Greatest Moments in Franchise History
I can't talk about the name anymore lol. Let's talk about some good ole memories. The 2 touchdowns to Moss is so classic. I forgot that Taylor destroyed someone this game too.

Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
I was at that game with my ex girlfriend. What a waste of money on my part for her as she didn’t appreciate it.
I would say when I was at the 40 yard line after Sean Taylor’s death. I was tearing up and I rarely cry. Also just growing up and remembering my dad always playing HTTR after every touchdown on the OG 45 record. |

My brother went to bed after the third quarter. Lol. Woke up to me flipping out. One time in my life I didn’t piss someone off because i woke them up. |
Greatest Moments in Franchise History
12 years old but I remember it like it was this morning. I have the DC paper with this on the cover somewhere.
My second favorite memory is when SD finally explained to me how to post YouTube videos. Lol [YT]UOue5GrL5pg[/YT] |

I will say I thought about posting the selling of the team but nothing is greater than Riggo’s run. This thread would be pretty terrible if we didn’t talk about the Gibbs 1.0 era. |

Purely a personal memory, but I've only gotten to DC once, late in '94. I managed to get into RFK cheaply (scalper was offloading his tickets just after KO) October 16th v Cardinals. Got to watch my man DG return an INT 27y for the TD, after Shuler had put us up 7-0. Of course Shuler stank the rest of the game and we lost. But to see Darrell do his thing live on the day... |

My wife and I sat at the 45 yard line, first row of the upper deck directly above JKC's box. Wildest scene ever in RFK Stadium. This one provides the flavor of the happening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1sNs4a1XTY |
Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
This was the last time I was giddy about this team. Week 17, 2012 against Dallass for the division.

Lol aware of that. I just meant that Snyders time here (no matter how torturous) could never erase our history. Especially the Superbowl years. Hopefully we do make new great memories and at the end of my time on this rock Snyders reign is hidden between better times as a Skins fan. |
Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
moss 2 td game vs Dallas was great. cooley's 3 td vs Dallas was great... and the game sean taylor got that game-winning facemask call against him with no time left.
Gibbs 2 did have some good moments (in between forcing brunell out there when he was completely done etc.)... remember that playoff win where we had 69 total passing yards :/ |

I was there. Biggest blowout win against Dallas ever I think? Parcells said after the game that it was over before it started. He never felt so intimidated going into a visiting stadium. |

Right, but if you read my original post i said the greatest moment in the last .25 century ( which here is a little hint there are not many or any) is DS selling the team. Obviously in the big picture there are many more great moments then the sale but thanks to DS that all came to a stop under his tenure. |

Does the age of the memory mean it doesn't count, just because you may have been just a glint in your Daddy's eye at the time? I'm tired of you smart mouth little whipper snappers trying to mess with my fond memories. And stay off of my lawn! |
Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
Hiring Bobby Beathard who hired Joe Gibbs, the rest is history.

We should have a separate thread for the worst moments under Snyder.

Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
I’m so sick of talking about the past. Ready for Howell to become the best QB we had in 30 years
|
Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
I just feel bad for the fans of this team that are in their 20's and 30's. Their best memories are the 2012 season.

Stop it. Just because we sucked for a while doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate our storied past. Steelers are always good and im sure they never get sick of talking about Franco and the curtain, etc. Also I could be the best quarterback we had in 30 years. I think Sam is gonna surprise folks but honestly just use your wheels and throw accurately over 5 yards and ill be over the moon! |

Totally get it. I was 20. I just wish people would say “we need knew great memories”, and leave the” im so sick of hearing about riggins n gibbs n the superbowls” out of the statement. It happened and it will never unhappen and i will never stop reveling in it. Too many great memories is never a problem. We could be the Lions or the Browns or a handful of others that have never see that kind of dominance for that many years, in person or on film. |

john riggins long touchdown run in the superbowl against the on 4th and 1 which brought us are first lombardi throphy

I'm currently reading "Fourth and One" by Joe Gibbs. Absolute great read so far highlighting a lot of the franchise's historical success. Impossible not to love Gibbs.

A bunch of us were there, and it was absolutely electric. Most emotional I've ever been about sports in my lifetime that day.

Re: Greatest Moments in Franchise History
Yeah that HOF weekend was seriously one of the coolest things I've ever been to.
