I see what you’re saying, he was as brittle as they come. And he gave us nothing over two years so we’re not losing much at this point. I’ll stand by my statement that the talent was evident when he made it on the field. Unfortunately he never did. Good riddance. I like the quickness of the release as well.

Having said that .... when a door closes, another door opens. I can't help but think this could mean a better opportunity for Bryce Love. I've always been excited to see what he could do. There's more of a chance for him to show that now.

According to the victim there were 3 separate incidents in February, March, and April. Not gonna judge him prematurely but this is a terrible look for someone still trying to prove himself. Hope the victim is ok. As for the team, next man up.

I am not sure how I feel about this. When he played, he showed the ability to be a game breaker. However, he has been injured for the better part of 2 years. I don't think he has even amassed enough time on the field to equal one game.

We saw the same thing from Jorden Reed the last few years, great ability but always hurt giving the team nothing in return for the money. I have often wondered if Reed was really hurt or if he just figured out that he still got paid for doing nothing by faking an injury.

The Redskins have enough talent at running back that Guice will not be missed.
The quick cut also sends a message that the franchise has changed and such conduct will not be tolerated. Let's hope the team takes notice of the change.

Charged with one count strangulation and three counts assault and battery. With that, he won’t make it off the commissioner’s exempt list this year anyway. And if the charges aren’t dropped, he’ll be in jail anyway in all likelihood.

As disappointing as it is to hear this because he showed a lot of ‘wow’, with the legal reality being that he ain’t playing anytime soon anyhow, releasing him immediately is a great and necessary move.

We’re the franchise that sexually harassed 15 female staffers, if anybody has to have a zero tolerance policy on women’s issues, it’s us.

And above all, this is just the right thing, and when you’re setting a culture you need no other reason. Good job Ron.

Big Bryce Love fan - seen him play at Stanford and CMC too, and there were lots of similarities. Hope he’s fully healthy and ready to go.

i traded him in my madden franchise league. I do that with all players that have questionable (although it is definitely not questionable in this case). Bryce Love is the starter in my league (year 2)

In any case Ron had not choice whatsoever but to cut him. Glad they did it right away and it sends a message to the team that this type of behavior won't be tolerated

If this is in fact true then good bye and good riddance. Guice was one of my favorite players with so much talent. He was very personable and the kind of guy you can latch on to. But we don't know these guys behind closed doors.

Men who beat women, or abuse a child or animal are the scum of the earth as far as I'm concerned. I have no respect for people like this. We all know we have a couple more on this team that are guilty of this but that has already been discussed.

The fact Bryce Love is not starting on the pup list and Guice now gone and possibly heading to jail....this is a huge opportunity. Gibson to me is still not your starting RB, but your Half back role who will get touches out the backfield.

Can Love step up?[/quote]I sure hope. He was a stud when healthy. I just have a feeling that it will be the Adrian Peterson show. Gibson will play a big role, but I almost prefer him at receiver. I think Peyton Barber will get a look and would not be surprised if we pick up another back now especially if Love is not 100%.

This is a huge opportunity for Love and McKissic. Very eager to see what they can do.

I imagine she was terrified or was thinking he wouldn’t do it again...or she could work thru it, especially if she witness abuse before in a family or been a victim.

What's weird to me is how quick it went from 0-100. For 2 years we didn't hear anything except positive stories, when he was a rookie he was talking about "the Redskins took a chance on me and I'm gonna do everything I can to prove them right" then after all the injury setbacks it was nothing but positive talk about working hard to come back and prove himself. Now it's felony strangulation and back-to-back-to-back domestic violence incidents. Really shows how we only see what they want us to see.

Innocent until proven guilty civally.

But absolutely no way Rivera and Co. could keep him on the team.

I hope he is innocent. And if he's guilty I pray for him that whenever the last time was, that that is the last time ever and he lives a life after prison that contributes to society. He seems like such a good dude, and his life story is sad. Not an excuse if guilty, but I hope he gets the help he needs.
