Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
#Redskins WR Kelvin Harmon tore his ACL while training prior to camp, sources say. The promising former sixth rounder, who had 30 catches for 365 yards last season as a rookie, now has eyes on 2021.
New offseason , New name , New logo, SAME INJURY ISSUES Yikes |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
That's horrible. He was primed for a big year.
Saw him make an incredible diving, one-handed catch in person last year vs. the Lions. The good news is, we're pretty deep at WR with all of the draft picks. We still wouldn't need Latimer. Gandy-Golden now a starter? Of course, there may not even be a 2020 season so he could come back healthy "next season" anyways...so the timing could be beneficial to him if he was going to get hurt. |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Antonio Brown is available. :insane:
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Damn, I was really looking forward to seeing Harmon taking a next step this fall..
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Of course.
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
I'd call AB, I mean seriously why not? If he's a clown just cut him but I know he and Haskins are very close
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
I don’t want AB...that guy needs help
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Sucks for Harmon. I hate seeing the young guys going into a make or break year get hurt. He may never get a legit shot again.
Im also a no for AB. We arent entering a "win now" year and with all the stuff going on, the last thing we need is AB to AB and then have our young QB perhaps take his side or be drawn into the drama. 2020 - play the young guys, do your best to avoid serious injuries 2021 - draft well, sign some impact FAs at positions of need ... make the damn playoffs. |

we need help lol |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Fuck AB. We're at best a .500 team this year so go with what we've got.
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Put AB on a short leash. I think Riviera is a disciplinarian and can handle him...if not, leave.
Brown has to know he's running out of chances if he hasn't already run out. We'd then end up with 3 Antonios on the field on offense. :D |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Yeah roll with what we have. Let AGG try his hand at it and use Antonio Gibson creatively as a receiver in as many ways as possible.
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Yep. Run Gibson on WR sweeps, or put him in the backfield with AP/Guice.

Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
I’m sorry...but I just have to say....what the fuck. It just pisses me off to no living end. How in the hell did this happen? Dude. Fuck this injury shit to maybe our most vulnerable positions. Man I wanted to see if Harmon could step up
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
There has been multiple reports of bad news coming this week from insiders and Julie Donaldson is saying this isn't the news... This team is always drama man

I feel bad for Harmon, but this conversation is the worst part of all this. I've already seen one article that's basically pining for Rivera to reverse course on AB. Not in the "how could he help the team" sense, more in the "just imagine the headlines if he signs" sense. |

they cut him because of the report of his domestic violence that nothing really materialized |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Isn't AB likely to miss some substantial game time in 2020?

How long you been watching football and you still prioritize talent over everything else? How many times have we been burnt? We are not a model of stability. We don't have an environment conducive to making talented yet troubled players excel. |

Yeah definitely pass on AB. I'm fine with going with what we got, and would rather give a chance to Josh Gordon (now that the NFL weed policy seemingly has been loosened up) than sign mister locker room cancer joker AB. |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Harmon tweets from his hospital bed...people replies with wolves. :D

And how media's hyping up Josh Gordon rumors.

Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Gordon is apparently close with the Turners so maybe it happens

Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Josh Gordon just feels like Terrell Pryor 2.0.
I think he is the wrong kind of vet to bring in. |

Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Fuck it. Sign Brown and Gordon. Leggggo wild in 2020.
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
U guys would sign a guy who will pop for drugs over a guy who has never been in trouble for it? I say sign AB first
|
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
I'd take Gordon all day over a nut job like AB.

I'm shocked he hasn't been banned for life yet though. I truly feel sorry for Gordon's addiction issues, but how many chances does one guy deserve? I pick him up on my fantasy team every year as a sleeper...and every year...nothing. If he were clean, he'd probably be the top WR in the NFL, maybe only Julio Jones and Hopkins could be better.
U guys would sign a guy who will pop for drugs over a guy who has never been in trouble for it? I say sign AB first
I'm afraid Brown is going to murder someone someday. They're both HUGE risks with potentially huge reward.
Josh Gordon just feels like Terrell Pryor 2.0. I think he is the wrong kind of vet to bring in.
Pryor didn't take talent though. But you're right, probably similar results. |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
WR FA's:
Antonio Brown, Patriots Taylor Gabriel, Bears Chester Rogers, Colts Paul Richardson, Redskins Josh Gordon, Seahawks Chris Hogan, Panthers Tavon Austin, Cowboys Demaryius Thomas, Jets Ryan Grant, Packers Justin Hardy, Falcons Dwayne Harris, Raiders Jaron Brown, Seahawks Jarius Wright, Panthers Jordan Matthews, 49ers Russell Shepard, Giants Dontrelle Inman, Colts Jermaine Kearse, Lions Johnny Holton, Steelers |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
I just don't see paying AB when he is likely to be suspended for a large chunk of the season.

From what I understood, the guy is smoking weed. I don't. But as long as it doesn't interfere with his availability and performance, I don't care. And if it does you cut him, he wouldn't be expensive after all those second chances he got anyway. Difference with AB is Gordon wouldn't be much of a distraction IMO. |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
Taking a flier on Gordon wouldn’t be a terrible idea simply because he doesn’t seem like a team wrecker like AB.
That speed on the outside would be something Harmon could have never supplied and would be a major issue for d coordinators. I don’t care about the weed stuff at this point unless he smoking schwag. That would be unacceptable in my book. Give Gordon a call and workout. |
Re: Harmon is the latest to get bit by the injury bug.
AB and Haskins work out together all the time, I am willing to bet Dwayne has put in a good word or 2.. It seems like AB is all about business again. I Like Gordon too so really it's a why not to either in my opinion
