Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
Seriously. Did anyone else watch Rivera’s presser where the reporter asked about the “heated conversations” on the sideline?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hard to watch. He’s so obviously in over his head at this point. Players have lost faith, coaches don’t care anymore, and the fans have to watch a shit product trot out for the rest of the season before the slate gets wiped clean, again. But hey, “there’s always next year.” |
Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
we got 5 more games to go w/ this group. the crowd that wants ron gone today, it serves no purpose. there isn't a head coach on the staff at all. 5 more games to go w/ these clowns.

Agreed. Letting Ron go now only says they're trying to save the season. There is no saving this season. There's no mid-to-late season run waiting for us. We have a very tough schedule and a mediocre roster or coaching staff (why not both?). Take the L's for the rest of the year and let the next coaching staff use that high draft pick to start fresh next year. |

You are right !!! I would seriously take a look at Dan Quinn .. I know he is from Dallas .. I would at least put him in the conversation.. |

Quinn is one of these guys where I can't tell if he is just a really good coordinator or if he deserves a second chance at HC. It's obvious he's a really good coordinator, but why did things go so bad for him in Atlanta? Our best hope is that he takes another HC job in the offseason. I thought after last week hopefully we'd get over embarrassing losses, but man does it suck watching the Cowboys roll us on Thanksgiving. And seeing Daron Bland break the INT/TD record was the dagger. |
Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
We knew this was gonna happen .. we may not win another game this season and I’m good with it .. I’m holding out on Sam but damn the team is so bad it’s hard to tell .. look at Terry .. he isn’t playing up to his standards.. I truly think the players have given in to the noise and it’s gonna be dismal the rest of year .. every fan that attends any of the home games should bring out the paper bags .. we are on that level

There isn’t a game we will win. 4-13 and the number 3 pick is coming

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I missed the heated conversation. Any clips? Maybe too many tears 😭 Defensively… safeties and linebackers have zero positive impact on the game. Not really much to talk about. We weren’t a few plays away from winning this one. Bad across the board. |

Scary considering our next opponent has 4 track guys on offense.
Dolphins are going to be up 28 at halftime. |

Dallas is really good this year especially their defense but they are not going to beat SF or Philly

BSJ and Curl are absolutely toast in coverage. Fuller is slow and can’t keep up either. It’s ugly man. I wouldn’t bring any of them back next year. Keep Forbes of course and add cheap FA corners and maybe draft one in the 2nd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
Next 5 games
Miami - Loss Rams - Loss most likely Jets - Win because they are soo bad on O SF - Loss Dallas - Loss (they’d beat us with backups) 5-12 and probably the 4th overall pick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
OptaStats:
Entering today, NFL teams were a combined 57-0 over the last 25 regular seasons when having a game with: 100+ rushing yards 250+ passing yards 35:00+ TOP no more than 25 penalty yards no more than 1 turnover The Commanders did all that today and lost by 35. |

Jets D is probably going to be the best we have seen. Our D is as bad as their O. Gonna be a toss up. |

The tank rolls on. Just 5 more games of this mess before we turn the page and the Harris Era truly begins.

Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
3rd and 1? 4th and 1? time for shotgun :/ 3 out of 3 times.
back 7 just don't have it. feel free to throw coaching in there too. |

...
My honest opinion is this applies to the whole roster in varying degrees. They all realise the coaching staff is toast, including EB. And I think to a man they've given up. I think Howell is the possible exception, though I suspect in his case, his bad games are happening because he feels he has to force it as everyone else around him has all but given up. Now you may say they're professionals and should still play, but anyone who's been in a badly managed job knows that eventually it'll wear you down, and some of these guys have been in that situation for years. Many were probably hoping for changes last offseason and saw this season as a slow death of the RR era. Notably, I think the departure of Harris had a very detrimental effect on the secondary. I can't help feeling that with a new FO regime and much better coaches, a lot of the players being criticised will see a resurgence. We still need holes filled, particularly at OL and LB, but I don't think this roster is nearly as bad as it's being made out to be. |

I think it’s a combo of some non-NFL level talent (much of our OL, LBs, and secondary) and some good or even great players badly underachieving. But it’s hard to point to anyone playing well consistently right now. Part of me hopes RR gets canned today as it can’t get worse and it will signal to the players that change is coming. Maybe that second group will show some life before season’s end. I see RR refused to answer the question of how the players can expect a different result if things don’t change. Seriously, that’s pathetic - it’s a fair question and he owes everyone a response. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They will want to stack the team with their type of guys. Defense is going to change the most. 43 vs 34, cover 2 vs bump and run. Who knows what the next coach is going to install. Expect 50% turnover on D. Some of the players will fit better than others. |

Coaching, and particularly bringing in coaches with better energy, will make a bigger difference than anything, and that may invigorate the 70-80% of the roster that's, in the past, been at a good NFL level. I just feel that some of these guys were good last season or the year before, and can't see how many suddenly became JAG's purely because their talent supposedly disappeared. |

at this point keep SH healthy and let him work with EB and rack up losses; that is the best case scenario

Agreed. And look around the league, good coaching makes good team with a couple of really good players surrounded by quality jags... Especially on defense. |

I won't be one bit shocked if at some point in this season Sam tears his Achilles or ACL on the field at Fedex. He has to scramble so often and takes hits on the run too often for it not to happen to this team. Can't have a potential QB stay healthy through a full season. |
Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
Forget the coaching…yes it’s not great, but this roster isn’t very good.
I see no problem cleaning house in the front office during the bye week. |
Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread
Offense had 400 plus yards yesterday but only 10 points.... Yards are fine and all but points matter most...
