Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
I'll lead with this:
https://twitter.com/johnson80/status/1349084500840640518 Andre Johnson ripping the Texans a new asshole on Twitter. You love to see it. Anybody care to have a discussion about Jack Easterby? He seems to be the Texans version of Vinny Cerrato. Mans was basically a preacher and now he's running football ops for the Texans. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
How many picks? 🤔😁

Seahawks let Brian Schottenheimer walk. Didn't see that coming, although after reading up on it it doesn't seem that surprising because the Seahawks offense kinda fell off in the second half of the season. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Arguably the Seahawks O has dropped off because they haven't invested in their OL. Just look at the Rams game; Wilson does well on the move, but not when that's virtually every oass play. But if play calling isn't mitigating that then I guess the OC comes under the spotlight.

LOL Bill B. is a cold-hearted son of a bitch. Gronk says he retired a couple years ago because Belichick was trying to trade him to the Lions. |

Sources: the Jaguars and ex-Ohio State and Florida coach Urban Meyer are working out a deal to make Meyer the team's HC. Much of the negotiation has been over facilities upgrades and staffing. Meyer's gotten assurances in those areas. Talks have been ongoing for over a month. |

The Jags could have done much better in my opinion. He was bound to get an NFL job if he wanted one, but I too don't see it working out well. We'll see. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
The Eagles are interviewing Kellen Moore per NFLN

He leaves programs when he knows they will be down... Did it after Tebow in FLA. |

Ohio State is down? |

It wasn't looking great until Fields transferred |

He has a tendency to leave when the going gets tough. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Rooting for the Browns!
Keep it rolling, Cleveland deserves it. |

I love this. The Iggles are going to hire a coach and force Wentz on him. They are going to be a mess next season. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
If that's their plan I could see Jalen Hurts causing some locker room problems.
He's probably mad about being benched for Sudfeld already. |

no he retired after his NCAA recruiting violations. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Damn, Urban Meyer did it. Back in coaching, but in the NFL.
This will be interesting. Glad he's in the AFC, and I don't care 1 way or another about the Jags. Can watch this with unbiased glasses. College to NFL is always interesting. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Robert Saleh to coach Jets, good hire.

Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
It sounds like the Texans are the new Redskins...it's a circus down there. If I were Bieniemy I wouldn't want that job - after they were the only team with a HC vacancy that didn't have him on their list until Watson called them out...

+1 If I'm Watson or Watt I want out too. Sounds like Cal McNair and Jack Easterby are doing their best Danny/Vinny impersonations. |

After the 12/mil a year rumors I'm curious to see how much he got too. All I know is he's got a hell of a start with the chosen boy Trevor at qb. It's a big poker chip to start with. |

All I know is he's got a hell of a start with the chosen boy Trevor at qb. It's a big poker chip to start with.
Agreed. And he wouldn't have taken the job without this chip imo. He is starting out with the safest QB bet since Andrew Luck. If Jags were picking at 19, he would still be on Fox in 2021. Good for him though. His track record has allowed him to be picky as fuck. |

If I were him I'd want the Chargers, Lions or Falcons job in that order before Texans. Yes you have Watson (or do you?...), but otherwise they are a bit mess and especially the FO. |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
I really like this coaching pick by the Falcons, Arthur Smith son of Fedex Fred Smith started as an intern in Washington, brought in by Joe Gibbs. This guy is a pretty good offensive mind.

Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Moose Johnston is channeling his inner Cab Callaway as he's sporting a similar suit.
|
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Damn Lamar...love u man, but you can’t throw ints in the red zone...in the playoffs
|
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
Lamar is not a passer, and it's painfully obvious in the playoffs
|

First INT of his career in the red zone. 41 red zone TDs prior. Then he got lit up. 😬 |

And your in a system where it will never grow you as a passer. Greg Roman system is limited |
Re: Around the NFL: Divisional Round edition
The energy Allen and Diggs have is awesome.. We need a franchise QB so bad

Honestly, I'd rather go with Heinicke before trading for Hurts. |

The games sucked yesterday.

I just read a report that said Saleh thinks he has untapped potential (AKA Adam Gase is butt cheeks) so I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept him. |
