Commies lose to Titans postgame thread
 

Initial impressions:

On the last play everybody was covered, Wentz didn't give it time for the play to develop (probably because certain offensive linemen can't hold a block for 3 seconds) and threw into double coverage to McKissic, who never even had a chance to catch the ball.

Andrew Norwell might be one of the worst offensive linemen we've had in a while - I just keep watching him and between the penalties and getting pancaked by defensive linemen I have no choice but to blame Ron for bringing him in.

The uneven plays are killing us. Gain 5-10, next play penalty or sack or RB stopped in the backfield. It's so hard to gain momentum when you can't put together back to back positive yardage plays.

Wentz - enough said. He's playing scared because he can't trust the offensive line to hold blocks for 3 seconds. He doesn't set his feet, when he does trust the offensive line they reward him with a jailbreak rush, his field vision is poor and even when he makes an accurate throw sometimes he gets rewarded with a drop.

This team wasted a solid defensive effort today.

I think Norwell is the worst player we’ve had starting on this team (outside backup QBs because of injuries) in memory. He’s a turnstile.

What a soul crushing game. And yet. I somehow knew that they’d do it to me. Watching with a friend of mine who predicted the pick.

BTW, Scott Turner - FU. We have 6’5” Cam Sims and Cole Turner who is at least that tall. Can’t find any of these guys for a fade on the 2? C’mon man. What’s the point in having guys like that then?

Honestly I’m not surprised. The only time we can ever win the division is when everyone else sucks. This whole team is just shit man, idk if I can root for them much longer. If they don’t clean house this winter I’ll be done. I’m starting to root more and more for buffalo. I love Josh Allen and McDermott as a HC.

Bates had a 1:1 in the flat to the right in the endzone with a little bit of space. He was covered but not double covered. I would’ve given him a shot

I gotta be honest I don't care if we lose out. Winning games will only blunt the pain that is the Snyder/Rivera experience.

God, I would be willing to believe in you if we lose out, Snyder sells the team and the new owner brings in his own coach/GM structure. That's the best case scenario here.

Worst case scenario we win a few more, but not enough to put us in playoff contention, Snyder wiggles through all the impending "this organization is incredibly fucked up" reports and Ron returns next year with another mid-first round pick that isn't a good quarterback.

18PPG is bottom 5 in the league. Yeah the defense has been bad but the offense has been a huge letdown.

defense has played ok the last couple weeks. have to give dust up boy some credit. he has got them playing better. and huge props today for benching jackson.

i think scott turner needs to go. those calls at the end of the game were just pathetic. he'd be a good college oc, but not in the pros. and ron giving him the oc job cause norv gave him one is weak.

i think after about 8-9 games we need to see howell. wentz isn't going to get his contract picked up. they need to see what they got in the young kid in order to see if they go QB.

of course if a new staff comes in then it may not matter. they may want a clean slate and take their own guy regardless.

Why wait? NE and Pitt are playing rookies, Zappee won today (I know he’s playing because of injury) Pickett had a lot of yards, no td’s. Why waste time with Wentz when you know they are going nowhere with him. Let’s see what Howell has, maybe he’s our future QB?

Zorn , Ron , Jay G. It doesn’t matter until you get a FRANCHISE QB! Look around the league , most good teams have a top tier QB. The only real exceptions are NY and DAL. Even Jalen Hurts is mvp level this season.

Until we find that guy in the draft we will continue to suck. This team hasn’t had a legit starter since Kirk.

Alex Smith was old and done when he arrived and Wentz is also pretty much done. Dude is a statue now and won’t take any chances on the ground. He could have ran it in yesterday or at least tried but he’s too scared to get hit now.

We can’t even win at losing .. at this point I really hope we lose out and complete house cleaning in order .. the Only way that will happen is we lose out have the Number one pick and maybe that will entice a coach to want to come hear .. but that won’t happen because we will win 4 more meaningless games go 5-12 , Ron gets another year .. they resign Wentz and it’s “Wentz and repeat “ in 2023 .

I'll be at A HS football game.. I'm not watching this team anymore this season.. Yesterday I was in and out doing yard work but it was the first game I have watched since week 2.

I've watched 3 of the 5 games. I will watch this next one because it's on at home for "free". Thursday will likely be my last watched game until the Eagles whip our candy asses on MNF on 11/14/2022.

If we ever manage to get within 1 game of .500 again, I will go watch that game somewhere to see if we can get to .500. But I doubt that happens, so I'm going to save like $500 bucks this year on going out and watching games.

This is my last yr with Directv as the SUNDAY TICKET is leaving DTV. I will go to streaming services after this season.

Players simply don’t develop here. Washington is place where players start their career then move on and grow or they come here at the end of their career when they’re washed up.

Players that stay more than 3-4 years end up being woefully misused, end up being average just a guys, or get injured over and over.

Kerrigan might be the exception to the rule. Maybe Terry and Allen as well.
