I was wondering what Redskin had a nickname of hamburger, the closest thing I could think of was pot roast. I even tried googling. Then the mystery was solved, the "m" needs to be an "n".

I would say Baugh, Gibbs, Bobby Mitchell, and Sonny.

In truth, we need more than four images on our Mount Rushmore. I wouldn't feel right about leaving out John Riggins, Darrell Green, Sean Taylor, Art Monk, and George Allen.

Great post. While I'm aware how great Baugh was, and I'm sure he'd be on the organizations Mt Rushmore for sure, but I never saw him play. So MY 4 would be Gibbs, Riggins, Theismann, and Green.

I'd go with Gibbs, Baugh, Green, and Sean Taylor.

Gibbs - duh

Baugh - I read an article on him a couple years ago that really put his greatness in perspective for the era he played in. It's not [URL="http://www.espn.com/sportscentury/features/00014080.html"]this one[/URL] but this was the closest I could find to it. He was putting up numbers back then that would be impressive today. Overall, he's probably the best player ever in Redskins history.

Green - I only got to see his last couple of seasons, and back then I didn't even understand football that well. But the longevity and the standard he set every year will be hard to duplicate.

Sean Taylor - I had to include somebody from my generation, and he's the obvious pick. 2006 notwithstanding (which was a bad year for the defense in general) 04, 05, and his legit All-Pro half a season in 2007 (which I think probably stood our best chance at securing a first team All-Pro in the last 20 years) he was the best player on our team. His physical attributes were off the charts, and in 2007 when it all clicked mentally I firmly believed we were witnessing his ascension in the Reeds/Polamalu's of the time. Watch Greg Williams marvel at his 2 pick game against Brett Favre (one of which he had to cover so much ground nobody even thought it would be a pick), hell, go back to his rookie season denying Randy Moss on a deep jump ball (how many guys could do that?) and tell me I'm crazy. My favorite player to ever put on a Redskins uni, and he definitely deserves a spot on my Redskins Mt. Rushmore.

So I think another question to ask is to list one or a few of your favorite players that would never make the Mt Rushmore, or maybe not even the Redskins Ring of Honor...for your own personal reasons...and mine would be Santana Moss...just always loved that dude's play and heart...especially in his early years with us.

Cooke,Gibbs,Petitbon,Bugel... with that owner letting Gibbs captain the ship and having Bugel overseeing the Hogs and Petitbon heading up that D .. it would be hard not to win a lot of games with that chemistry.. they took players that some thought were done and had a way to get them to play there best .. To me the glory days were more about the team system and redskins way more than any single player.. but if we are talking players only it’s easy .. Baugh,sonny,green,monk

Don't bother to sculpt a Redskins Mount Rushmore without including Bobby Mitchell. Not only is he a HOF'er but he broke the color barrier on the Redskins with courage, class, dignity, and love. He meant so much to the Redskins team, the community, the nation, and me. He was a very special man. If he doesn't belong then nobody does.

I chose to leave out management and coaches in my Mt Shitmore. RG3 did give me that unbelievable season which removes him from mountains of shit.

I assume that Haynesworth would be a unanimous pick as he is a monumental POS.

Despite his many egregious faults, there is still a chance for Danny to redeem himself going forward, so I'm not sure he should be there.

George Preston Marshall should be considered for a spot because he was such a racist that he would rather lose than to have any black players on his team. He was also the last NFL team owner to integrate his team despite it being located in the Nation's Capital which, to me, is an unforgivable disgrace.

I have to cut RG3 some slack. Not only did he have the one great season, but there were a lot of contributing factors to his quick demise that weren't entirely his fault.
