Ron's gonna take that game film and treat it like sheets with a bed bug infestation. Burn it - it's the only way to be sure that can never see the light of day again.

Positives: Well - that kick looked like an executed design and it worked well.

Shoutout to AG24 for that screen pass td - way to go super mario bro.

Negatives: Literally everything else.

Somebody surprise me with some positivity in this world of pain.

I'll start with positives.

This was week 3 - we still have 14 weeks left to correct the issues.

The big issue to me at least - is JDR's reluctance to get creative because his base 4 aren't getting pressure on the qb this season.

If you aren't getting pressure with your base 4 you have to get creative. Different looks, disguises, blitzes. Seems his basic move is to just rush 4 - drop Bostic and Holcomb in coverage.

The season is not a lost cause - but it's clear we can't rely on Heinicke to dig us out of a hole that our D puts us in.

Positives: Haha Giants. Thanks for keeping the cellar door closed so we couldn't crawl in with you guys.

Negatives: The owner sucks cocks in hell. The coaches suck. The offense sucks. The defense sucks. The plumbing sucks. The whole thing sucks.

Fine lets keep it open and get down to it…..

We have no quarterback - TH is a good backup.

Our offensive line is a little less than mediocre on a good day.

Our wr corp is somehow back to one person.

Gibson is good but we still cannot get a rungame going because we are always way behind and need to throw.

Hopkins made a nice recovery - awesome- he still sucks at fg’s.

Scott Turner would be working at Target if his dad wasn’t Norv.

JDR is at this point worse than Joe Barry was.

RR is simply a jag.

Chase Young is probably not the next LT.

Montez Sweat is probably not the next Chase Young.

Our secondary makes me want to vomit, eat it, and vomit again.

Holcomb and Bostic are possibly the two worst linebackers ive ever seen in coverage in my life.

Did I miss anything?

Myles Garrett had 5 sacks today in 1 game! CY and Sweat won’t hit 5 combined the way it’s looking. What a disappointment those 2 have been. But it’s not a surprise, we could have Tom Brady and still suck. This franchise is cursed

Well at least Scherff didn't pull a Frerotte right?

Also Jamin Davis really made a nice play on that early 4th down - getting around the guy setting the screen and making the tackle to prevent a first down.

I find it a little hilarious they were talking about breaking sack records this season before it started.

Uh yeah slow your role buddy. How about 10 sacks each first? That's the baseline for a good DE.

Yeah well Frerotte managed a tie game. Lol. Davis seems to be a keeper at this point. Everything i said i stand by though. World of hurt this team is in (say in a yoda voice).

Mooby I know you are staying positive and it is only week 3, and that is … well it is commendable and I don’t know how you are doing it.
But look at it like this, our post game positives are now that a member of the team did not headbutt a wall and concuss himself and we are giving props to individual plays because we can’t find a player who deserves props for a game performance. We are one lucky ass play from being 0-3, and if you look at our schedule 5 wins is real hard to come by. Maybe Atlanta? Maybe several players from another opponent miss our game? Maybe we split with the nfc east - which means two more wins there? This team has gone nowhere so far with this new staff. As a matter of fact it has more talent than the last one and is arguably worse right now.

They didn't. Neither did JDR. And frankly, a lot of the players just suck. And if you suck, it's hard to execute your asaignment, because you suck.

I thought it was the coaches job to make sure they learn the lesson, not just throwing the same guys out in the same system and "hope" they learn. If they aren't learning they should be benched.

Yeah the constant lack of execution means your players are not good enough to do what you are asking them to do. For example, our LB's can not cover because they are simply not capable of doing it. Chase can not sack or pressure the QB because the tackle he is going against is better. These are the reasons you can not execute on defense Ron.

Not just new coaches, but innovative, detail orientated, hungry new coaches would be enough. Problem is how do you get them here to play for this owner? Everyone likes shiny new pieces, trade our young studs now for an outrageous amount of picks spread out over 3-4 years and let the right guy coach up the right pieces. You aren’t going to get much more than you have seen from this current staff and wtf good is CY, scary Terry, payne, allen if we continue to underwhelm? By the time they fire RR these guys wont be spring chickens anymore. There is no easy answer because of our owner. We just aren’t going to get hot coaching candidates or stud free agents looking our way. We have to do something outrageous like sweeten the pot with a wealth of picks - trade the young studs now for more than ya got them for and do it before they wallow away into less then they are worth.

This isn’t really an overreaction- it is me trying look down the road and figure out how we get the staff in place to take us where we need to be.

I would call missed assignments and poor execution thee most major problem a defense could have….

It boils down to this team just isn’t good enough to compete with the top teams (chargers, Bills etc)

They will win here and there vs bad teams but the coaching staff has gotten destroyed in 2 of 3 games this season. On top of that, this roster just isn’t as talented as we all thought.

6-11 or 7-10 is very likely.

7-10 seems extremely ambitious at this point.
Id say we are not even good enough to compete with middle of the road teams. We are good enough To compete with other bad teams like the Giants. We are kicking nobody’s ass.

Are our linebackers a liability? For the most part, that is a 'yes.' But I've watched and coached a lot of football games, and to my naked eyes this all boils down to coaching for the most part.

I immediately noticed during the first game against the Chargers that JDR was being outschemed. Nothing has changed since Week 1. Hopefully, the Falcons don't exploit us next week.

It was nice to feel good about the team in the off season. But the truth is that Ron Rivera is not a winning coach. In the last 10 years, he has had 3 seasons in which his team won more games than it lost. I think we got sold the Brooklyn bridge....again. Oh well, another losing season coming up. God I am glad I was a fan during the first Gibbs tenure. At least I know what a good team looks like. This isn't it.
