Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
Almost 2 hours after the game is over and no postgame thread? Apathy must be at an all-time high with this franchise.
Things to like: My goals for the game were to score a touchdown, and see some positive action out of Guice/Haskins/Terry. All delivered, even though it all happened after the game was well out of hand. Maybe next week we can shoot for a competitive game. Haskins made some plays, (again, all after the game was well out of hand) and the big glaring mistake was the pick but other than that I felt the L was on the offense as a whole instead of one guy. The thing I'd like to see Haskins do next week is make the read and get the ball out quicker. He still has a long way to go, in terms of pre-snap diagnosis, interpreting the blitz correctly, making a quick read and getting the ball out quicker but hopefully that will come in time. Until then expect teams to challenge him like Gregggg did today. Not to make excuses but he's also working with a lot of raw talent at wide receiver, no talent at TE, and an offensive line that looks terrible right now (which is why he was yelling at them in the game today). In the majority of cases it's up to the other 10 guys to make a qb look good. No need to say words about the defense, they're all trash, coaches included, and I think our best bet is hoping a new coach next year will know how to teach them and how to use them. It's time for some old heads to find new homes too. Glad team MVP Tress Way was ok, I got scared when that defender fell into his leg. |

That's the kind of shit that makes them sandbag him since the season is already lost. On one hand i tip my hat to him for having the balls to do that, but i also realize how stupid it is and it probably won't win him many fans amongst his team mates. |

I didn't know you have to be in the league long enough to earn the right to call out your teammates in private. You can put some of the blame on Haskins, but everyone else is playing like shit too. And honestly since they played somewhat better afterward I don't think it was a bad call. Also was it just me or did I hear a faint "sell the team" chant going in the 4th quarter? It was hard to hear but it definitely sounded like it. Edit: I knew it! https://twitter.com/jimbrady/status/1196145088612704256 |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
Leave Harmon and Terry on the field together the rest of the year. Put Quinn sorry ass on the bench and replace him with P Rich.
Guice needs to play over AP. This defense effort was terrible all day. I don’t think Haskins was terrible but the coaching was... |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
This coaching staff is incompetent. Hard to fault any players for their poor performance.
Kevin O’Connell doesn’t add any creativity or skill to this Offense. Manusky is Manusky. Jets are worst in the NFL in 3&outs, today they only had one. No injuries on D yet they are so bad. |

No question Snyder and his bitch heard it. |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
I would suspect that it's hard for these guys to get up to play a game at home when the stadium is always filled with the other teams fans. They're professionals but when your home stadium is cheering for the other team, plus you suck anyways, plus your coaching is the worst in the league, it's not going to turn out well. We don't have any leadership. The Jets suck but those guys on their defense were playing hard. Our defense played like they didn't care, that's coaching. Gregg Williams demands respect and motivates, Manusky doesn't and can't.

Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
The 1st half was the most embarrassing fucking display of football I've ever seen out of this team. And that is a mighty tall mountain to climb to get to the top. The 3rd quarter sucked too, but I left the bar and went home at halftime and didn't watch. This is what Dan has built. What a piece of shit human and owner.

Positives:
Guice McLaurin Score 2 TD’s (sad, but true to get excited about this) After Haskins threw his int. He came back, played better and threw 2 TD’s. I’ll give him till the end of the season before I call him a total bust. |

Unless there is more we didn't see there (like Haskins being an ass earlier), that is inexcusable. Say what you have to say, but say something. Those guys look like whiny babies in that video. They played like crap and don't seem to care. |

Besides the bad snaps, we don't have a clue how they played as a unit. Remember how the oline was going to get Robert killed because they were so terrible? Polumbus and Chester left here and both started in super bowls. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
funny enough, Jays offense was better
|
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
How would Bill Belichick handle this team?? Seriously what would he do .. if he were hired as the head coach and had all the say in personnel who would he keep and get rid of.. I’m not sure he would go with a rookie QB but I would like to here your opinion ..

That’s cause Callahan is obsessed with AP, start Guice liked what I saw today. AP’s best days are behind and should come out of the bench. |

The great news is, Chase young is looking more and more likely. And if not him then trade for more picks

Just did the A22
Never seen so many busted plays from a secondary, seriously it was that bad. Haskins bomb to Terry was one of the best throws all year, he moved around well again today and made plays. He will be good |

Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
There's no accountability so the players don't fear for their jobs. People can say what they want but I would hire Gregg Williams so fucking fast. This is the most unmotivated undisciplined team I have ever seen.

We made their no name TE yesterday look like Travis Kelce. And on the other side we literally play with no TE because of complete roster mismanagement, yet we pay 16 million per year for zero production. Welfare ass bullshit. |

What’s with the Gregg Williams obsession? He’s a decent DC and that’s it. I guarantee you if they hire him that Jeff Fisher comes along. No thanks!! |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
We did not watch a football game yesterday. We witnessed the on-field result of what this tortured organization has become under the toxic reign of Mister Snyder.

Cause he may be one of the few guys who can work with the bullshit at Redskin Park. Who is coming to work here that can also deal w/ Dan and Dickface? Maybe Williams, Marvin Lewis, maybe Bowles. They only work w/ guys that they know. They would never hire anyone outside the box like Flores, or the DC on the 49ers. |

Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
2 - Ryan Kerrigan sacks. From the 1st snap when he pushed the RT back you could tell he had a good matchup.
5 - receptions for Harmon on 6 targets 45 - yards on that nice catch and run by Guice, he showed speed and an open field move. ---------------- -10 - negative 10 yards on skins 1st scoring drive 1 - tackle and QB pressure for Montez Sweat on 36 snaps I heard some stats on Grant and Danny that I hopefully get right. 9 game home losing streak, 5 by more than 3 possessions, 1 by single digits (SF rain game?). That is brutal. -------------------------- At one point yesterday, did we bench Norman, Moreau and Dunbar at the same time? |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
I loved seeing the kid over there talking to his linemen, hell this team NEVER SAYS ANYTHING ON THE SIDELINES,somebody needs to start screaming or something to get this sorry bunch off their asses and some effort put forth..pitiful.

The JETS defense was awesome yesterday, they were moving around like crazy. I miss GW as a D.C. Haskins played well and his throws on the run are very encouraging |
Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
The film was as bad as the game live, this defense is so garbage and IDK how?? The DL was solid but nothing special, Sweat has been awful... Hopefully he gets better, Kerrigan is not much better TBH.

Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
Manusky is the worst coordinator in the league, regardless of offense or defense. So whoever we go up against, they will have a better gameplan than us. The defense has no chance unless they can individually make game changing plays, which they can't. Plus our LBs are terrible. They just get swallowed up in the run game. And Norman and Nicholson suck. Terrible DC and a bunch of bad players. Feel bad for the good players.

Re: Jets fly-by the Skins Postgame Thread
32nd ranked offense in a league of 32 came into Fed Ex after, after we had a bye week to prepare, and went 7 plays 75 yards for a TD on their opening drive. We didnt even force them into a 3rd down.
Last game, didnt our opponent not have to punt a single time all game or something truly baffling. |

Kinda reminded me of this bit:
How bad does the Jets offense have to be to STILL be 32nd to a team that hadnt scored scored a touchdown in 4 games and you just put over 400 yards on? A quarter of a season of no touchdowns .... and the Jets offense is worse than that? Thats like we are in a race across America and one team drives 1/5 of the way in the wrong direction and your still losing to them. |

I know we have some skilled players on defense , so I’m blaming the defensive coaches for not using them properly, starting players that shouldn’t be playing (Norman, Nicholson). Make players accountable and bench their asses if they fuck up, but they don’t. |
