JD5 to sit the rest of the year
Per Adam Schefter
What a wasted season. We got a lot of work to do this offseason There needs to be changes on how JD5 plays the game. |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year

Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
The JD5 dream is crumbling like a sand castle at high tide
|
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
If JD eventually flames out for whatever reason; how far will that set us back.
|
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
JD5 has the arm talent, stick him under center more often and develop a running game that takes the pressure of him being the primary playmaker on the ground.
|
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
That is the recipe for success!

Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
JD needs to work on protecting himself first and foremost. Stop with the hero ball mentality. Live to play another down.
KK needs to reevaluate the offense and do whatever he can to support him. And finally AP needs to surround him with weapons. He needs help at WR, TE, and RB. Ertz is done, Deebo has been ok but I’m not giving him an extension at his age, and it would be nice to find a legit stud RB. |

I have mixed feelings - I think he could do more if we had other offense weapons to take attention away from him. But he has shown that he is not able to become #1 if McLaurin is hurt again. |

Whether he gets another head coaching gig or a lateral move. We need a new OC. |

Can't believe they're sitting him down. That's BS. Stop babying him. Totally ridiculous.

There is nothing to gain by him playing imo. He needs to let his pride go and stop trying to be a hero every play. He hasn't learned it yet and I don't think he will if we just keep throwing him back out there this season. He seems like a smart guy off of the field, he needs to play like a smart guy on the field. But he keeps getting drilled. Maybe missing some games will help him understand we don't need him getting absolutely fucking blasted all the time. No one is questioning his toughness. Stop taking those unnecessary hits. We aren't ever winning a Super Bowl with you not playing. |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
Sit Tunsil too if he injured

You just said it, he hasn't learned. How do you learn? By watching? lol. I'm watching multiple QB's that are injured that are playing. This is a pain tolerance injury and he re-aggravated it by making a tackle. Get your treatment and get back out there. They already said he could have come back into the game when he got hurt again. I love JD still, but I want a guy who doesn't except this shit and will want to play no matter what. He should be telling Quinn, Peters, the docs and Harris to fuck off, I'm playing. |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
I just saw Mahomes got a knee injury and now the diagnosis is worse than previous thought which will threaten his availability for the upcoming season.
The juice isn’t worth the squeezing for a season that’s done. Plus I’d like to see him play healthy with a better roster which also will mitigate injury risk. |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
If he’s healthy enough to play he should be in there. Can’t tell me with 3 games there aren’t meaningful snaps and experience to be had. Hopefully it’s truly a medical decision.

Couldnt agree more. |

It wasn’t. The buzz is AP ordered it. |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
I'd like to have seen him play more games, but if he's not even close to 100% I can see the sense in giving him time to fully heal before the offseason program. I'd say I don't like it but I understand it.

Yep I'm in the same boat. We likely won't ever find out what exactly is the reason. |

That’s the report but he may have ordered it because of a medical report that made him more skittish than others. And given what happened to RGknee, being a bit gun shy here isn’t shocking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
Just be ready for season after season of the top story line is JD5's healthy and will he play on Sunday
I honestly be surprised if he makes it through his rookie contract |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
I think JD5 QB draft class could be the best all time.
I think JD5 would be the best out of the bunch, but he’s gonna need to be in a better system |
Re: JD5 to sit the rest of the year
Remember when RG3 won rookie of the year over Russell Wilson? We thought we were set and that was the right choice but Wilson turned out to be the much better pick, and it’s looking more and more like Caleb Williams > Jayden
