Re: Around the NFL week 7
Per JP Finlay, it's not true.. And I hope he is right as I don't see Tua being a franchise QB..

Re: Around the NFL week 7
Tua is young, has some talent and my big concern are injuries, but I’m not opposed to giving him a shot as long as we aren’t moving a lot of assets for him
|
Re: Around the NFL week 7
Unless as a staff you really love Tua and think he's the future, why bother? At this rate we're heading towards a top 5-10 pick anyway. Wait until the offseason and target someone you really believe in.

I think this Washington interest in Tua is somebody's camp trying to affect whatever dealings are happening between Houston and Miami. |
Re: Around the NFL week 7
Pass.

Re: Around the NFL week 7
It's normal for multiple teams to be named as involved in a transaction like this. It's meant to drive up the price tag. I tend to believe JP, because as MTK said, it doesn't make a lot of sense at this point.
If they are going to make a move prior to the trade deadline, they ought to look at what they can do to improve that God awful D. Anyway, the fact that this doesn't make sense scares me, because that is exactly the type of move I expect this organization to make. |
Re: Around the NFL week 7
Excellent point by Andrew Brandt. As much as I would want Watson, the baggage he's bringing would be pretty insane.
@AndrewBrandt I cannot believe an NFL owner, in this current climate especially, would bring in Deshaun Watson and face his fan base with the lawsuits circling that player. No matter how "good" a trade deal they could get. |

Bringing Watson here be equal to lighting a match during a bon fire; we are all ready a burning pile of dog shit what is one more flame. At least it give us more to talk about. |

QB is a mission this off-season. I really think he wants a proven vet. Matt Ryan is my guess |

Ron better get someone in here that can play at a high level. If he doesn't have the guy in place by year 3 something is seriously wrong with the way he is building this team. |
Re: Around the NFL week 7
Tua's issue isn't his play, his issue is he's made of glass.. Hard pass unless its for like a 5th

Ron is not good at getting QB's, Cam was a cant miss guy so he had no choice. Who else has he had? Look at the list and u will be disappointed Other than Cam he's had.. Derek Anderson Kyle Allen Taylor Heineke Will Grier WOOF |

I mean the Dolphins aren't much better, but at least that's in Miami. |

Other than Cam he's had.. Derek Anderson Kyle Allen Taylor Heineke Will Grier WOOF
Well to be fair, Derek Anderson, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke, and Will Grier were all brought to Carolina to serve as #2 or #3 behind Cam. Neither was ever brought there to be "the guy". You can make the argument that they thought Grier might be their guy at some point, but there are hundreds of examples of Coaches and GMs taking a flier on a guy in the 3rd/4th round - and it doesn't work out. Kyle Allen was brought in here as insurance for Dwayne Haskins - again the #2. Heinicke was brought in here in an emergency situation, played well in the playoffs, and earned himself a contract to be the - you guessed it - #2. The one guy he ever brought in to be "the guy" was Cam. You can call Cam a can't miss guy, but history has proven that there really is no such thing. |

But they went to the Super Bowl, more than any coaching staff this team has had in a long time. |

Why do folks have to be so MEAN, we have really been trying to get better its not WF's fault. Geez. |

Yeah people blow over the fact they went to a SB and went 15-1 like that is so easy. He also had a 12 win and 11 win season there, we haven't had more than 10 wins in a season since 1991. Fact is we definitely out kicked our coverage in landing Rivera. |

He had one of the top QBs in the league and only managed 3 winning seasons when I bet people think he had 6 or 7 winning seasons. If anything Ron big time underachieved at Carolina. |
Re: Around the NFL week 7
15-1 was an awesome season, I don't know if we will ever see a 1 loss season in Wash

I want the team to go get Matt Ryan this off-season and then draft a guy mid round

No thanks. I'd rather go younger, and there are some intriguing younger options out there. If they are going to reset, I honestly wouldn't mind making a move for Trubisky if the price is right, and then draft a QB. At least Trubisky has been to the playoffs a couple times in the last few years. The biggest knock on him is that he was drafted before Mahomes and Watson - and he hasn't had the success those guys have had.... There are a lot of starting QBs in the league that can say that though. |

Case Keenum right down the field for 7. I swear we are the only team who never scores on the first drive.

Re: Around the NFL week 7
I’ll believe it when I see it
Definitely, I still think it's very unlikely. But to me it was a moot point if we were still waiting for the league/owners to do something based on this investigation, like if there was anything really bad that left them no other choice they would have acted already.
But if it becomes a more political issue that's a new parameter in the equation. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk |
