In week 1, the Bears passed for a paltry 155 yards -- and nearly won. The Bears did put up 139 rushing yards. In week 2, the Vikes didn't seem to press the rush (they only ran 18 times for 68 yards), but Cousins went off -- 412 net passing yards. We ought to be able to put up some points. Time for our secondary and pass rush to make some noise. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
I think we head into the bye 2-1, yes it was ugly last week but lest see if the leadership on this team can bounce back.
26-24 Skins on a GW FG |
Re: Packers pregame thread
17 to 6 Pack

Re: Packers pregame thread
Another L in front to 50,000 fans. We were exposed last week. Crowd the line, stuff AP and dare Mr Checkdown and our average wr's to win. Seriously is anyone scared of our wr's? We need to go w/ more 2 te sets. Putting 3 wr's on the field is not good for us.

Hard for me to argue this at the moment. We also have to prove to ourselves again that we can protect Smith. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
We bounce back
Skins 33 Green Gay 28 |
Re: Packers pregame thread
I have no idea how this game will go. I hope we win but won't be shocked by a loss. Even a blowout loss
|
Re: Packers pregame thread
42-24 Skins!
JD goes for 3tds and 200 yards. |
Packers pregame thread
If the game was on TV I would watch. No way I am gonna go out and spend money to watch what I watched last week. Can’t believe Im at this point in week 3. SAD!
Pack 30 Skins 13 |
Re: Packers pregame thread
If there was ever a game we needed Preston and Kerrigan to bring it, this would be the one.
If we get 4+ team sacks we win, otherwise, its another home loss. I'll bet on our guys. 24-17 Good Guys. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
If we knock out Rodgers on his first attempt and Kizer plays then maybe we have a chance, otherwise I don’t think the game will be close
|
Re: Packers pregame thread
The Skins play better but its not enough.
GB 27 WAS 14 |
Re: Packers pregame thread
If we can't score 20+ on this packers defense it's going to be a long yr
|
Re: Packers pregame thread
This is going to be a tough one. Green Bay should have won last week and Minny got bailed out by a questionable roughing the passer call.
I just hope that game took a lot out of GB and we can take advantage of that. My biggest gripe with the team is that they went away from running the ball and trying to control the clock. We don't need quick scores on this game, we need long drives that end with a TD. The best way to beat GB is to keep Rodgers on the bench. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
27-19 Packers.

Already feels like week 10. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
Sucks to have a bye coming up already, would be nice to go into it 2-1 and feeling good.
I say the D carries this one and we get just enough on offense. Skins 20 GB 17 |
Re: Packers pregame thread
I have to predict a loss. As much as I don't want to. But this is Aaron Rodgers we're talking about.
27-23 Packers |

27-23 Packers
I think you should do a discount-double-check of your prediction. HTTR! |
Re: Packers pregame thread
I will be shocked if we win this game. The way we played last week was very disheartening for me. I could hardly believe we could come out so flat in our home opener that we were beaten just about every way a team can be beaten by such a mediocre team. So now we're supposed to beat a better team with the great Aaron Rodgers at QB? Nope. I just can't envision that happening.
|
Re: Packers pregame thread
Rodgers with limited mobility can definitely work in our favor, we need the pass rush to wake up this week

It was very disheartening. But the NFL is week to week, and we've seen Jay's teams get slapped in the face and then go on a streak. I'm trying to maintain the long view here, and as much as last week was a disappointment, it's amazing how each game is its own entity. That said, it really is all about Rodgers. We've got to be absolutely perfect to beat him, that's the only way. |

I'm staring to think the players don't really view it as a "HOME" Game |
Re: Packers pregame thread
Do you think us Warpathers could successfully create a gofundmepage for approximately 1.5 billion dollars for RFK 2.0 Stadium?

New stadium will not change the fan apathy towards the franchise right now. That statement was just made last weekend. I heard the ratings in the dc and Richmond markets weren’t very good either. |

I would rather raise 1.5 billion and buy the franchise away from Daniel Snyder. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
Erin Rodgers is the only real threat on the entire team. If you take him out of the equation The FudgePackers are average at best. And that's being generous. Their defense is subpar and The Redskins offense (when it shows up) can shred them like a pulled pork sandwich. For once Smith's check down ball; control style will be just what the doctor ordered. Control the ball with short passing and attack their rookie corners, which Alex as ten plus year veteran should have a field day with and a win will right this ship and give us some breathing room going forward.

If Erin Rodgers is half the threat as Aaron Rodger is, we're in trouble! |

If Snyder wasn't in charge anymore and a real owner was running the show I would gladly watch our guys play in a backyard. And Metalskin Erin was not a typo and I stand by what I say. ERIN is dangerous but he is just one man. Football is a team sport. |
Re: Packers pregame thread
Paul Richardson had MRI on his knee but came back clear
Sounds like Shawn Lauvao could miss some time. Gruden said he’s day to day but not IR bound looks like LG is an even bigger issue now lol it's laughable |

Re: Packers pregame thread
Really don't know what to expect. I could see a blow out going either way.
I don't see it as a low scoring game: their D is bad. Their offense ranks lower than us in yards/game, and that's with a game going to overtime. (Not playing the same defenses but hey, I'll take a sip of kool aid after last week's game...) I'll go ahead and predict a 31 - 27 win. |

I don’t see anyway the skins win ... sorry but this team is broke .. GB. 31. Skins 14

Re: Packers pregame thread
I think we are playing them (packers) at a pretty good time. we are relatively healthy and they aren't. Rogers not being as mobile is a big plus for us. But, given how Green Bay runs crossing routes out the ass, and we can't seem to figure that out - Adams and Cobb could have a big day. and they dont need to run the ball - they run those little quick outs and dump offs as their run game.
Offensively - We need to run the damn ball. Gruden can't freaking panic (as he always does) if we are down a couple scores. Feed AP and Perine. Make them pull the safeties up - because I can be certain that every team will see what the colts did and try to use that |
