What a mess Philly has gotten themselves into. I kinda hope Jalen has about the same success that Wentz has had so far this season, but my guess is he is going to elevate that team's play over the last four games. Wentz, under normal circumstances would be done in Philly, but with that contract, and his performance this year...who is going to take that on? |

I feel like I've seen this before in NY with the Giants. Wentz isn't bad .........., yes he is playing bad but the Eagles have been decimated with injuries almost from day one and Jalen hasn't take the hits Wentz has . I know it's strange because of Foles but maybe the Bears could use him. |

Agree. No way would I give up on wentz. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
Indy makes sense in some ways. They will almost certainly move on from Rivers and Brissett, and reuniting with Reich could rejuvenate Wentz. But yeah, that contract. Only way I could see that working out was if they and Wentz voided it and maybe paid back some signing bonus, but I don't see him that desperate to get out of town.

They were done with him when they took Hurts

Why, because of performance, injury..? So you think they gave him that massive contract extension, barely over a year ago, and then decided they had seen enough by the 2020 draft? |

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Wentz counts for $60 million in cap space IF THEY CUT HIM, with a $40 million cap hit next year!
I hope no one wants him. Philly will be in cap hell. Despite poor play at quarterback this season, the Philadelphia Eagles likely won't release Carson Wentz due to the $60 million in dead cap that would occur this offseason, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network explained: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2921144-rapoport-impossible-for-eagles-to-cut-carson-wentz-with-60m-cap-hit-in-2021
Rapoport: 'Impossible' for Eagles to Cut Carson Wentz with $60M Cap Hit in 2021 "They basically can't do it. It is almost impossible to move on from Carson Wentz," Rapoport said. "They have no choice." Wentz signed a four-year, $128 million extension with the Eagles that could keep him under contract through the 2024 season. He has struggled mightily in 2020, however, throwing a league-high 15 interceptions while the team has gone just 3-7-1 in his starts. His 231 passing yards per game would also be a career low for the 27-year-old. The money owed to Wentz likely plays a role, with the starter making $39.4 million in 2020 and $25.4 million in 2021, per Spotrac. The team would have $59.2 million in dead cap if he is released after the season, although the number drops to $24.5 million after the 2021 campaign.
|

I think Hurts was brought in as insurance because of the injury history, but I have to believe that they weren't expecting Wentz to fold like a lounge chair this season. Hurts was drafted only 9 months after they gave Wentz that huge payday... Who knew his psyche was so fragile. I think it's 100% mental at this point. |

Could be out for our matchup with the Panthers. |
100.

If you can get him on the cheap, I think Washington would be a good place to give him a second shot. I mean the guy had 2 MVPish seasons to start his career... We can question some decision making, but our coaching staff is proving to be a good players motivating staff, so I say why not bring him in and make him compete with Alex ? I don't think he has work ethic issue, he just looks scared and stressed out of his talent. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
Ok. I'm officially scoreboard watching from here on out, until I don't have a reason to. Since it's the Christmas season, here's my wish list for week 14.
Wins by: Arizona -1.5 New Orleans -7 Tampa Bay -6.5 Houston -1 Green Bay -7.5 Washington (of course) +3 They are all favored with the exception of Washington. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
Rams (8-4) vs Pats (6-6)
Good game tonight |

He's already proven he can play at the highest level physically, and it's not like he had an injury that would change his playing style. If Philly wants us to take Wentz and their first round pick (we need compensation for that contract) in exchange for our 7th or 6th, I'll do it. |

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Goff is heading down the Wentz Path. Also has a lot of money owed to him. McVay already called him out this past week.

Cam Akers is a stud. I watched basically every game he ever played at FSU. We had a bottom 5 OL in the Power 5 and probably a bottom 15 in all of D1 football. And he still killed it. This game was what I knew he was capable of. Go Noles! |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
On a separate note, how awesome is Tress Way? https://twitter.com/john_keim/status/1337364940814999554?cn=ZmxleGlibGVfcmVjcw%3D%3D&refsrc=email
Seriously, he's such a breath of fresh air, not to mention a phenomenal punter. I hope he plays for us for a long time. |

I think after this year he retires. He’s not a good passer. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
So far the Giants look like they’re back to their 1-7 style of play.
If Washington can come out and win today we have a good shot of taking this division. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
So far so good with Cardinals. Wish they had gotten a few more points they were down close a couple times and settled for fg’s. But ill take 13-0 at the half.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
20-0, Cardinals.
If the Bengals would stop shooting themselves in the foot then they'd be in a much different game versus Dallas. Regardless, I'm happy with the former score more than anything. |
Re: Around the NFL week 14
We have to play the opposite of what the giants are doing today
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
C'mon, Cards! Don't screw this up. It's about to be 20-7, Cardinals.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
Chiefs are unreal. They put up points so easily.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
This is a big, defensive possession coming up for the Cardinals.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
23-7. 11 minutes to go. Looking great.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 14
Dan Bailey is laying the biggest egg ever. 0-3 missed FGs and 0-1 XPA. And they have not allowed him to even try 1 of the XPA's or a FG that is an automatic decision 99% of t he time. He's cut.

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Ok so the Skins will be in sole possession of first place and the drivers seat if they win! Thank you Cardinals. FU Vagiants

Pick plays are such trash. I hate them. I know we do them too. It's just a general play I loathe.

+1 I believe Bill Walsh was the pioneer of it in the 80's. |
